Recommend Monday with a Twist

Hey Everyone!

How was your weekend? Are you excited about the new week? I am! Monday offers so many possibilities for good things to happen! :)

Last week was home project week and though we didn't accomplish everything we set out to do, we are close to being ready for company. My mom's got a BIG birthday coming up in a couple of weeks. She's coming to visit for a few days and we plan to wine and dine her silly. Looking forward to lots of fun times ahead.

This week it's back to NOTHING TO LOSE with Kennedy and Nick. Can't wait to see what they're up to! I also plan to spend some time with Sabrina and Declan in RUNNING ON EMPTY. Last time I checked in with them, something explosive was about to happen! Hope everyone is all right!

Don't forget that my publisher is giving away 50 copies of MIDNIGHT LIES. Only 11 days left to enter. Midnight Lies Goodreads Giveaway

Also, I noticed that Night Owl Reviews is giving away 20 copies. The deadline is August 23, so be sure to hurry over there and enter! Night Owl Reviews Midnight Lies Giveaway

Here's something super fun. On Wednesday I'll be over at the awesome Norah Wilson's site for Workplace Wednesday where I'll be sharing photos of my office, along with a few other things. I'll also be giving away a signed copy of MIDNIGHT SECRETS and a digital copy of CHANCES ARE. As soon as I have the link, I'll pop on and give it to you. Hope to see everyone there.

Okay, last week I issued a challenge. Not only do I want us to share our favorite reads from last week but also give us your top ten, fifteen, twenty, etc. from your TBR list. It'll be a great way to share even more recommends. And if some of them haven't been released yet, no worries. A few of us might not know that a book is coming out so you'll be helping us out.

My recommend this week is The Unwanted Wife by Natasha Anders. It was a very different read for me but a delightful surprise. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

As for my top ten books I'm looking forward to reading soon? Here goes:

Once Burned by Susan Vaughan
Profile of Evil by Alexa Grace
Whiskey Rebellion by Liliana Hart
She Can Tell by Melinda Leigh
Forgotten Sins by Rebecca Zanetti
Falling Into You by Jasinda Wilder
On Dublin Street by Samantha Young
Every Breath She Takes by Norah Wilson
Hidden by Kendra Elliot
Watch Your Back by Karen Rose (releases February 4, 2014)

So that's my 'up next' list. What about you? And what were your favorite reads from last week?

Have a great week everyone!

Christy,

I am almost finished with Maggie Shayne's Gingerbread Man and it is great! It's Romantic Suspense which may be the reason I am enjoying it.

She also has a new Romatic Suspense series coming out the first of which is Sleep with the Lights On, which is being released the same day as Midnight Lies, September 24, 2013.

I read an ARC of Ruthless, Book 6 in the Faces of Evil series by Debra Webb, and it is great! Release date is 9/27/13.

Books that I am looking forward to read are:

Midnight Lies by you 9/24/13;

Crash and Burn (Book One of the Moreno & Hart Mysteries) by Allison Brennan and Laura Griffin 9/2/13;

Ashes, Ashes, They All Down by Lena Diaz 9/10/13;and

She Can Scream by Melinda Leigh 9/17/13.

Christy, you will love She Can Tell and Hidden.

I am a few books behind with Karen Rose but I love her too.

Happy Monday All!!!

I’m getting ready to change my reading spot. Next week I’m heading up to the Amherst Shore, a beautiful beach area along the Bay of Fundy on the Nova Scotia mainland. My cousins have a cottage there and I’m lucky enough to have an open invitation. I can’t wait to relax on the beach!!!!

WOW Christy, you sure picked a tough task this week. I have so many books on my “To Be Read” list that I may never get around to them all!!! But I’ll give it a shot, I’ll even try to be organized about it!!!

My recommends for today are two series' (of course), one that I just finished and one that I am just beginning. The series I just finished was Denise A. Agnew’s Heart of Justice. There are 4 books in this series, the first, Within His Sight being a novella. The next 3 are full length novels; In Her Defence, Under His Protection and Within His Embrace. It was an excellent series that I really enjoyed!!!

I’m currently reading Elle Kennedy’s Killer Instinct series. It is a 3 book (so far) series. I’m currently reading Book 1, Midnight Rescue. The other two books are Midnight Alias and Midnight Games. The blurb on her web page say: “Enter the high-stakes world of deadly mercenaries and kickass assassins. This action-packed new series features alpha men, lethal women, dark suspense and steamy passion…” This translates to MUST READ to me!!! There are at least 2 more books coming in this series!!!

Onto my TBR’s…..I’m going to split them into books that are already published and books that are yet to be released.

Published:
The Rock Chick series by Kristen Ashley
The Private Protectors series by Adrienne Giordano
The Rancho Del Cielo series by Dee Tenorio
The Paradise series by Elle Kennedy
The FBI/US Attorney series by Julie James
The Night Stalkers series by M.L. Buchman
Serve & Protect series by Norah Wilson
The Barefoot series by Roxanne St. Claire
The McCloud Brothers series by Shannon McKenna
The SSU Trilogy by Vanessa Kier

To Be Released(in order of release date):
Against the Mark (09 Against Series) by Kat Martin (Aug 27, 2013)
Lethal Pursuit (03 Bagram Special Ops) by Kaylea Cross (Sept 16, 2013)
Midnight Lies (02 Midnight Series) by Ella Grace (Sept 24, 2013)
Targeted (02 Deadly Ops) by Katie Reus (Oct 1, 2013)
Striking Distance (an I-Team Novel) by Pamela Clare (Nov 5, 2023)
Born Wild (Black Nights Inc) by Julie Ann Walker (Nov 5, 2013
Unbreakable (a Section 8 Novel) by Stephanie Tyler (Nov 5, 2013)
Hard as it Gets (A Hard Ink Novel) by Laura Kaye (Nove 26, 2013)
Hot Pursuit (A Sugarland Blue Novel) by Jo Davis (Dec 3, 2013)
After the Storm (a KGI Novel) by Maya Banks (December 31, 2013)

I should note that some of the books on the “Published” section, have been on it for a while. It’s so hard to clear that list when so many great books keep popping up!!!

Have a great week everyone. I hope you all get lots of reading time!!!!!
