Update on Midnight Shadows by Ella Grace

From Ella Grace:

Hi Wildefire Readers! Just wanted to give you an update on the long awaited Midnight Shadows, the last book of the Wildefire trilogy. I had really hoped to get the book out to you this year but unfortunately it's not going to happen.

The good news is it will be released early next year. I have unique affinity for Sabrina and really want her story to shine. I knew if I rushed the book, I wouldn't do her or the amazingly wonderful Ian Mackenzie any favors. So as disappointed as I am that I didn't finish in time to release the book this year, the story will be the better for it. Once you read it, I hope you'll love it as much as I do.

If you're signed up for my newsletter, be on the lookout for an exclusive preview of the Midnight Shadows cover and a chance to win a fabulous prize. I'll also send a notice to subscribers the day the book is released.

If you're not a subscriber, you can sign up for both my Ella Grace and Christy Reece newsletters here: Newsletter sign-up

Stay tuned for the back cover copy and excerpts coming soon!

Midnight Shadows update

Hey All! Just wanted to pop in and let you know I'm still planning to release Midnight Shadows, the last book in Ella Grace's Wildefire trilogy, before the end of the year. Writing is slower than I'd like but we're moving forward. Thanks so much for everyone's patience!

Wanted to share a rough draft of the back cover copy to give you a hint of what Sabrina and Ian are going to be facing.

Midnight Shadows, A Wildefire Novel

Known as the Wild Child of Midnight, Alabama, Sabrina Wilde has worked hard to earn that reputation. Hiding a deep pain even her sisters don’t know, Sabrina fights everyday to forget. Fiercely loyal and protective of those she loves, her protective instincts go into overdrive when she witnesses a murder. Fearful that she has put her family in danger, Sabrina will do anything she has to do to keep her loved ones safe, even at the risk of her own life.

Ian Mackenzie has loved Sabrina for years. Understanding her pain and wariness of commitment doesn’t stop him from hoping that someday she will trust him with her heart. When Sabrina puts herself in jeopardy, seemingly willing to sacrifice her own life to save others, Ian’s only priority is to keep her safe. He never knew what it would cost him.

Now, as evil draws closer to Midnight, the entire town must make a decision. Sacrifice one of their own to keep themselves safe or fight for the one who had been willing to die for them.

What's Happening

Hi Everyone!

I'm getting numerous emails about what book is up next. Thought it would be a good idea to tell you what I'm working on and what's in the plans.

Right now, I'm furiously writing Midnight Shadows, the third book in the Ella Grace Wildefire trilogy. This is Sabrina Wilde's and Ian Mackenzie's story. I'm running behind but am determined to get the book out before the end of the year. Please send good thoughts that I can make this happen!

Next year it will be all about Grey Justice and LCR Elite. The plan is to write and release two Grey Justice books and two LCR Elite books. Yes that's a lot but I'd love to tell these stories as close together as possible. More good thoughts would be appreciated.

I'm also getting lots of questions about more books in the Wildefire series, specifically for Brody and Logan. The truth is I don't have an answer yet. Since my publisher chose not to continue the Wildefire series and I'm self publishing Midnight Shadows, much of this depends upon reader demand and my writing schedule. Hopefully I'll have more concrete information for you early next year.

Thank you all again for the fabulous reception for the first book in the LCR Elite series. Not only for the kind reviews and wonderful emails but Running On Empty also landed on several Amazon best seller lists, both in the US and in Canada. There's not a day that goes by that I don't realize how very blessed I am to be doing a job I love and having readers like you who want to read more of my books.

Current Giveaways:

If you're on Goodreads, I'm giving away 5 signed copies of Running On Empty. Contest ends in a couple of weeks, so be sure to enter soon. Here's the link: Running On Empty Goodreads Giveaway

I'm almost at 10,000 'likes' on my Facebook Author Page. As soon as the page reaches that number, I'll be giving one member every one of my books--all 15! I'm just a few hundred away so if you haven't 'liked' my page yet, come on over! Here's that link: Facebook Author Page

A new Facebook page specifically for LCR Elite was created last week. On this page, I'll share snippets of LCR Elite books and news. I have a contest going on to give away a Running On Empty T-shirt. Hope you'll come by and check it out. Here's the link: LCR Elite

Again, thank you for reading my books and for your wonderful support with your reviews, emails, comments, and recommending my books to others. You make this writer girl's heart sing!

