RETURN TO ME is here!!!

I stayed up till midnight so I could post and announce the minute RETURN TO ME was officially released. It's May 19 at last! Yay!

I'm going to sleep a few hours but will be back around 10:00 AM or so to start the celebration. Please join me for cyber champagne and lots of goodies to give away.

Counting the Hours

New Website, Excerpts and Guest Blogging

My new design is live! I'm thrilled with it and hope you'll take the opportunity to visit a while. I'll be adding new things here and there, from time to time, so be sure to check back often. Also, I changed the title of my blog to News and Notes. That way I can post news immediately and keep you up to date on what's going on.

One Week To Go

RETURN TO ME will be released on May 19...in seven days! Woohoo!

I've received numerous emails from readers telling me they're looking forward to Noah and Samara's story. The early reviews of RETURN TO ME are fantastic and I'm thrilled with them. I hope readers enjoy getting to know the mysterious founder of Last Chance Rescue. And that you enjoy watching the sparks fly as he falls hard for the fiery and spirited Samara Lyons.

Taking a Mini Break

Hi Everyone!

Just wanted to stop in and say a big THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH to all the wonderful people who have sent emails telling me they loved RESCUE ME! You'll never know how much that means to me. They silence those nasty doubt demons that attack every author. I'm saving them all!

I try to answer all of my emails within a day of receiving them. However, I received a lovely email from a reader named Lori that I was unable to answer. My reply email bounced back twice. So Lori, if you're reading this blog, please know how much your email meant to me. I'm sorry I couldn't respond in private.

I'm busily and happily working away on LAST CHANCE, the first book in the new trilogy. This is Gabe Maddox's story. He has a minor role in RESCUE ME and RETURN TO ME but you'll really get to know him in RUN TO ME. I hope, once you read RUN TO ME, you'll look forward to his story as much as I did. I have to admit, he's surprised me in several different ways. All good, thankfully.

And great news, LAST CHANCE and SECOND CHANCE are now available for pre-order on the Random House website and on Amazon. Woohoo!

RETURN TO ME arrives in bookstores in ten days! I hope you enjoy reading Noah and Samara's story as much as I enjoyed writing it. They definitely kept me entertained. Hope they do the same for you.

An Exciting Week

Last week was a blast. Though I came down with a nasty upper respiratory infection and didn't get to celebrate as much as I would have liked, I still had a great time.

Here are some highlights:

On Saturday, April 26, I was headed to my Southern Magic chapter meeting and stopped in at Books A Million and my books were already there! I was alone...no one to squeal with...so I called my husband and then some friends and shared with them. I introduced myself and signed the stock. Funny moment: I was so nervous that when I signed one of the books,  it looked so spidery and terrible, I bought the book myself!

On Tuesday, official release day: Received three bouquets of flowers. One from several friends from a romance book club I used to run at Borders Bookstore. They also sent chocolates! Then my friend Jill, who was my very first critique partner(see my acknowledgments in RESCUE ME). And, I received a beautiful bouquet from my sweet husband. This was a huge surprise and was so very special. I felt like a celebrity all day long!

I also received emails from friends, along with photographs of my book on the shelf in several different states. So cool! And I received phone calls of congratulations from various family and friends. Another special treat.

On Saturday, I went to the Heart of Dixie Readers Luncheon and signed my book. My very first signing! It was a blast. My mom, sisters, aunt and some of their friends and relatives attended. I so love my family! I signed several books for family, friends and hopefully some new fans. And met some lovely people. 

And all through the week, I've received emails from people who read RESCUE ME and really liked it. One woman said that I went on her automatic buy list. Another reader said I was now one of her favorite authors. Oh wow! These emails meant so much. People who I've never met telling me they liked my books. That's so different than a relative or friend who you secretly fear tell you they liked your book because they feel they have to. Having complete strangers say this is an awesome feeling and I thank them so much for taking the time to do that.

Oh and on Friday, I noticed that Random House has my new book, LAST CHANCE, up for pre-order. The release date is December 29, 2009! Oh wow!

So, it was a fabulous week and there were a multitude of things that I didn't mention that were special too. Now it's back to work. I have a June 1 deadline!
