Recommend Monday!

Good Monday Everyone!

Hope your weekend was fabulous!

I'm in the midst of Honor and Seth's story, SWEET JUSTICE. Loving this couple...their chemistry is amazing! With that said, deadline looms and I'm on the precipice. So please forgive the short post. I just have one question for you today.

What book do you want everyone to read?

Also, remember to come back on Friday to start our Fun, Frivolous and Freebie Friday!

Have a wonderful week and I'll see you back here on Friday!

Recommend Monday!

Good Monday All!

How was your weekend? If you're a football fan, did your favorite team win? The Crimson Tide (my team) did quite nicely, so it was happy time for half of my household. My sweetheart is a Tennessee fan, so not so much for him. ):

Since I finished up revisions on SWEET REVENGE and sent them off to my editor, I gave myself a treat and took a couple of days off. Had such fun! Read one book...had wanted and planned to read more, but I'm not a fast reader. I tend to stop in the midst of a book to think about it or if a particular sentence resonates with me, I'll read it several times. LOL, yes, I'm odd like that. However, the book I read (which I think many who comment here read months ago) was Pamela Clare's Naked Edge. I loved it! So much emotion! I cried buckets in one part and if you've read it, I'm sure you know what part. It's one of those books that stays in your thoughts long after you read the last page. Pamela Clare once again proves why she is one of my favorite romantic suspense authors. I cannot wait for Natalie and Zach's book, Breaking Point, which, I think, releases July 2012.

Today, it's back to work on SWEET JUSTICE. I absolutely love the chemistry that Seth and Honor have together. They do have some issues to work through and are quite combustible right now, but I do foresee a very happy ending for both of them. Whew!

So what's going on in your neck of the woods? (Southernism for 'What's happening in your world?') What great books are you recommending this week?

That's it for me. Now I'm headed back to Texas where Seth and Honor are about to...

Happy Monday All!

Fabulous Friday!

Hey Everyone!

Hope you had a splendidifulrous week. (Yes, I made that word up!) I am celebrating because revisions for SWEET REVENGE went to my editor yesterday. Yayayayayayay! Trying not to get too excited since there could be more, but for right now, it's a 'Yippee!' moment for me.

This weekend, I plan to go on a reading binge. Now in the middle of Pamela Clare's Naked Edge and loving it! Not sure what's next. Thanks to all of you who recommended books to me. I will be reading several of those! Also, someone suggested, I think on Twitter, that I read The Help. I downloaded it on to my Kindle. Anyone read it? I know it was a huge bestseller.

Also, I wanted to let you all know that beginning October 1, which coincidently falls on a Friday, I'm starting a contest that will last the entire month of October. It's called Fall Friday Freebie Frivolity. Here's the gist. When I was a kid, one of the most enjoyable times at school were the fall festivals. I don't think we called them that, but that's what they were in my mind. One of the events I enjoyed the most was this fishing thing where you put a fishing pole on the other side of a curtain and someone attached a 'grab bag' to the hook. You never knew what was going to be in the grab bag. Could be homemade sweets (usually was) but might also include games, books. Anything! I loved opening my grab bag and finding surprises.

So here's what we're going to do. I'm going to blog every Friday about something fun and one commenter on the blog will receive a 'grab bag' box from me. No fishing pole necessary. (:

One thing that I know will be included are books. I promise the box will have at least 4 to 5 books. Some may be new, some may be older. All will be romance. And one of the books will be mine. There will be other treats as well. Nothing homemade. Don't want you to get food poisoning! We'll start it all on Friday, October 1, so be sure to mark your calendars!

Also, I hope to be sharing an excerpt of SWEET REVENGE in the next few weeks, so be on the lookout for that. And, of course, one of the things I always get the most excited about...the cover! Haven't seen anything yet, but can't wait to see what it'll look like this time.

Anything fun and fabulous you're looking forward to this weekend? What'cha reading? Anything on your mind?

Okay, now I'm off to have some more fun. Be sure to come back on Monday for Recommend Monday. I anticipate having a few recommends myself!

Have a great weekend all!

Recommend Monday!

Good Monday All!

What a lovely September morning here in Alabama. The nights have cooled down considerably and though the days are still warm, the humidity is almost non-existent. Wish it could stay like this forever! How's the weather in your part of the world?

This week looks to be a super busy one. SWEET REVENGE revisions are almost done. Yes, it does seem like this has been going on for a looooooooong time, but the light at the end of that long revision tunnel is finally in sight. After I send them off, I'm taking a few days to regroup. Cars need servicing, fur-kids need bathing and husband needs me to say something to him other than, "Can't, I'm on deadline." (:

Thanks for all the additional recommends last week. As I mentioned, I'm wanting to read something absolutely fabulous during the few days I'm off, so if something else comes to mind, feel free to make the suggestion.

What about your great reads last week? What are you recommending that we run out and buy this week?

Hope you all have a wonderful week!

It's Monday, let's Recommend a Book!

Good Monday Everyone!

Did you have a fabulous weekend? If you're in the U.S., are you off work today? How are you celebrating your Labor Day? Anyone grilling?

What books did you read last week that you're dying to recommend? Lots of new releases tomorrow...are you looking forward to any one book in particular? Here's a recommend for you. I was fortunate to read an advanced reading copy of Maya Banks, The Darkest Hour. It's the first book in a new romantic suspense series and releases tomorrow. I think you'll really enjoy it!

I'm still revising, but really hope to get these revisions done this week and get back to Honor and Seth. Especially Seth, who is looking decidedly grumpy. Although he may have heard from others of how I love to torture my characters. You know how those LCR people like to talk...Angela, are you hearing me? Well, of course, that doesn't include Dylan who is known to go days without uttering anything but the occasional growl. Grrr...

Anyway, my week is all set with my surly but wonderful Dylan and the lovely and spirited Jamie. What are you up to?