Happy Reading!

A Note of Thanks

To all my wonderful readers, thank you! For its first week out, you've given the LCR Elite team a fabulously warm welcome. I love all the comments and emails from you and I'm thrilled you're enjoying Running On Empty. Declan and Sabrina are one of my favorite couples and I'm so happy to know that readers are enjoying their story.

Filled with suspense, action, romance, spies, espionage, rescues, revenge, and redemption, along with a tortured hero and a heroine who never gives up, Running On Empty has a little something for every reader of romantic suspense.

Remember, Running On Empty is an indie (self published) book, so you won't be able to find it in any retail stores. I've listed the buys links for both ebook and paperback.

And if you're subscribed to my newsletter, the contest winner will be announced tomorrow. Stay tuned!

Update from Christy Reece

Hey All! Happy almost Summer!

So sorry I haven't updated you lately. It's been a hectic year. However, despite a few delays and a couple of setbacks, I still plan to release Running On Empty, An LCR Elite Novel this summer. Declan and Sabrina have stolen my heart and I cannot wait for you to read their story.

Next week I'll reveal the absolutely gorgeous cover. I think it's my best LCR cover yet!

Once Running On Empty is in readers' hands, I'll begin work on Midnight Shadows, which is Sabrina Wilde's book and the last book in the Ella Grace Wildefire trilogy. I still don't know if there will be more Wildefire books after that one. Will have to wait and see.

Once Midnight Shadows releases, which should be this Fall, I'll end this year's new releases with another Grey Justice novel--no title yet. Thank you to all who followed me to a new series. I have loved the emails and notes from readers telling me how much they enjoyed Nothing To Lose. I cannot wait to see what Grey Justice and his justice seekers have in store for us next.

Have a great weekend and be sure to come back next week for the Running On Empty cover reveal!

Happy Book Birthday to Rescue Me!!!

Hard to believe that five years ago today my first book, Rescue Me, was released. I have so many wonderful memories about this book. I still remember the incredible rush I felt at finishing a story that came straight from my heart. The email from my future agent telling me she enjoyed the book and wanted to talk. (Yes there were tears!) And the astounding feeling of selling Rescue Me, along with two other as yet unnamed books, to a publisher. (Yes there were more tears!)

The day Rescue Me was released, I had a terrible upper respiratory infection and stayed in bed most of the day coughing my head off. Even as sick as I was, I wouldn't change a thing about that day. It was so very fine. :)

Five years of being a published author has been a wonderful, mind-blowing journey. There have been joys, disappointments, regrets, and excitement beyond anything I'd ever imagined. Even though we've parted ways, I will always be grateful to my agent for taking on a newbie author who knew next to nothing about the business and my publisher for not only buying my first book, but subsequently publishing eight more in that series and two others of another series. Getting anywhere in this business is often a team effort and their support made all the difference.

To celebrate Rescue Me's birthday, I'm giving away five signed copies. If you've never read the first book in the Last Chance Rescue series, or if you've read it but would like a signed copy, or if you'd like to gift it to someone, comment on this blog with your name and email address so I can get in touch with you if you win. I'll announce the winners Wednesday, April 30.

The first adventure in this action-packed, romantic suspense trilogy features a beautiful operative for an elite rescue organization, dealing with a rugged new partner, a dangerous mission …and her own secret past.

A covert operative of Last Chance Rescue Enterprises (LCR), Eden St. Claire has made secrets her life’s work. Seven years ago, an evening of emotional vulnerability and pure pleasure almost destroyed her. Now Eden wears her beauty like a mask, concealing any hint of vulnerability or demons of her past.

A daring rescue of an innocent girl on a Greek island leads Eden to a new partner. Jordan Montgomery, new to LCR, has been looking for Eden—though he knows her by another name, from another time. But his search for her is overshadowed by a case that’s gone international. A powerful, ruthless, organized network is stealing women and children around the world—as a lover, a traitor, and a killer all wait for Eden’s next move.
