Happy Anniversary LCR!

Hi All-

RESCUE ME, the first book in the Last Chance Rescue series, was released on April 28, 2009. It's hard to believe it's only been a year. So much has happened during that time.

When I first started writing RESCUE ME, I had no plans to write a series and actually didn't even know about Last Chance Rescue until I started writing the book. I knew I wanted to write a story about a young girl who makes a terrible mistake in judgement and suffers horrific consequences because of that mistake. I knew she disappeared. And I knew the man who'd broken her heart would suffer an agonizing guilt and never stop looking for her.

I think the first spark of knowledge I had about Last Chance Rescue was in the third chapter of RESCUE ME. Eden bounds out of bed after her nightmare, works out till exhausted and then begins to get dressed. As she's dressing, she's thinking about her persona. And that's when I began to wonder who she's employed by and why. After what happened to her, I realized it only made sense that she work for an organization who rescues. No one was there to rescue Eden in her darkest moment and now she's determined to save others from the same fate.

When Eden arrives at the LCR office building and begins the elevator ride up to Noah's office, Last Chance Rescue was born. She described it to me; I wrote it down.

And then I met Noah McCall.

I loved Noah the instant Eden walked into his office. I knew he had secrets, was devastatingly handsome and infuriatingly arrogant. But there had to be good in him. A man doesn't create and totally devote his entire life to an organization like Last Chance Rescue without some major redeeming qualities. But I also knew he wasn't the man for Eden; Jordan still held her heart.

The more I learned about Last Chance Rescue, the more Noah intrigued me. So once Eden and Jordan's story was told and they got their happy ever after, I had to tell Noah's story. So I began to write RETURN TO ME and learned how much heart Noah McCall really did have.

And then I met Ethan Bishop and, of course, had to write RUN TO ME...

Every time I wrote an LCR book, a secondary character would appear, intriguing me to want to know more. Now, I'm in the midst of writing the 7th book in what is, so far, a 9 book series. Each hero and/or heroine in a book has been a secondary character in a previous book. I love having the opportunity to get to know my characters over a period of books. By the time I'm ready to write their story, I feel like I know them very well. Although, I'll admit that some have thrown me a curve ball from time to time. (Are you listening, Dylan?)

I love writing and I love Last Chance Rescue. However, these books would not have been possible without readers. I sincerely appreciate the letters, emails and messages I've received from readers who have enjoyed the LCR stories. They have sustained and inspired me more than anyone will ever know.

So, I thought it would be fun to chat about the Last Chance Rescue series...when did you first hear about it? Was RESCUE ME the first LCR book you read? If not, which one did you read first? Do you have a favorite couple, villain, scene or perhaps a favorite line (Jackie and Mary)?

I'll collect comments through Monday, May 3. On Tuesday, May 4, one random commenter will win a very special anniversary gift.

For anyone new to the Last Chance Rescue books, welcome to the series! All books are stand alone, so reading them in order is not necessary. And, for anyone wondering about characters and couples, here's a breakdown by title and order of release:

RESCUE ME - Eden St. Claire and Jordan Montgomery
RETURN TO ME - Noah McCall and Samara Lyons
RUN TO ME - Ethan Bishop and Shea Monroe
NO CHANCE - Gabe Maddox and Skylar James
SECOND CHANCE - Cole Mathison and Keeley Fairchild
LAST CHANCE - McKenna Sloan and Lucas Kane
SWEET REVENGE - Dylan Savage and ??????
SWEET JUSTICE - Honor Stone and ??????
SWEET REWARD - Mia Ryker and ???????

Of course, the last three haven't been written yet, so I don't want to spoil the surprises!

Thanks again to all the wonderful LCR readers! I look forward to reading your Last Chance Rescue comments!

Wonderful Wednesday!

Good Wednesday All!

Hope everyone is having a fabulous week. As for me, after many stops and starts with one Mr. Dylan Savage, strong, silent man that he is, he has finally started opening up and telling me a few things. Sigh... Glad he's already my hero because if he wasn't, I'd have to rearrange some things. The man is melting my heart!

