Recommend Monday!

Good Monday All!

Hope you had a productive week and weekend. Mine was once again incredibly busy but so rewarding. SWEET JUSTICE has turned into one of my favorite books and Honor and Seth are now two of my favorite characters. I have loved writing about this couple and so enjoyed watching them fall in love again. And man oh man, I cannot imagine a more evil, sinister, twisted villain. I'm so excited about this book, but it's...

SWEET JUSTICE DEADLINE DAY!!!!!!!!!

So, no long post again today. Later on this week, I'll pop back on and catch everyone up. I'm way behind in everything, so if you've emailed or messaged me on Facebook or Twitter, don't think I'm ignoring you. After SWEET JUSTICE is sent, I'll take a few days off to do all the things I'm behind on. Then it's on to SWEET REVENGE, which is really shaping up to be a shocker for everyone, even me!

No new book recommends from me today. However, I did think of a book over the weekend and wondered if any of you have read it. Morning Glory by LaVyrle Spencer. It's my favorite book by this author and an absolutely wonderful read.

So tell us what you've read and loved this past week. I'll come by tomorrow, after I've slept for a while, and chat.

Until then, hope everyone has a fabulous day and please send special thoughts to Seth and Honor as they wrap up their story and head to the Big Apple!

Good luck to you Christy on your final hours before deadline...Can't wait to read this one...

Last week I was on a Troubleshooters kick. I finished Nash's story and Cosmo's story (am reading Max now). I love them all, and I think that Nash is in my top three, behind Sam (of course) and Tom. If you haven't read the Troubleshooter series by Suzanne Brockmann, I highly recommend it.

I also read a cowboy book this week too, had to squeeze in them too LOL. I read Christmas Brides by Linda Lael Miller. I really love her McKettrick and Creed stories and this book had BOTH.

I think I will move on from the TS series after Max, I have several that are on the top of my TBR pile, but I am thinking Lori Foster's Tempted has been looking tempting (sorry I couldn't resist).

Have a great week everyone.

Happy Monday Everyone!

Good luck on your deadline Christy!

I started last week off reading a the first couple of the Bullet Catcher books...which I enjoyed. I liked the first book in her new series better though.

I got sidetracked by Robyn Carr's Virgin River series. I read Virgin River and Sheltering Mountain and I'm hooked! Loved these books...couldn't put them down!

Have a great week!

Christy, just reading about your excitement level and love for your characters and book makes me love them! plus, it makes me want to read the book right this very second!!!

Hope--keep reading the TS...they get better and better as you go along!!! Plus, Sam is always popping up!!

Last week I only read Jill Shalvis Simply Irresistible. It took forever, but I really enjoyed it. The book is also the subject of Marie Force's Romance and Oreos book club this Thursday, so make sure to pop on by!!

Am so excited for you Christy! Loads of luck with your deadline. I know I am dying to read the books!

I read Jill Sorenson's Crash Into Me and really enjoyed it. I just finished Beverly Barton's Don't Cry this second. Was a good book too. even though this was the beginning of a new series I am looking forward to the rest of her Griffin Powell series.

Have no idea what to read next but I am in the mood for some more romantic suspense.

Happy Monday everyone!

CHRISTY! I am a super excited for this book! Like Kris said your excitement is rubbing off in a serious way! (Hmmm.... wonder if I could break into your publishers office and steal myself a copy? I'll have to think on a way to do that. lol I'm sure it'll be easy from Wyoming!) Good luck with the last little bit today!

I didn't get a lot of reading done last week, but I did reread Unsung Hero by Suzanne Brockmann! I've officially started the series over in anticipation for Izzy's book....sigh... I love those TS boys!
I also just finished Stephanie Tyler's Lie With Me. What a great book! I can NOT wait for the next one!!
I have recently got a whole box of books from two friends so my TBR pile is slightly out of control. But all I can say is BRING IT ON! lol I think I can handle it. :)
I may not get much reading this week. My Mother in-law is coming up for Thanksgiving! I am super excited to see her and her husband, but they are also bringing my beautiful step daughter with them!! I'm pumped but I also have a lot to do!!
This week my cousin is graduating with his Green Beret! I'm so proud of him and his family! The Army life isn't easy for sure!
Have a wonderful week everyone!

