But, since the first day is now in the books, I will gladly join in! LOL!

I have just started The Ideal Man, am finishing up Karen Robards' Pursuit, and Laura Moore's Believe in Me. I'm hoping to get my hands on the new Robards book ASAP. I've also been reading the Sullivan boys series by KM Daughters. One more book to go in a series, then it's on to something new.

Now I have to put away the computer and my books and try to get a class schedule together that doesn't require me to teach fourth grade spelling while cooking dinner. ;-) I need a few more hours in the day.Kara Chttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12056143467787741990noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3779923555333795934.post-21400074266818636242011-08-15T19:38:56.267-05:002011-08-15T19:38:56.267-05:00Hello,

I can't wait to dive into the stories.

I also just read Stephanie Tyler's In the Air Tonight and really enjoyed it, but would recommend reading the first two in the series to get the full effect of all the continuing characters.

Another book I recently read was Brenda Novak's Inside. This was my first book by her. It had an interesting premise with the hero being in jail for many years (wrongly convicted of murder) and trying to extricate himself from the gang he joined to survive. I'm looking forward to the next book in this series.

Good week to everyone.Jennifer D.https://www.blogger.com/profile/13136724758101591425noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3779923555333795934.post-75967807836923805692011-08-15T17:28:06.948-05:002011-08-15T17:28:06.948-05:00Happy Monday everyone. We had a VERY busy and eventful weekend in Las Vegas this weekend where my son competed at a national karate tournament where he took 2 FIRST places a SECOND place and a FOURTH place. It was all very SWEET but VERY taxing on the old bones, not to mention a 3 am wake up call to get on the plane yesterday. So jammies are in order today.

I read a few really good books while on my travels. Jackie recommended to me Kaylea Cross, and I started her SEAL series, with Out of Her League and Cover of Darkness. I loved these books and highly recommend them.

I finished a couple of older rereleases from an author I usually love, and they were just kind of "eh" for me.

I also read After the Fire by Kathryn Shay, I have had this on my Nook for a long time, I don't know what made me pick up it this week, but I am kicking myself for not reading it sooner. I really loved it and am looking forward to reading more from this author.

Should be a relatively easy week in the Frost home, we are starting school shopping...yes, I wait till the last minute cause my mutant is growing at astounding rates. Have a great week everyone.Hopehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09857512146760238016noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3779923555333795934.post-28292782245787956572011-08-15T16:36:44.129-05:002011-08-15T16:36:44.129-05:00Thanks, Jane. Have them pre-ordered so my copy should soon be on its way.

In Malta kids start school end of September. Its too hot for them to study anyway. Mine go to summer club while I am at work, however this week we are on leave and are going to Malta's sister island of Gozo with my family. We are six siblings plus my parents our husbands/wives and 13 grandchildren. Believe me, we will make loads of noise :).

Today was the feast of Santa Maria in Malta. Its a public holiday. We went out to eat at lunch time then took the kids to watch The Smurfs. Brought back memoeires of when we used to watch it on Italian TV when we were kids. In Italian they are called Puffi.

This week I have read my first Michelle Willingham books - Claimed by a Highland Warrior and Seduced by Her Highland Warrior. They are quite good and am now hankering for more medieval books.

So if any of you have suggestions for good medieval romances I'd appreciate. Just so you get an idea - I adore Julie Garwood's medievals but also enjoy Monica McCarty's.

This week I recommend MArie Force's Fatal series. I know most of you have already read the books. I am really really enjoying them.

Also recommend Roxanne St Claire's Killer Curves - more contemp than romantic suspense but very enjoyable.Lucinoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3779923555333795934.post-59971762005292768062011-08-15T13:44:46.386-05:002011-08-15T13:44:46.386-05:00Thanks for answeering my question, Ronlyn.

It was nice to actually see and hear you talking about the Sweet books.

No recommends from me today. I bought Marliss
Meltons The Protector and SEPs Glitter Baby but I am determined to save them for our holidays in the first two weeks in September. And as ther are so many reconmmends here I am sure I will have a huge amazon order before we start for Denmark.

I also bought Nora Roberts "Without a trace" at our local bookstore and and at first I was pleased to actually find an english book. But when I started reading I discovered that I already read the German version, only the family there was called O´Hara instead of O`Hurley - so I was a bit dissapointed.

Annie you mentioned your grandson starts kindergarten tomorrow. Congratulations! May I ask a question ? After reading many books where starting kindergarten is mentioned I always wondered what kindergarten is in the U.S. Is it some sort of preschool? I am curious because kindergarten is a german word but I think it is something entirely different here.

Have a nice week everyone.Elkenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3779923555333795934.post-44041801186522931032011-08-15T12:38:16.184-05:002011-08-15T12:38:16.184-05:00Happy Monday all,

I woke up in the middle of the night, couldn't go back to sleep, so I picked this book up. I read most of it straight through without interruptions. It was so awesome-- it's In The Air Tonight by Stephanie Tyler. LOVE that series!!

My boys start school next Wednesday. I am so ready- but they are dreading it! They are entering 8th and 5th grades... I go back to work (a nearby preschool) in exactly 2 weeks. So I get a few days of peace and quiet before I head back. :)

We had a full weekend... a family reunion and trips to the county fair Fri, Sat and Sun. Between both of those- I have pigged out so bad! I love those big 'ole onion rings and funnel cakes... I am holding off on the fried and fatty foods for this week.

Have a good week, everybody!Bertanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3779923555333795934.post-60530255824493286022011-08-15T11:44:15.581-05:002011-08-15T11:44:15.581-05:00Enjoy your quiet time with Jared and Mia!!