And since the Savage man is being so cooperative, I need to get back to him as soon as possible. Yes...Yes. It's a tough job, but somebody's got to do it!

So, this is going to be short and SWEET!

The first two people to post: I WANT ONE LAST CHANCE! wins an early copy.

And since this is my mailing day, if I get the winners' addresses early, I can mail them today!

So...

Ready. Set. Post!

Recommend Monday!

Good Monday All-

How was your weekend? Did you do anything extraordinarily fun you want to share? Did you read any fabulous books last week that you want the world to read too?

I stayed quite busy with SWEET REVENGE. Dylan and I had several lengthy discussions and a few healthy arguments. I think the air is finally beginning to clear and we're developing a relationship we can both abide. (: What can I say, the man is an enigma!

Guess what! Only 8 days until LAST CHANCE releases. YaYaYaYaYaY!!! So excited to be able to share Lucas and McKenna's story with you. I've heard from several of you who won early copies of LAST CHANCE and have already read the book. So far, everyone seems to have really enjoyed it. Yay for that!

I'll be giving away several copies of LAST CHANCE this week, here on my blog, as well as my Facebook pages. There will be lots of CHANCEs to win! Stay tuned!

But for now, let's talk books. What did you read last week that you loved and want everyone to know about so they can enjoy a great read too? Let's add to our ever increasing TBR list!

Hope everyone has an incredibly wonderful, absolutely fabulous week!

Finally Friday!

Hi All-

Just a quick note to say hey and let you know I'm writing away on SWEET REVENGE. Dylan, bless his stoic, non-talkative soul, is going to get a good talking to this weekend. It's time for the man to give up and tell me what's going on with him. I plan to knock out some major pages in the next fews day, so I'll be off-line much of that time.

I hope everyone has had a fabulous week and that you're planning a wonderfully relaxing weekend.

Be sure to check back Monday morning for Recommend Monday. Will definitely want to know what great reads you had last week and what you want the world to read too.

I'll be giving away a few copies of LAST CHANCE next week, so stay tuned. And, in case you didn't know, LAST CHANCE will be released Tuesday, April 27. Eleven days to go! Can't wait to share Lucas and McKenna's story with everyone. Some of you won a copy last week and should be getting the book very soon. Yay!

Okay, that's it for me until Monday!

Have a safe and lovely weekend!

Wonderful Wednesday

Good Morning All!

Hope you're having a fabulous week so far. Is the sun shining where you are? It's been glorious here.

I've been furiously writing away on SWEET REVENGE (Dylan is finally talking to me) and haven't had the CHANCE to check in as frequently as I would like. However, I thought since I just received a box of spanking, brand new, hot off the press shiny, colorful and beautiful LAST CHANCE copies, I'd give a couple of people a CHANCE to win one.

So how about it. Anyone want one LAST CHANCE?

If so, the first two people to post a comment with: "I WANT ONE LAST CHANCE" will win a signed copy. And since I'm headed to the post office in a bit, I'll be mailing it today. Two of you could have it for the weekend!

First two people to comment with those words wins!

Ready. Set. Post!

Good Monday All!

Did you have a fabulous week of reading last week? I've heard from several of you privately who found some great reads. I'm looking forward to learning what those books are. Always eager to add to my enormous TBR stack!

As for me, no reading but I did have some interesting conversations with several of my characters. Those strong, silent types are wonderful to read about but when writing about them, the silent part can be frustrating! This week, I'm going to concentrate on writing what I've learned about them. Wish me luck!

Guess what? LAST CHANCE will be released in 15 days! Hard to believe it's almost here. Seems like forever since SECOND CHANCE was released. I can't wait to finally share McKenna and Lucas's story with you. Hope you love them as much as I do!

Stay tuned because my author copies should be coming soon. I'm looking forward to giving away several when they do!

So tell us, what fantabulous books do you want the world to know about and read?

Okay, that's it for me. I'll stop in tonight and chat but now I'm going to buckle down and write like the wind>>>>>>>>>>>>

Happy Monday!

