Recommend Monday and Happy Halloween!

Good Monday All!

Did you have a fun-filled weekend? Go to any Halloween parties? I haven't been to a Halloween party in years but that used to be a tradition for hubby and me. It would usually take me about ten minutes to get ready; hubby could take hours. I always went for comfort and he liked to go for the squeals and chills. Tonight we're expecting all sorts of little ghouls and cute goblins to come by. Now, our Halloween tradition is for me to corral the fur kids and keep them occupied while hubby doles out the candy. Do you have any fun Halloween traditions or stories?

No new recommendations from me this week. I spent most of last week writing but I'm getting the yen to do some major reading and rereading. Here's what I have planned: Ain't She Sweet by Susan Elizabeth Phillips, Snapped by Laura Griffin, After the Night by Linda Howard, Open Season by Linda Howard, If You Hear Her by Shiloh Walker, Hide From Evil by Jamie Alden and...(This is your cue to make a recommendation!)

So what should I read along with these fabulous books? And what other great books are you recommending this week?

Hope everyone has a marvelous Monday and if you or your kiddies are out and about tonight, have fun and stay safe!

I just finished a great book by Cindy Gerard called "With No Remorse"

Thanks, Gail. I have that one on my TBR pile, but since I'm so behind on the series, I'm hesitant to start it. Should I read the others first?

I have laughed my hubby awake two nights in arow ready the 1st to books in Jill Shallvis' Lucky Harbor Series. I can't wait for Cloe's story. BUT If you grab "Christmas In Lucky Harbor" then you will get the 1st two books for the price of one.

I also had a FUN time with Victoria Dahl's Real Men Will.

Happy Halloween everyone! It's my favorite holiday!

Christy, I really think you should start from the beginning. I had bought all of her books and had decided to start with Show No Mercy, since it's the first in the series. I was so darn confused that I had to go on goodreads and get some help. I actually thought some parts were missing in the book and I got a bad copy. I found out others had the same problem I did. I also found out it's actually a spin off series and if you didn't read the last book in her other series then you will be confused. I have been wanting to read her new book but I refuse to until I read the rest of the books. Her books are suppose to be stand alone so may not have a problem with it.

I started Trial by Fire by Jo Davis last week. It was a little slow to start out but around 90 pages or so it picked up. I haven't finished it yet because I got side tracked with Robyn Carr's Angel's Peak. I am loving it!

Hey Christy! I wish I lived close enough for my kiddos to visit your hubby while he passes out candy. I know you've said how much he enjoys halloween.
Last week I was finally able to get some reading done. :) I read
Notorious Pleasures and Scandalous Desires by Elizabeth Hoyt. I'm not sure how I got behind in this series, but Anne brought it to my attention and I quickly corrected the problem. I enjoyed both of them but Scandalous Desires was my absolute favorite!! One of the best historicals I've read in a while.
I also read Seduction of a Highland Lass by Maya Banks. I really enjoyed it as well.
Well I have a little pirate and tinker bell tonight to take trick or treating. Luckily most of the 10 inches of snow we got last week has melted (more is on it's way the last I heard). Hope everyone has a fabulous night!!

Hi Christy, hi All,
Happy Halloween!
I had a busy weekend - doing
advanced training for my job. Unfortunately I had to get up at 5 a.m. on saturday morning to get there in time - grr.

I read some of Kylie Brants older books last week and enjoyed them. I just finished Alias Smith and Jones and I higly recomend it. The banter between Ana and Jones was great and I already downloaded the next books Truth or Lies and Dangerous Deceptions on my kindle.

But next on my reading list is Jami Aldens Hide from evil which was delivered today.

Christy your reading list looks fabulous - I have to look for Shiloh Walker. She is a new to me author.

Have a nice week everyone!

I have a few to add to your list Christy: Deadly Pursuit and Deadly Desire by Ann Christopher- both really good. Also Real men will by Victoria Dahl and Long, lean and lethal by Lorie O'clare. Started reading In bed with a highlander last night and I am really enjoying it so far. I agree with Taryn you need to start from the beginning. I did and even then I was a little confused in places, I think because I didn't read them back to back and my memory is terrible.

Hi all, and Happy Halloween!
So I spent the day at school with 500 under 11s who are a tad bit excited about tonight. ;-)
I am reading IF YOU HEAR HER right now and it is really good. It's a bit different than the typical RS, which is great. If the goblins don't stay out too late tonight, I just might get it finished.
Christy, I picked up a copy of DEVIL'S BRIDE. See? I follow directions real good! LOL!

I must say I love reading this on Mondays and getting ideas for new books to read!! This past weekend I read The Christmas Wedding by James Patterson AND 1105 Yakima Street by Debbie Macomber. During the week I only had time to read 1225 Christmas Tree Lane by Debbie Macomber. And I today I started Stealing Home by Sherryl Woods.

Fabulous recommendations everyone! Thanks so much. I'm going to the bookstore today and several of these are on my 'must buy' list!

Special note to Ronlyn: I'm so glad you enjoyed the Emerald City Writers Conference. I saw several Tweets about it and it looked like you guys were having a blast. Will definitely try to do that next year!

And KC, I read your post the wrong way the first time--started reading in bed with a highlander. My first thought was, why was she reading! (:

Have a great Tuesday all!
