Recommend Monday!

Good Monday All!

Hope you had a great week and weekend. Did you do anything fun or read anything fabulous? If so, here's your place to brag and chat about it. What about movies? See any good ones? I've heard that Brave is really good. Anyone see it?

My week was filled with a little writing and lots of catch up. I'm still deciding on what I want on the Ella Grace website, so don't forget to let me know what you like in an author's website. Thank you to those who have already given me suggestions.

Speaking of Ella Grace, I do have an official release date for MIDNIGHT SECRETS. It's going to be out a little earlier than I thought, which is fabulous. The new release date is March 26, 2013. That's better than May, right?

This week I'm focusing on writing as many pages as I can for the LCR novella eBook, CHANCES ARE. If you didn't get a chance to read the teaser I posted on the Last Chance Rescue Facebook page, here it is, revealing the identity of the heroine:

Angela leaned forward, her dark, velvet brown eyes searing his. “Will you ever be absolutely sure, Noah? You’ve treated me like family from the moment I walked through LCR doors and I can’t even begin to express how much that means to me. But it comes down to this. I’m an LCR employee. And I’m a trained operative. This is an operation I know I can handle. It’s time to let me be what you trained me to be.”

I hope you're excited to see that Angela Delvecchio, LCR's receptionist/researcher, will get her own story. I've received more emails asking for her book than any other LCR character, with the exception of Cole's. I'm teaming her with LCR operative Jake Mallory, a hero in every sense of the word. Can't wait for you to meet them both!

I have a special treat for you this week! One of my favorite people is coming by on Wednesday to chat. The incredible Donna Grant, bestselling author of historical and paranormal romances, will be here! I met Donna a few months ago and was instantly charmed. What a lovely person she is and so talented! I hope you'll make a point of coming by on Wednesday and chatting with her. I know many of you are already fans, so be sure to show her your love. (:

As for recommendations, I'm in the middle of Midnight Rescue by Elle Kennedy. Lots of yummy heroes, strong heroines and daring rescues. Can't wait to finish it!

Also, I finally got to see This Means War with Reese Witherspoon. What fun! Such a cute, funny movie and just what I needed this weekend.

So enough about me. What about you? Movies, books, television shows, vacation plans, fabulous recipes? Share and have fun with it. I'm off to LCR land where Noah, once again, is laying down the law. I'm just hoping Angela listens. (:

Have a fabulous week everyone!

Hi Christy!

YAY! We're finally getting Angela's story :) I agree THIS MEANS WAR is so fun...action for the guys and romance for the ladies

We're getting the outside of our house painted so Saturday was filling with my dogs barking like crazy at the painters. They're back today, but luckily I'm at work so I don't have to listen to the barking :-)

Only one rec this week, yesterday I read About Last Night by Ruthie Knox and really enjoyed it!

Have a great week everyone!

Hi Christy,
I'm working on the Adrienne Giordano series and really loving it. Hope made me move it up and she hasn't steered me wrong yet. This past weekend was recital weekend, so long days and late nights were the status quo for us. It was also super emotional for my daughter, as we will be starting at a new studio next month. It's going to be a big adjustment, but hopefully worth it. I totally want to see Brave, heard it is super cute and that you must stay for the ending after the credits.

Good morning all!

103 degree temps expected here today so I'm running errands this morning and then I'm in for the day to do some reading.

Quiet weekend with a dip in the pool and some strawberry shortcake. I just finished making some chicken salad and some guacamole so I'll have lunch ready when I'm ready.

I finished several books this past week. My very favorite was by a new-to-me author Kahlem Aymes. Her "The Future of Our Past," was recommended here and I'm sorry I can't recall by whom BUT I thank them SO VERY MUCH because it was such an unforgettable love story and I can't wait for the next segment in Aymes's "Remembrance Trilogy." I highly recommend it to all romance lovers.

I also read Laurel McKee's "One Naughty Night" from her "Scandalous St. Claires" trilogy which promises to be a fantastic historical series.

And finally, a new-to-me author's debut, "A Night of Southern Comfort." A solid romantic suspense.

That's it from my part of the country. Happy Reading!

March is definitely better than May! That's great news.

I haven't read the Kennedy book, Christy, but will have to add it to my TBR. I recently read His Witness to Evil by a new to me author named Autumn Jordon and Somebody to Love by Kristan Higgins, and enjoyed them both. Also finished the Fifty Shades trilogy and can say I did it. Don't guess that really counts as a recommend, huh? :-)

Stay cool if you can. It's too dang hot!

Hi Christy, hi Everyone!
Super excited that Angela gets her own story, Christy! Any idea when the story will be released? I am hoping sooner than Midnight Secrets - March 2013 is still sooo far away ( but you are right its better than May).

