An Early Christmas Present

Hi Everyone-

Just wanted to share some exciting news. I just accepted an offer from Ballantine for another Last Chance Rescue trilogy!

No release dates set yet, but I would anticipate they would come out sometime in 2011.

The books aren't written, but I plan to write about three characters that you'll meet in the 2010 trilogy. I started one yesterday and am already loving it!

Couldn't wait to tell you guys. Hope everyone is having a terrific day!

Looking forward to our Monday chat!

I just knew when I finished your first marvelous book, "Rescue Me" that you were the real thing! Romantic suspense doesn't get any better and every book thereafter has proven that fact!

Like Ida, I'm counting down the days - February can't get here soon enough for me!

HO! HO! HO! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

LOL. Thank you, Ida!

My goodness, you have that much energy after working? Amazing. I just returned from five hours of shopping and now I can barely keep my eyes open. (:

Christy Reece said...

Thank you, Oklanannie! So appreciate the support.

Yes, Santa definitely came early for me and gave me much more than I could have ever asked for.

Christy Reece said...

Thank you, Jennifer! I'm glad you love to read about the LCR group because I sure love writing about them. (:

Christy Reece said...

Thank you so much, Gwen. Keep the faith!

Christy Reece said...

Thank you, Jane. I'm thrilled to be asked to write three more Last Chance Rescue books. I love this organization, as you might expect. (:

Christy,
Shhhh don't tell anyone. I took an hour nap a bit ago. after hard tac till 1:00 am, then getting up at 5:00 am, took my 3 babysitting littleones to work babysitting a
94yr. old got lunch, took them for a little hike in the woods (they think its the woods, but its only 15 trees) and then when they layed down for naps. I made more hard tac and suckers. After supper. I thought i was going to pass out!

Kara C said...

Congratulations! That is really terrific news. I'm so happy for you!
As for the rest of us, it's great to know Last Chance won't be our last chance to spend time with the guys of Last Chance.
When can we start playing with title ideas? :)

Christy Reece said...

Ida, I'm glad you got a nap. It was probably all that sparkling grape juice that got to you. (:

Christy Reece said...

Thanks so much, Kara!

LOL. No titles yet but I have some ideas. I think they'll be fun to play with too. My husband is really rooting for Fat Chance, but I told him No Chance. (:

Ida Brugler said...

Oh Christy, That's to funny! Your poor husband!

Carla Swafford said...

Congratulations, Christy!

By the way, I just noticed how HUGE your name is on the books...that's a very good thing!!!! LOL!

Merry Christmas.

Christy Reece said...

Thanks so much, Carla! That's so funny about my name. My mom thinks it's too big. (:

Merry Christmas to you too!

Kim F. said...

Congratulations Christy! I can barely stand the wait for the next trilogy and now you've got me on pins and needles for the next one!I mean it's fantastic but I don't know if I can survive all this waiting!LOL
All kidding aside it couldn't have happened to a more fab writer!MUAHH!!

P.S. The wait really is going KILL me!

Christy Reece said...

Kim, thank you! I'm thrilled to be asked to write more and I'm so looking forward to getting to know more LCR characters and telling their stories.

Only 67 days to go till NO CHANCE releases. With the holidays and then Valentines, the time will fly. (:

Mary G said...

Nice try Christy. Unless there's a time warp its 67 days wahhhhh. Not good for those of us who like instant gratification LOL. I guess you're worth waiting for.

Christy Reece said...

But Mary, now it's only 66. See, we're getting there!

So glad you guys are anxious to read it!

Ida Brugler said...

66 days now! lets see hummmm.
I was going to change that into hours but Na, I do not want anyone hunting me down!

Mary G said...

LOL Ida
I'll be so happy when it's just hours. I think 72 hours is the most I can handle counting down, so that's 63 days & 72 hours LOL.
A couple of months give or take.

Ida Brugler said...

Mary, Its a good thing Christy does not have a count down counter on her site. Everyone would be hypnotized sitting at thier computers. LOL

Mary G said...

It's funny you say that. My friend Lea (Closetwriter blog) does widgets for authors. On one hand when they say 102 days it's like OMG. When the countdown counter says 27 days or so you can start to get really excited. Although that's relative since we are already excited here. Christy is good at all foreplay LOL.

Ida Brugler said...

LOL Mary,
That she is!

Christy Reece said...

Oh, you guys make me blush! (:

Look forward to chatting with everyone tomorrow!
