Another Chance to Chat

Hey All. Thanks for visiting with me over at Barnes and Noble today. I'll be there all evening, so feel free to drop in anytime.

Tonight, from 7:00 - 8:30 (CST), I'm doing a blog talk radio spot with blog host Phoebe Jordan. You can click on and listen to the interview and there's a number to call if you'd like to chat with me. How cool is that!

Here's the link:

Would love to hear from you if you get the CHANCE!

It was so great to hear your voice Christy. Hard to believe this soft spoken Southern girl writes such kick*** books.

LOL.

Thank you so much for coming by and chatting! It was a thrill for me to talk to you!

Oklanannie, thank you for chatting with me! It was so exciting to talk to you!

LOL. Soft spoken southern girl? Too funny. My husband and mom would definitely disagree. (:

Kara, thanks for coming by and listening and asking questions!

You were thrilled? I was so excited
watching the clock. I wanted to be your first caller. LOL as soon as I said Canada you knew it was me.

I wouldn't have missed it for anything. Enjoyed hearing that southern voice of yours and catching each little tidbit of info on the new books that you release with each blog.

By the way, "Heartbreaker" with Nick and Laurent is my favorite Garwood book!

Mary G - I got to hear most of your conversation with Christy so I now have a voice for your posts.

I don't know about Reece's Peece's. Kara called us Last Chance Chicks on the radio blog.
LCC for LCR.

Mary, whenever I think of Canada, I think of you. (:

Thank you for calling in. That meant a lot to me. Really.

Mary G. my thoughts exactly! I listened to the interview, but for some reason I had trouble registering. But pretty much all my questions were answered. It was nice to hear Christy's voice and yours as well.

Mary G said...

Me too Annie I loved hearing your voice. You sound a bit Southern too. Where are you from again?

Christy Reece said...

Hey Oklanannie, I feel like I've talked so much about this upcoming trilogy but now that I think about, there's lots I haven't shared. LOL. So glad the secrets are finally coming out.

You're a sweetheart for calling in! Thank you!

Hi Alexandra
I had trouble signing in too. I signed in about an hour early so I would be ready.

Born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma!

By the way, come visit me and we'll play some tennis! Do you play doubles? I have a great tennis partner that I've played with for over 10 years. I'm now teaching my grandson and at 3-1/2 he's doing pretty well for a little tyke.

How close are you to Vancouver, Mary? I've loved watching the Olympics! I'm addicted.

Christy Reece said...

Hey, Alexandra! Thanks so much for listening. Wished I could have talked with you. Hopefully next time!

Kara C said...

You have a southern accent, Christy? LOL
from one Southern to another.

Alexandra said...

Mary G. you were very smart to register early. I'll remember that for next time. Lol.

Oklanannie,
I take my younger son to the city park to play tennis. Well, actually we act like we're playing tennis. I get more exercise chasing after the balls and picking them up than anything else. We have fun though!

Okla - duh!!
I would love to meet you & play. I play doubles. I entered the singles tournament at our club a few years ago. I was twice as old as everyone else. I held my own & proud of it. I had something to prove to myself only. Doesn't mean I'll try again. Of course I could have won if I didn't aim for the alleys out of habit. Every darn ball was "just" out.

oklanannie said...

Kara - are you in Arkansas? If not, where are you located?

Mary G said...

BTW I live in a suburb of Toronto, Ontario - the other side of the country. But when a Canadian isn't going to win, I'm rooting for the Americans. Hubby was born in Chicago.

oklanannie said...

Me, too! Did you catch the women's downhill skiing? So close. I'm thrilled Lindsey Vonn got her gold. I think she's finished - she was in severe pain today and of course, she fell and didn't complete the Super G.

Mary G said...

No problem Christy. I'll send you my long distance bill LOL. I was so excited to hear your voice - just made my day, week, month. I'll wait on the year thing lol.

I think I froze & didn't know waht to say. That's unusual.

Mary G said...

No I missed Lindsay. I'm loving the snowboarding stuff.

oklanannie said...

I hate hearing myself - I stumble and falter with my words. Christy will probably never make it to a book signing in Oklahoma BUT if I'm lucky, she might get as close as Dallas and I'll make that trip for sure! Next best thing was talking to her on the telephone.

Kara C said...

Yep, Arkie born and raised.

oklanannie said...

Are you northern or southern Arkansas? I'm betting Southern. I have a friend in Little Rock. Am I getting closer?

oklanannie said...

I'm off to read for awhile. Just got "Moonlight Road" by Robyn Carr.
And I would like to catch some of the men's figure skating, too.

What do you bet Christy has slipped away to catch an episode of Criminal Minds???

Good night everyone. Enjoyed the fun with you.

Mary G said...

Annie you sounded sweet & not flustered at all.

Christy Reece said...

Mary and Anne, I thought you both sounded wonderful and not hesitant at all. And Anne, I didn't notice the accent. (:

Kara, I'll bet when we finally get to talk, I won't notice you have one either. LOL. I actually didn't know I had an accent until I moved to Indiana and people told me I did. What a surprise!
