Recommend Monday!

Good Monday Everyone!

Hope you had a wonderful week and weekend. There are so many awesome books out there right now, I can't wait to hear what you're reading and recommending.

Last week, Dylan, Jamie and I had several break-through moments. Some tears were shed, some snarly words were hurled and, oh yeah, more than one or two bone-melting, heart-stopping kisses were exchanged. This week promises to be even more exciting. A major turning point, more tears and harsh words and, what the heck, someone may either get kissed or killed too. There's no telling what's going to happen with these two!

Thanks for all the lovely emails last week. I love hearing how much readers are looking forward to the SWEET books and that the other LCR books are still being purchased and enjoyed. Makes my little 'ol writer's heart just melt! And thank you all so much for the suggestions on my website. The changes will take a few weeks, but I think you'll like them. Stay tuned!

No covers to share yet. I did get a proof delivered the other day of SWEET JUSTICE. It's looking wonderful. In fact, I already have plans to frame it...it's just so pretty. Can't wait until I can share the final product with you.

Copy edits of SWEET JUSTICE will be coming some time soon. As soon as I finish them up, I'll post an excerpt for you.

I started something fun and different over on my Facebook Readers' Page called Storytime Saturday. If you like to write in one snippet sentences or ever wanted to play around with writing, come click 'Like' on the link below and play. At the end of the month, I'm giving away a $25 Amazon gift card to one random commenter. Here's the link: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Christy-Reece/136065869748798

Will any of you be at the Romantic Times Convention in Los Angles in April? This will be my first time attending and I'm really looking forward to it. I'll be on a panel with fabulous authors Monica McCarty, Tessa Dare, Zoe Archer and a debut historical author from Ballantine, Stefanie Sloan. We'll be talking about writing and marketing the back-to-back trilogy. If you're going to RT, I hope you'll come to the workshop or stop by and say hi at the signing.

Also, I'm headed to New York in June for the RWA convention where I'll be doing the same panel/workshop. If you're attending, hope you'll take a moment and say hey!

Okay, I'm headed back to the WV mountains and the sad, dark moments that are about to take place for Jamie and Dylan. Wish us luck!

Have a great week everyone! And don't forget to tell us what we should be reading this week!

Happy Monday everyone...Good luck in the mountains with Jamie and Dylan this week Christy.

I will not be in LA or in NY, I have decided to go to Lori Foster's event in Cincinnati in June (my birthday weekend, yay 29 again!!). Have fun at your conventions.

Last week I had some good reads. I am still reading older stuff so they may be things you guys have read already, but still worth mentioning.

The Pretender by Celeste Bradley, soooo good. A historical but I loved it anyway. I describe it as a romantic suspense in the 1800's. Great book. Great recommend from Ronlyn!!!

Everyone Loves a Hero by Marie Force...I love Cole, this is a must read!!!!

Kiss & Tell by Cherry Adair, a book in the TFLAC series, really liked this one.

Temptation Ridge by Robyn Carr...still working my way through the VR series, sooo good.

I am currently reading a new to me author Lindsay McKenna, so far so good.

Happy Monday Morning!
Dylan and Jamie have certainly not had an easy road of it, but I have faith that they will reach their HEA (without our lovely author deciding to off them all.)
I read several books this week, but I know I'm not remembering them all.
Jaci Burton's Perfect Play.
Cynthia Eden's Deadly Heat
KMM's Shadowfever (OMG!!! Ok, that's all I'll say about that.) Wait, no it's not. I'm actually re-reading Shadowfever right away because I know I missed so much the first time through. I plan to read it a bit more slowly and spend the week savoring the entire thing.

RT is on my radar, but I don't think I'm going to be able to swing it this year, although I would LOVE to go. I haven't made up my mind for sure yet.

Hi Everyone!

I did some re-reading so only two new books to report this week. I read Against the Fire by Kat Martin...I'm loving those Raines brothers. I also read Smart and Sexy by Jill Shalvis...its been in my TBR pile for a while. I've already read the 2nd and 3rd books in the series...I'm not sure how I managed to skip the first one. Oopsie!

Have a good week everyone!

How cool that the sweet books and covers are coming along.

I wish I was going to those conventions. I would love to meet you.

I finished & loved Deadly Heat by Cynthia Eden.

I started reading One Scream Away by Kate Brady but had to put it down because I got so creeped out(even in the daytime LOL).
Excellent writing so I will go back to it.

I thought I'd switch to something lighter. Just in the middle of the
4th Wallflower book by Lisa Kleypas. I read the first three this week. Loved all of them & this one too.

Hi Christy, hi all,
I hope everyone is ok after the monster blizzard in the U.S.. It was in the news here and I really was worried about you all.

Last week I read "Lady be good" by SEP and enjoyed it very much. I also started "Drawn in blood" by Andrea Kane - I liked the first one with Sloane and Derek ,"Twisted", but I couldn´t get into the story so I put it aside for a while .
I am waiting for my latest amazon order to be delivered ( " Everyone loves a hero" - my first book by Marie Force and I am looking forward to it - and more books of SEP.)
Meanwhile I an doing some rereads of favourite books .

Have a nice week everyone and stay warm and safe.

Hi Christy!
I wish I was starting the week with Jamie & Dylan--even though the moments are going to be dark.