We spent a relaxed weekend, mostly indoors due to absolut awfull weather. On sunday it rained from dust till dawn and was really chilly - it felt more like fall than the beginning of summer.
And the 27.th of June is aproaching - this day is called "Siebenschläfer" (=sevensleeper) and the saying goes when it is raining on Siebenschläfer it will rain for seven weeks . Lets hope that day will pass without a drop of rain.

Last week I finished Catherine Manns Elite Force trilogy ("Cover Me", "Hot Zone" and "Under Fire")about a team of ( yummi) Pararescuemen and I highly recommend this series.

I also read " The Watcher" by Jo Robertson, a new to me author ( I think Annie recommended it here ) and I will definitely read more of her Bigler County series.

Happy reading, Everyone!

Hi Alison! LOL I know just how you feel on the barking. Listening to barking dogs is my day, everyday. With five of them, it only takes one instigator before the other four jump on the bandwagon. They are an opinionated bunch.

Thanks for the recommend. I've heard good things about Ruthie Knox's books.

Glad you're happy about Angela's story. (:

Hey Kris! Oh, I so need to get this series. I'm going to order today. I've heard such great things about it.

Hope your daughter's transition to the new dance studio goes well. Let us know if you go see Brave and how you liked it.

I just read Midnight Rescue and I do hope we'll see more of Trevor and Isabel in the next book or even better they'll get their own book.

My recommends: Rescue Me by Rachel Gibson- Slow at times but overall good. Deadly Ties by Jaycee Clark, Jacked Up by Erin McCarthy- funny, quick read. Summer Days by Susan Mallery, I had a hard time staring this one, but once I did I really enjoyed it. I decided to do a re-read of Sweet Reward, glad I did. I read this the first time right after I had surgery. Lets just say they must have been some great pain meds! Really glad I re-read it.

I've gotten alot of reading done this week with alot of hits.
I read all the Fifty Shades Trilogy and the third one to me was the best.
I also read these 5star books
Christine Whitehead's "Tell Me When It Hurts"
Cherrie Lynn's "Rock Me" and I am now reading her book "Unleashed" I can't wait for her new one to come out this November.

I Can't wait to meet Angela's Jake.
If you could please and let Awesome know.... We have lost all our marbles. We are now at #5 with new additions kittens Brinkley and Maggie. Brinkley loves Bucky who doesn't know what to do with them.

Hi Anne! Hope you stayed cool today. I was complaining about our 97 degree heat but 103 is just over the top. That's egg frying hot!

Wow, thanks for the recommends. The Kahlem Aymes' book sounds like the kind of read I would love.

Hi Kara! I think you'll like Midnight Rescue. His Witness to Evil sounds good. Will definitely look for that one. And, I, of course, adore Kristan Higgens.

Stay cool there. We've got triple digits coming our way this weekend. Yikes!

Hey Elke! I'm going to try to get CHANCES ARE out by the end of the year. Just depends upon my revisions for the Midnight series and if Jake and Angela start being stubborn.

Hopefully soon I'll be able to share some excerpts for MIDNIGHT SECRETS that'll whet your appetite. (:

Hoping for no rain on June 27 for your Siebenschläfer day! Though we need rain here, having it for 7 weeks straight would be a little too much!

Thanks for the recommends. Happy reading to you, too!

Hi Jane! I'm only about 2/3 of the way through Midnight Rescue but am definitely invested in Trevor and Isabel. So yes, really hope to see a story for them, too.

Christy Reece said...

Hi KC! Thanks for the recommends! And thanks for rereading SWEET REWARD. Hope it was a SWEET read the second time around! And hope you're recovered from your surgery.

Hi Jackie! I enjoyed Fifty Shades Freed too. Have to say I thought the entire trilogy was a delightful surprise. Maybe because I expected to not like it and was surprised by that. I just think James did a great job with the emails. They revealed so much about the characters and their growth through the books. And I loved the subtle humor in them.

LOL Congrats on the new additions. I'll tell Awesome. (For those who don't know, Awesome is my hubby's self proclaimed nickname) He'll be happy to know there's someone out there just as crazy as we are. (:

Good morning all....I am soooo excited that Angela gets her own story. I am really happy she started talking to you Christy, I have a feeling about her...

This past week hasn't been a great book week for me. I haven't read or finished one that I would recommend. I decided to go back to a tried and true series, so I went back to Karen Rose, trying to get caught up on that series.

As for TV, I just finished the 3rd season of the Tudors. I love this show, history, drama, passion...so much fun.

We are getting ready for our big karate trip. Jordan and I will be gone for 12 days, heading first to El Paso then on to Vegas. I sincerely despise packing, so I am not looking forward to packing for 2 weeks.

Have a lovely week everyone!!
