Recommend Monday!

Good Monday All!

For those of us in the United States, Happy Memorial Day! And to the men and women who have served in the Armed Forces thank you for your service! For those who are serving now, thank you for your service! May God bless you and your efforts and bring you home safely!

So what's everyone doing today? Any BBQs or picnics planned? Did you do anything fabulously fun over the weekend? If so, share! Since I'm on deadline, I'm living vicariously through others, so anything exciting that's happened, I'd love to hear about.

I'm in the midst of finishing up the first draft of SWEET REVENGE. I do have to say that I love these characters. I know...I know, after all the difficulty they've given me, you're surprised. However, lately they've been extremely cooperative (I think they sense a happy ending ahead) and even the Quiet Man himself did something so SWEET the other day, he made me cry. LOL. Imagine that!

I'll be offline most of the day writing but will check back in from time to time. And later on this week, I'll be giving away some books. I found some extras I didn't remember having, so if there's one in particular you've been wanting, stay tuned--you might get the CHANCE to snag it!

Okay, that's it for me. What about your great reads last week? What fabulous book(s) are you dying to recommend to us?

Have a fabulous day everyone!

Recommend Monday!

Good Monday All!

Was your weekend fabulous? Did you do anything fun and exciting you want to share with us?

My weekend was quite full and fun. I managed to get some major writing in as well as celebrate my sweetheart's birthday. And yesterday, I did something I haven't done in a while--I watched an entire movie! My Sister's Keeper was on HBO and since a friend of mine had told me how it ended, I told myself it wouldn't be as emotional and heart-wrenching. Silly me! I bawled like a baby, of course. Those who know me won't be surprised. However, I ended up being glad I watched it because I actually enjoyed the movie and tears are cathartic. Of course, it took about four hours for my eyes to stop stinging, which made writing more difficult, but you take the bitter with the SWEET. Right? (:

SWEET REVENGE is coming along much better now. I think the "Quiet Man" is finally seeing that if he'll just cooperate, there's a long and bright future ahead for him with the woman he adores. Yay for Dylan!

I continue to get wonderful emails from readers who have enjoyed LAST CHANCE and from several who waited until the entire CHANCE trilogy was out so they could read them back to back. Thank you all. Reading the emails definitely inspires me to write more books!

And, just as a small plug, all CHANCE books are on sale and ready to be devoured by readers. Hope you enjoy!

So what fabulous book(s) did you read last week that you want the world to know about? I know several good ones came out last week and tomorrow is another big release day. Which ones are you dying to get your hands on? Share those too!

I'll be off-line most of the week to finish up the first draft of SWEET REVENGE. However, I will drop in and chat from time to time, so be sure to stop by and say hi!

Oh, and one extra plug. This is the last week of Brenda Novak's fabulous Auction to Benefit Diabetes's Research. If you haven't had a CHANCE to check it out, I urge you to do so. So many fabulous items to be had, whether you're a writer, reader or just want something fantastic. It's a great opportunity to help a very worthwhile cause too. Here's the link: http://brendanovak.auctionanything.com/

Hope you'll go by and check out the incredible array of awesome items. I'm donating all six of the Last Chance Rescue books, signed and personalized, to the winning bidder. Here's the link:

Okay, that's it for me. Your turn! Tell us what fab book we need to be reading and have a wonderful week!

Good Monday Everyone!

How was your weekend? Did you do anything fabulously fun? Share with us!

My weekend was busier than usual. I attended the Heart of Dixie Readers Luncheon on Saturday and had a wonderful time. Being around readers and writers of romance is always so uplifting. The keynote speaker, the fabulous Julia London, gave an entertaining and down to earth speech on being an author. Very enlightening!

My mom, aunts and one of my sisters drove two hours to attend the luncheon with me. We had so much fun! I am so incredibly blessed to have such a supportive family. And they love to read romance...so I'm doubly blessed!

Last night's LAST CHANCE discussion was lots of fun! There were oodles of questions and good discussion and they even got me to give up some secrets on the next trilogy. Oops! Hope all that attended enjoyed it as much as I did.

The next few weeks are going to be very busy for me. The deadline for SWEET REVENGE looms ever closer. The Quiet Man aka Dylan Savage better be ready to give up all of his secrets if I'm going to get this book in on time!

Unfortunately that also means I won't be around very much to chat. I'll miss everyone but with a deadline just six weeks away and a stubborn man for a hero, I have to concentrate all of my energies on the book. (Note to self: find an easy-going hero for my next project) Sigh...Only problem with that is I love stubborn, over-protective, arrogant heroes! So what's a writer to do?

Okay, enough about my world of frustrating characters. What about you? Did you read anything stupendous that you want the world to know about? What books are you recommending this week?

Hope everyone has a week filled with good weather, bountiful pleasures and great books!

Fabulous Friday

Happy Friday All-

Hope you've had a good week and found some fantastic books you can't wait to share with us on Recommend Monday!