I just started Cherry Adair's "Undertow" which is the start of a new trilogy. Not sure anything can beat my favorite of hers, "Kiss & Tell" along with the rest of the T-flac series.

So looking forward to your new releases!

Yay! I am so glad to hear that the Sweet series is going so well.

I just finished Animal Magentism by Jill Shalvis...OMG, this book was so good and fun! I gave it an A+ on my review blog...will definitely be a top 10 - 2011 contender!!!

Oh a trip to LA or NY sound marvelous right about now!
Despite the craziness that is my life, I did finish Nora Roberts' Bride Quartet this week as well as Mary Burton's Merciless. My teenager just found another way to spend my money, so it's a good thing I have a closet (and Kindle) full of books to read. It may be a while before I get a new one!
I'd wish for D&J to behave, but I'm not sure that's in either of their natures.

Hi Christy

I have a nice size tbr pile of books, but I have only been rereading my fave writers books lately...Reece, Howard, Feehan, Silver, Leigh, Laurenston, Gerard, Butcher, Brant, etc.

Oh well, it's all good! :)

I helped a friend move---up & down three flights of stairs! Thank goodness we finished a week before the snow and ice started.

He everyone! It is snowing again here in Wyoming I am beginning to think I live a a giant "cold" marshmallow. But it's all good. Thankfully I am a winter person.

I have started Celeste Bradley's Liar Club series. I read The Pretender last week. I love it! I've started the second one so far so good!
I've taken on a little side project that is taking away from my reading time, but it is worth it. :)
I hope everyone is staying nice and warm!
Christy good luck in the WV mountains. It is beautiful there, but I wouldn't want Dylan and Jamie out to get me there... Okay well if Jamie would LOAN Dylan out then I could handle that but.... Oh never mind. lol
Have a great week everyone!!

Kris, you're already super interesting! I do hope you get some time to read a great book soon!

Hope, I wish so much that I could go to Lori's event in Cincinnati. I've heard so many wonderful things about it. Hopefully next year!

Must get The Pretender! Sounds fabulous. Haven't read Celeste Bradley in years, need to change that!

Ronlyn, LOL I promise not to kill off all the characters in SWEET REVENGE...at least not the good ones! And let me know if you decide to go to RT. We'll go somewhere for a D-lish, my treat!

Allison, is Against the Fire the second book in Kat Martin's new trilogy? Sounds like people are really enjoying this new series.

Mary, I wish you were going! I would love to meet you too! Are you going to Cincinnati?

Elke, isn't it fun knowing you've got great books coming your way? Whenever I order books, I get so excited every time I see a delivery truck pass by the house. It's like Christmas all over again. (:

LOL Christy-Leigh, starting the week with Dylan and Jamie has its good and bad points. Just depends on what these two have planned for me. This week, so far, they're behaving. Hopefully that'll continue.

Kiss and Tell is fabulous--my favorite of the T-Flac books. And thank you--so glad you're looking forward to the SWEET books!

Christi, I've heard great things about Shalvis's Animal Magnetism. Will probably be my next book store purchase. Sounds so good!

Kara, with a closet and Kindle full of books hopefully you can find something you like. So many times I've put off reading a book for one reason or another and then when I do, I ask myself why I waited so long. Hope that happens for you! If not, let me know. Bet I've got more than a few in my closet. (:

So far, Jamie and Dylan have been cooperative this week. Fingers crossed that continues!

Linda, thank you for including me on that awesome list! Hope you enjoyed the rereads! And wow, three flights of stairs? You are definitely a good friend!

Crystal, lol on the giant marshmallow. So glad you are a winter person! And I think there were a couple of times Jamie would have been more than happy to loan you Dylan. He's not exactly the most agreeable man to be around. Though it does help that he's incredibly sexy. (:

Jackie, you're right! Just about six more months for SWEET JUSTICE. Yay!

And I need to grab Everybody Loves a Hero before they're all gone. Sounds like Marie has done it again with another fabulous book!

Have a great rest of the week everyone! I'm offline until the weekend. Stay warm and safe. See you back here for next Monday's recommends!

Thanks to a "fabulous friend" I received a box full of books the day before the blizzard blew in 18 inches of snow. A week of reading has been lots of fun. At this moment it is snowing again and the forecast is for another 6-12 inches. I'm glad I've got books and books and books to be read.

Among the reads this past week:
Patricia Grasso's "Pleasuring the Prince." There are two more books in this series and I definitely will be tracking them down. Never read this author before but like her historical writing style.

"Wildflower Bride" by Mary Connealy. Really cute, sweet and fun read by another new-to-me author.

And another "Red,White & Blue" by Laura Hayden which is an ongoing series so I've got to look for the other books. Female President and mystery!!

I also read Laura Moore's "Believe In Me." Great read in her Rosewood Trilogy. Looking forward to the final installment next year.

And I was lucky to get an arc from a friend of Julie James's new book to be released in March, "A Lot Like Love" which is outstanding and such a fun book to read. It's her best yet in my opinion. Don't miss it!!

Have a great week! I'm going back to the snuggly, hot chocolate and books!!! I may get to drive again in May!!! This is the most snow Oklahoma has had since the 1930s.

Wow, Anne, sounds like your weather is definitely conducive to staying in and reading. I am so anxious for warm weather!

Hope you enjoy the books in your prize package. Sorry it took so long to get to you!

I'm putting Julie James on my must read list. Have heard so many great things about this author.

Stay warm!