Hi Christy , hi everyone,
Christy I am thrilled to hear that Honor and Seth are now one of your favourite characters and its hard for us readers to have to wait so long to get to know them.
I hope you will enjoy your well earned downtime. Do you have special plans for it ?

Last week I read two books of Suzanne Brockmanns TDD- series, "Friscco´s kid" and " Everyday,Average Jones". Although I think her troubleshooter books are a bit more complex than the TDD books I read so far, I really really liked Frisco and was glad he finally was able to move on with his life.
I plan to reread the Troubleshooter books during Christmas holidays to get back into the series when Izzys book comes out.

I also read Dancing in the Dark by Dee Davis and Play Dead by Meryl Sawyer. Both good reads but not over exciting.

I just started Happy ever after by Nora Roberts but I am not sure if I can concentrate on reading this week because my mother has to undergo a surgery on tuesday - one of her kidneys has to be removed due to a tumor and we don´t know yet if the tumor is cancerous . We are all very worried, but hopefully it will turn out ok.

Have a great week everyone.

I have BADLY Wanted Sweet Justice from the first moment you mention it. I just know it is going to be AWESOME!

Elke, will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

I have been on a reading spree, Kieran Kramer's "When Harry Met Molly". Anne Stuart's "Breathless". Emma Holly's "Devil At Midnight" (If you like Emma then this is a winner) and TWO TOTALLY AWESOME books by Stephanie Tyler! "Lie with Me" and I was fortunate to win an ARC of "Promises In The Dark" they are definate buys and they have the suspense and romance and sizzle and I just had such a great time reading them.

Crystal (cmac) said...

Christy,
I am SO excited for you! LOVE that you love this book and the characters so much.
This week I finished Simply Irresistible by Jill Shalvis, and it really ,really was irresistible. Impatiently waiting for the next one. I reread Marie Force's Fatal Affair. LOVE those characters! I am working now on Heartless by Mary Balogh and just started Lauren Dane's new book Inside Out. I was able to go to the bookstore with my mom this weekend and bought the new Kylie Brant book. I'm very anxious to start that.
Hope everyone has a great week. Elke, hope all goes well with your mom's surgery. You will be in our thoughts.

Hi Christy,

Can't wait to read ALL of your upcoming books!

I was in Vegas last week. It was supposed to be a ladies trip---but, at the last minute, the guys decided to go. We had a blast!

Christy, the day of the trip, Return to Me was returned to me---on the plane, one of my friends asked if they could read it....so atlas, it is gone again...but, on the bright side, another person has been given the opportunity to enjoy your wonderful writing skills!

Elke - my prayers to your mom to get better soon.

Hi All
Best wishes Elke. That's tough.

I won Lie With Me & I can't wait to read it.

Kara
So glad you enjoyed Jill's book. Are you going to be at Marie Force's blog for Book Club on Thursday? She's featuring SI & Jill is supposed tp drop in.

Still on my contemp kick so I'm trying to finish Black Jack by Lora Leigh. I bought Renegade so I want to finish it. The book is fine - just not reading rom. susp. right now.

Read:
How To Score by Robin Wells

Reading:
Satisfaction by Marianne Stillings

Finished Finding Perfect by Susan Mallery too. Enjoyed it as well.

Hope said...

Mary G - are you reading the Lora Leigh series in order? There is like 8 or 9 books in that series, I really loved it.

Elke - I hope everything goes well for your mom!

I keep hearing such good things about the troubleshooters series...Sounds like I should add a few more books to my pile!

Christy, I'm assuming the dynamo duo are on their journey to the Big Apple! I'm wishing you, Honor and Seth good luck with the editors!!! I'm certainly revved and ready for this book!!!

I have read "Morning Glory" and enjoyed it immensely. It's on my keeper shelves.

Oh Jackie P and Crystal (cmac) -- I, too, received an early copy of "Promises In the Dark" from Stephanie Tyler. WOW WOW WOW! The Shadow Force series is outstanding and PITD was packed with multi-layers of suspense and romance. Just finished the book yesterday and I'm already starving for the next book "In the Air Tonight" but will have to wait until summer 2011. Bummer!!!!
It is definitely one that romantic suspense lovers will not want to miss.

