SWEET Giveaway Day Twenty-two

Happy Wednesday All!

Thanks to everyone who stopped by yesterday and named their favorite new television show or returning favorite. I'm going to be DVRing a whole lot more in the next few days!

Congrats to Cathy M. and Amy for winning a signed copy of SWEET REVENGE! Cathy and Amy, please email your mailing info to christy@christyreece.com.

Since we had such a good response on the television theme yesterday, I thought we'd stay with it today, with a turn back in time. When I was growing up, Saturday morning was cartoon time. Seems like these days, you can find cartoons 24-7, especially since there are channels who cater only to cartoons. But for me, it was Saturday morning and I had several favorites: Casper the Friendly Ghost, Johnny Quest and Scooby-Doo were the ones I remember watching the most.

What about you? What was your favorite cartoon? And if you didn't have a favorite cartoon, did you have a favorite comic book character?

Comment for a chance to win a signed copy of a wonderfully lush looking historical romance: A Tale of Two Lovers by Maya Rodale.

I'll collect comments today and announce the winner tomorrow.

Have a fabulous day everyone!

Oh, I forgot about The Jetsons! I loved them too! In fact, I think I still remember part of the theme song:

Meet George Jetson, his dog Astro, his son Elroy, daughter Judy; Jane, his wife.

Hmm. Did I name them right? (:

LOL I'm remembering all these other wonderful ones now. I loved Josie and the Pussycats. I can hear their theme song in my head but don't remember the words. Loved the Archies, too!

I had so many I don't know where to begin. There was Jem and the Holograms, she-ra, he-man, GI Joe, x-men, Transformers and the animanicas . They just don't make cartoons like they used to.

Growing up I didn't watch much TV. I lived on a farm and was outside more than anything, but on those dreadful rainy days I remember watching Rainbow Brite. I loved her horse.

I remember coming home and watching Rugrats, Care Bears, Sailor Moon and the Magic School Bus. They were fun and educational. As for cartoons, one of my earliest reads were the Archie comies. I'm glad to see them still around today.

Flintstones, Archies, and the Jetsons is what I remember and these may have been my son cartoons. I do remember watching cartoons on Sat. but don't remember which ones. We didn't have a tv for a while and then we got a black and white set and thought it was awesome.

I would have to say Looney Tunes was my favorite! I loved the characters especially Daffy, Bugs and the alien with the broom on his head! I even remember my favorite episode...it's the one where Daffy is trying to avoid the "little man from the draft board." HILARIOUS!
