Happy Thanksgiving!

Hi Everyone, I'm still in the midst of polishing up LAST CHANCE but do plan on stopping for a day or so for some down time with my family.

Looking forward to our traditional gathering which includes : Family, Food and Football. The three essentials for our large, southern family!

Wishing all of my US friends, near and far, a most excellent Thanksgiving filled with all of your favorite things.

I have so much to be thankful for and that includes all of you!

Wishing you all the best!

Christy

Happy Monday

Hi Everyone, just popping in for a quick update. I'm winding down on the revisions for LAST CHANCE and page proofs of SECOND CHANCE.

It's been a busy year for me but I hope to take off a few days once I'm finished. Lots of shopping to do and a whole bunch of reading as well. There are so many wonderful books I've put aside and can't wait to get started on them.

I do have some exciting news about my covers. Though I loved them before, now they're even more spectacular. WOW! Colorful and bold and absolutely beautiful. Still the same images...which I'm glad since the people on the cover look so much like the characters, but the new colors make them stand out even more. I can't wait to share them with you. After I finish up revisions and page proofs, I'll get them up on my website.

Thanks to everyone who commented on my blog last week. That was a lot of fun. Congratulations to Ida, Connie and Elle for winning an autographed copy of one of my books. I've heard from Ida, but still need to hear from Connie and Elle. Ladies, email me at christy@christyreece.com so I can arrange to get your book to you.

I'll be blogging at a couple more places in December and will let you know where and when. And of course, there will be giveaways.

Hope everyone has a fabulous Monday!

Blogging and a Signing

Hi Everyone-

Just wanted to give you some information on a couple of upcoming calendar items. Wednesday, November 18, I'll be blogging at Over Coffee blogspot and will be talking about something that always happens to me after I finish a book and send it off. I call it my end of book blues. I've also experienced something similar after reading a book I've really enjoyed. If I try to pick up another book too soon after finishing, it's sometimes difficult to enjoy it. I end up wanting to go back to the book I just finished and relive it again. Has this ever happened to you?

If you get a chance, be sure to stop by on Wednesday. Here's the link: http://www.siamckye.blogspot.com

And there will be book giveaways!

Also, on Saturday, December 5, I'll be signing with some of my fellow Southern Magic authors: Peggy Webb, Debra Webb and Jennifer Echols. All fabulous authors. If you've not tried them, you need to!

We'll be at two Birmingham area Books A Million stores. If you're in the neighborhood, would love to see you!

11:00 - 1:00 Fultondale Books A Million
3:00 - 5:00 Brookwood Village Books A Million

I have a few other blog sites I'll be visiting over the next couple of months. Don't have all the details yet, but will be sure to give you a heads-up in time to stop by and say hi.

Hope everyone has a marvelous Monday!

Happy Tuesday

Hi Everyone, just a brief update for you. I have some minor revisions to do for LAST CHANCE and will be working on them over the next few weeks. In between this, I'll be blogging at different locations. I'll post these locations sometime this weekend. There will be giveaways, so stay tuned!

LAST CHANCE excerpt might be delayed a bit since I'm in the midst of revisions. I know...I know. So frustrating. But I promise, it will be worth the wait. My editor loved the book but there was one issue I let the hero get away with that she just couldn't abide. Since I want everyone to love Lucas as much as I do, I'll soften it just a bit. I thought his motive was totally understandable, but others might not feel that way. It will take me a little extra time to change this, so please be patient!

I am so excited about all the books in my upcoming trilogy. I think each one is unique in its own way. My heroes are courageous and yummy and my heroines are strong and resilient. Each book turned out even better than I thought it would. Love it when that happens!

I've received so many wonderful emails over the last six months since the release of my first book, RESCUE ME. I can't tell you how much that means to me. Knowing that people have enjoyed reading my books is just so amazing and thrilling. Thank you! Recently I received an email from a reader who wanted to know if a book is written, why does it take so long to get on the shelf. I thought this was an excellent question. Though I'm still quite new at this and learn something new everyday, I'm going to attempt to answer this question. Since I'm getting a late start on my writing today, I'll postpone answering until next week. But thanks to Rhonda for asking such a great question.

Okay, that's it for this week. Got to dig deep and get Lucas out of trouble!

Till later!

Mid-Week Hi and Great News

Happy Wednesday!

Hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful autumn. October may be gone, but the blue skies and mild temperatures are still here in the South. Absolutely gorgeous weather this week. What's it like in your neck of the woods?

Oh, and great news! The new trilogy, NO CHANCE, SECOND CHANCE and LAST CHANCE is going to be on audio! Yay! I'm so excited about this and can't wait to hear my books. I often read them aloud so I can catch mistakes and make sure the dialogue sounds realistic. I anticipate this will sound a million times better than my Southern drawl. Hope you get a chance to hear them too!

More great news! My editor loved LAST CHANCE! Yay!!! I'm thrilled. Once copy edits are complete, I'll post an excerpt. It'll probably be at least a month or more, but it is coming.

Okay, going back to thinking about some new story ideas. Hope your Wednesday is everything you want it to be and more.

Till later!
