Just a Quick Update

Hi Everyone!

Apologies to those who are regular readers. I've been busy working on SECOND CHANCE and am just now coming up for air. This book is one of the most emotional stories I've ever written. I'm so thankful it's summer time and the sun is shining. I love being able to go outside for warmth and much needed brightness. There is a beautiful happy ever after ending to the story, but a few of the events in it are really tugging on my heart.

I think we're close to finalizing the covers for the new trilogy and I'm hoping to be able to share them with you soon. I promise, you won't be disappointed. They're fabulous!

The order issues because of the title changes have been fixed. I'll have the pre-order buttons back up soon. In the meantime, if you'd like to pre-order, you can go to the Random House site or Amazon.com. Those two sites are the only places, so far, that the dates and book titles are correct...at least last time I checked. Should be fixed everywhere else soon.

Oh and my German cover for RESCUE ME is ready to post! I should have it up on the home page in the next few days. Wow, a very different look. Dark and quite spooky! The scheduled release for the German version is April 2010. I haven't seen the cover for RETURN TO ME yet. Can't wait!

Also, I'll be posting some new reviews for all three books on the Books page soon. Hope you enjoy them!

Title Change Official

It's official. There's been a title switch! Here are the titles and release dates:

NO CHANCE - December 29, 2009

SECOND CHANCE - January 26, 2010

LAST CHANCE - February 23, 2010

I took off the pre-order buttons until everything gets straightened out on Amazon. It takes a few days to get it updated. And I'll add the buttons for all three as soon as everything's set.

Also, got a sneak peek at my covers. Oh! My! Gosh! They're gorgeous! I'm so excited and can't wait to share them with you. I don't know when that will be, but believe me, as soon as I can, I'll be putting them up. I'm over the moon!

Oh, and I received a very cool email from my editor. She read the first 100 pages of NO CHANCE (Gabe and Skylar's book) and said she is loving it and it gave her shivers. Woohoo!

Now it's back to work on SECOND CHANCE. Deadline is August 1, so need to hit it hard. Will check back in a few days and say hi. Until then, remember you can always email me at christy@christyreece.com or drop me a post here.

RUN TO ME excerpt is up!

Just wanted to pop in and announce that the RUN TO ME excerpt is up. This is the prologue. And the teaser in the back of RETURN TO ME is the beginning of chapter one. So you have several pages to get the flavor of the book. Hope you enjoy!

Monday, June 1, I sent in the finished manuscript for my December 29 release. Yay!!! This is Gabe Maddox's story. You met him briefly in RESCUE ME, got a little more in RETURN TO ME and in RUN TO ME, he plays a much larger role. I'm so glad he's been in all the books because I was able to get to know him better in each one. I think once you get to know him, you'll agree that this is one sexy, heroic man. And Skylar McKenzie is perfect for him. These characters surprised me in several ways and I love them! Hope you do too.

We're having some discussions about the title right now, looks like it might change. I'll let you know for sure within the next day or so.

Quick Update

Just popping in to say a hi. My deadline for LAST CHANCE is Monday, so working feverishly to finish. And I do mean feverishly. My sweetie and I have had some sort of upper respiratory infection and we keep passing it back to the other. Sharing is a good thing, but I'm tired of sharing this stuff. We're hoping the sunshine we haven't seen much of lately will stay around a while and cure us. Our pesky antibiotics sure haven't.

Once again, wanted to thank those who have emailed me about enjoying RESCUE ME and/or RETURN TO ME. That means so very much, especially to a newly published author who battles those demons of doubt on a daily basis. I answer each email I receive, but there have been three or four emails I've not been able to respond to. My emails are kicked back. So, if you've sent me an email and I've not responded, please know I did try. Also, thank you for your kind words and encouragement!

I'm hoping to get an excerpt of RUN TO ME up on my website this next week. There's one on the Random House site, but I believe it's the teaser in the back of RETURN TO ME. I'll put up a different one to give you a little bit more of the flavor of the book. Still completely thrilled with the RT 4 1/2 star review for RUN TO ME!

I just wanted to pop in and shout out a giant THANK YOU! I've received so many incredibly nice emails from readers who are loving RETURN TO ME. What a joy it is to know that you approve of the happy ever after Noah McCall received with his Samara.

Of course, with Noah being the head of Last Chance Rescue, you'll see him in every book. And honestly, he's just so hard to let go of.

I'm busily revising and editing LAST CHANCE, which is Gabe Maddox and Skylar McKenzie's story. I'm loving these characters and when it's released December 29, I hope you agree.