Elke, your mom, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Mary G - I'm looking forward to Marie's book club this week and the visit with Jill Shalvis. "Simply Irresistible" is the perfect title for this one. I haven't read a contemporary romance as good as this one in a long, long time. A real feel good read!!!

I also read a really good historical in Christie Kelley's "Scandal of the Season" this past week that very entertaining and I enjoyed it alot!

Just found out that I won an e-ARC of Toni Blake's new "Whisper Falls" so I'm off to try and download it from netgalley. She writes really good contemporary romance and I'm looking forward to reading this new book this afternoon.

Wishing you guys a great week!

Thank you all for your good wishes and prayers for my moms surgery. I am really overwhelmed. I just got the word that the surgery is over and there were no complications so far. However ,first examinations showed that the tumor is cancerous - but it looks like its only locally in the the removed kidney and has not spread out. We hope that further examinations will confirm that and she will fully recover.

Luci said...

Elke, I am glad the surgery went went. It's a good sign that the cancer is localised. Keeping your mum in my thoughts and prayers and wish her a full recovery

Crystal (cmac) said...

Elke thinking of you and your mom today! I'm glad she came through surgery okay. I'll keep praying for good results!

Hey All! Well, SWEET JUSTICE zoomed to NY around 6:00 PM CST last night. Now the waiting begins to hear if my editor likes it. She's already read the first 100 pages and loved it, so I'm hopeful for the rest!

Hope, thanks for the good wishes! On TS-I need to go back and start the TS books again. I'm about 3 or 4 behind but I'd love to revisit all of them. Such great characters!

AlisonP, thanks so much. And I have Virgin River on top of my TBR pile. I have heard so very much about this series and feel way behind. Looking forward to it.

Kris, welcome back! Hope you had a great vacay! And I'm hoping everyone else will love Seth and Honor as much as I do. (:

Will try to check in and say hey at Marie's blog. Haven't read the book yet, but chatting about a great book is always fun.

Luci, thanks so much! I think I have a Jill Sorenson book in my book closet. Might need to pull it out!

Crystal, thanks so much. And thanks again for the information you provided for SWEET JUSTICE!

Unsung Hero was my first Suzanne Brockmann read and it's still one of my favorites. That and Letters to Kelley (still get teary-eyed thinking about that one).

Congratulations on your cousin's Green Beret! That is so very awesome!

Elke, thanks so much. So glad you're looking forward to SJ. Prayers and warm thoughts for your mom and your family. Sounds like there's a great chance for a full recovery. That's wonderful! Please keep us updated.

Jackie, glad you're looking forward to SJ! And wow, oh, wow, you have been on a reading spree. Looks fabulous!

Kara, I hope everyone loves Seth and Honor as much as I do. Sometimes a couple just seems to become so very real to a writer. I have loved all of my couples, but some have been much easier to love that others. (:

I'll be interested in hearing what you thought about Heartless. It's one of my favorite Balogh books.

Linda, a Vegas trip sounds like such fun. And thanks for sharing RETURN TO ME with others. I'll be sending out yours and Jackie's packages I owe you soon (so sorry I'm late with them) and RETURN TO ME will be in yours. (:

Mary G, looks like you've been on a successful reading binge. Good for you! And congrats on winning a copy of Lie With Me. It looks so good!

Oklaannie, yes, Seth and Honor are in the Big Apple, hopefully having a blast. They certainly deserve it after what I put them through. (:

And isn't Morning Glory wonderful? It was my first Spencer book and still my all time favorite of hers. Such absolutely wonderful characters and a lovely love story.

Congrats on winning an ARC of Toni's new book! Hope you love it.

Happy Tuesday all! I'm off to find my desk. It disappeared but I'm hoping that under all the junk I see hovering in the air, there's a desk under it. (:

I love them so much that I asked for an e-reader for my birthday this last month so that I dont have to wait to go to the book store to get the next one! Im just started last chance and already cant put it down. The hard part is going to be waiting for the next book to come out. lol Anyway, good luck with everything and thanks again for such an amazing set of books.

Hey Crystal! I have one more day of relaxation/catch up before I get back to Dylan and Jamie. Really hope I can get some reading done. Yesterday, instead of reading, I found myself staring at the wall. LOL I think my brain is tired.