It's been a good week for SWEET REVENGE. I think Dylan is finally resigned to giving up his secrets. However, you'll hear no bragging from me. The man could close up like a clam at any moment!

Just a reminder that the LAST CHANCE discussion will take place Sunday, May 16. We've set the time at 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM (CST). Hope you have your questions and comments ready. Lucas and McKenna are eager to talk! And for those not on the loop, the chat is on my Yahoo group, so if you'd like to be involved, be sure to send your email address to christy@christyreece.com and I'll send you an invitation to join.

Thanks again to those who have sent such wonderful emails or written fabulous reviews of LAST CHANCE! I sincerely appreciate your kindness and am thrilled you've enjoyed McKenna and Lucas's story.

Tomorrow, I'm headed to Huntsville for the Heart of Dixie Readers Luncheon at the Von Braun Center. After the luncheon, I'll be signing books, along with several other authors. So if you're in the area, be sure to stop by and say hi!

Hope everyone has a most excellent weekend. Looking forward to the LAST CHANCE chat on Sunday. And be sure to come back Monday to share your great reads with us!

Recommend Monday!

Good Monday All!

Did you have a good weekend? Mine was excellent. I spent some one-on-one time with my strong, silent hero aka Dylan Savage. The man is finally opening up! And yesterday, I spent the day with my mom. We had so much fun; the weather was glorious! Who knew it could be sunny and 70 this time of year in Alabama?

No reading for me last week. I did start a couple of books but when I'm in writing mode, it sometimes takes me weeks to finish. But hopefully I'll have some recommendations for you by the end of the month.

Sunday, May 16, is the day we've set for the LAST CHANCE discussion. If you'd like to be on the Yahoo loop to participate, send your email addy to christy@christyreece.com and I'll send you an invitation. Beware, spoilers are involved and lots of fun too!

How was your reading week last week? Did you read anything absolutely fabulous you want the world to know about? Share with us!

I'll be offline most of the week. Deadline is looming on SWEET REVENGE, so I need to buckle down and get some major writing done.

If you're in the Huntsville, Alabama area on Saturday, May 15, I'll be at the Heart of Dixie Readers Luncheon at the Von Braun Center. After the luncheon, I'll be one of several authors signings, so come by and say hi if you get the CHANCE!

Now tell us what we should be reading!

Have a marvelous Monday everyone!

Hi All-

Is it sunny in your world? It's blazingly beautiful here. Going up to 90 today. Wow! It's iced tea and lemonade weather. Yay!

I just wanted to drop in and say hi before I'm officially offline for a few days. I'm going to spend some quality time with my strong, silent hero and his ladylove. Hoping to get some major writing done!

Also, I still have a blog up at the Romantic Times website. It doesn't say it yet, but I will be giving away two copies of LAST CHANCE. Would love to have you come by and comment on your most romantic read.

Anniversary Prizes

Hey All-

Thanks so much for the kind comments about the first year anniversary of RESCUE ME's publication and creation of Last Chance Rescue. I loved reading which book you read first, which couple, scene or line hit a particular note with you and how you first learned about Last Chance Rescue books.

As I've said so many times before and I'm sure will say many times in the future, one of the very best things about being a published author is hearing from readers. You all make the hard work so much much worthwhile and fun. And if you'll notice in the acknowledgments of the CHANCE books, you're all mentioned!

Congratulations to the anniversary prize winners:

3rd prize winner of a $20 Books-A-Million gift card: Kelseya

2nd prize winner of a $25 Barnes & Noble gift card: Linda

1st prize winner of a $100 Amazon gift card: Ronlyn

Winners, email your mailing address to: christy@christyreece.com. I'll get your prize out to you this week.

Thanks again, everyone, for your SWEET comments. Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Recommend Monday!

Good Monday All!

Did you have a fabulous weekend? Do anything special? I know many of you had to dodge bad weather and work to stay dry. Hope everyone is safe! The weather has been wonkey lately, hasn't it? (:

My week and weekend were very productive. Dylan Savage aka The Quiet Man is finally opening up. We're getting along much better now and I sincerely hope that continues. He has such an interesting background...not one I've encountered before. Hmmm.

Before we get started on Recommend Monday, I wanted to once again thank those who have sent me emails and messages about LAST CHANCE. I'm so glad people are loving McKenna and Lucas's story and sincerely appreciate you letting me know.

Also, don't forget that today's the last day to leave a comment on the LCR anniversary blog. Tomorrow, I'll give away a special anniversary gift to one random commenter. Hubby will pick the number for me. Thank you all so much for the wonderful remarks about LCR books. I love seeing what particular book, couple, scene or line hit a note with you. We're all so different, aren't we? SWEET!

Okay, tell us what you enjoyed last week that you want the world to know about. Also, what are you planning to buy soon? Is there a soon to be released book you're dying to read? Tell us about it!

Have a marvelous Monday everyone! See you tomorrow for the LCR giveaway!