Finally Friday!

Hi All--

How has your week been? Mine has been busy with writing. SWEET REVENGE is finally coming together in my mind. Now I've just got to get it down! Have to say that Dylan Savage and I have had some awkward conversations. Talk about the strong, silent type! But now that he has seen the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, meaning his 'happy ever after', he's decided to open up a bit. Whew!

How's the heroine of SWEET REVENGE coming along? Actually considering her background, she's coming along much better than I anticipated. After what she's been through, she's the one I expected to be more difficult. Sigh. I guess it's only fair that my characters are torturing me since I have a tendency to torture them. However, in my defense, I do give them a happy ending. So you'd think they'd cut me some slack!

I know many of you are wondering exactly who this mysterious heroine is. Can't reveal her name yet, but soon, I promise!

So enough with my craziness. How about you? How was your week? What are you reading? Any fun plans for the weekend?

I'm hoping to get my author copies of LAST CHANCE very soon. And when I do, I'll have a quick contest. Can't wait for you all to read McKenna and Lucas's story so we can talk about them.

Okay, that's it for me. Going back into my LCR world and encouraging Dylan to open up a bit more. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend! And don't forget to stop by Monday to share your great reads with us!

Recommend Monday!

Hi Everyone!

Was last week fabulous for you? I know mine was and I'm still smiling!

How was your weekend? Did you have a glorious Easter? Hunt eggs? I spent yesterday with my family and it was so much fun. Lots of laughter and too much food. My kind of lovely.

How about you? Did you read anything wonderful that you want to share with everyone?

As for me, I kind of cheated. On Thursday, I received my first copy of LAST CHANCE. It's absolutely gorgeous! And you guessed it--I read it again! And you know what? I loved it again! Yay!

So I'm recommending that in 22 days, you should grab a copy of LAST CHANCE. *snort* Okay, no throwing tomatoes at the author. Okay?

Tell us what fabulous books you read last week. And also, since this week has some great new releases, tell us what you're most looking forward to grabbing a copy of and reading.

I'm going to be writing most of the week. SWEET REVENGE is due in less than three months. Wow! This year has flown by! I've got to get cracking.

Hope you all have a wonderful week and I'm looking forward to hearing what you're recommending, what you're reading and anything else you want to share.

Have a marvelous Monday!

Fabulous Friday

Hey Everyone-

Did you have a good week? Get a lot of things accomplished? Read anything awesome? Get to absorb the warm sunshine and inhale the fragrant blooms of Spring?

I have to admit that my week has been absolutely amazing! Monday, I sold Thai rights to NO CHANCE, SECOND CHANCE and LAST CHANCE. Wednesday, I found out that SECOND CHANCE made the New York Times Bestselling extended list. And yesterday, two copies of LAST CHANCE were delivered to my door. Oh my, they're beautiful!

I feel as though I've won the lottery of good fortune, but have to give the credit to you all. Without readers buying SECOND CHANCE, making the NYT list would not have been possible. So thank you all so much for not only buying SECOND CHANCE but for telling others about my books. I've always said that I have the kindest and SWEETest readers in the world. And that has been proven over and over again.

I'm at the brink of starting a major writing event. SWEET REVENGE is due July 1 and I've allowed the excitement of new releases to distract me. Time to buckle down and learn more about Dylan Savage and the woman who will win his heart. I'm very excited about this book for a lot of different reasons and I can't wait to share Dylan's story with you.

What about you? What are your plans for the weekend? Do you plan a large Easter celebration? When we lived in Indiana, my husband would have an egg hunt for the neighborhood children. He loved doing that but since moving here, we never got back into the event. Most of the kids around here are older, so I may have to hide eggs just for him. He's definitely a kid at heart!

If you get the CHANCE, check in and tell us what you're up to this weekend and what you're reading. And don't forget to come back on Monday and tell us what fabulous books you want to recommend!

Have a fabulous day, a glorious weekend, and a Happy Easter!
