Hope you had a productive week last week and a fun-filled weekend. Anything you want to share with us here? We won't tell, we promise! (: What about great books? Did you read something that you can't wait to tell your fellow readers about? If so, let us know. I don't know about anyone else, but my TBR list, though long, always has room for more books!
Last week I finished up copy edits for SWEET REWARD. Every time I read through this book I feel so excited to have met these two characters. Both Mia and Jared have so much heart and are such fun. I can't wait for you to read their story!
Anyone notice that we're only 14 days away from the release of SWEET JUSTICE? Yahooooooooooo! Seems like it's been forever since I had a release and I don't think I've ever been this excited about my releases. Each SWEET book is special to me in very different ways. I've loved each LCR book I've written and adored each hero and heroine, but somehow the SWEET books came together in a way that made them a little extra special. Once you read them, I hope you feel the same way.
I've had numerous emails and messages asking me what comes after the SWEET trilogy. All I can say is--there is something, but I can't share anything right now. Stay tuned though. Will tell all as soon as I can. Promise!
Is everyone ready for tomorrow's LAST CHANCE discussion? Do you have questions for McKenna and Lucas? Want to discuss the vileness of Damon Hughes? Want to know what late change I made in the story that made a huge difference to the outcome? If so, please stop by tomorrow. Remember, if you've not read it and don't like spoilers, be sure to read the book before tomorrow or read the blog at your own peril. (Sounds dangerous, doesn't it?) (:
What's up for this week is a lot of different things. I'm still working on promotion for the new trilogy and writing a bit on something else (that I can't talk about yet). I may do a bit more reading, too. Which leads me to a recommend of my very own. I read the first book (yes, I'm behind) in Roxanne St. Claire's new series and absolutely loved it. Edge of Sight has fabulous characters, lots of steam and plenty of suspense. And it's a reunion romance which you know I adore. I'm so looking forward to the next two in the series.
Oh, before I forget. I have an extra special guest coming here to the blog on September 1. The incredibly talented Marie Force will be here to talk about her Fatal series and all of her fabulous books. She's also giving away a complete set (PDF) of her Fatal books. How awesome is that!
Okay, that's it for me. I'm headed out for a long walk so I can have a chat with some new characters. We're in the getting to know each other phase. (:
Hope everyone has a fabulous Monday. Will see you here tomorrow for the LAST CHANCE discussion. And remember, there will be prizes!
Now, tell us what great books we should be reading!

Greetings all!
Another busy weekend for us. Started packing for vacation. We don't leave until the 31st, but I have to go to Austin before that and want to have as much stuff ready to go before I leave!
I read a trilogy that was very sweet, but just "eh" for me. But, I finally read Animal Magnetism by Jill Shalvis and really loved it. I was trying to wait until the next ones in the series come out, but I really needed something light. I also read Shannon K. Butcher's Blood Hunt, the latest in the Sentinel Wars series. Even though I'm not a huge paranormal fan, I'm totally hoooked on this series!
Hey Kris! Oh, I have vacation envy and I don't even know where you're going. Hope you have a fab time!
I have Animal Magnetism on my list. Will move it closer to the top!
Have a great week. Hope to see you back here tomorrow for the LAST CHANCE chat!
SWEET Monday morning to all!
Still fighting the heat in OK! We are having a little rain shower as I type causing me to smile from ear-to-ear. Little grandson made it through his first days of kindergarten last week with a wonderful quote at the end, "I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT IT!"
I've been reading a bunch of new authors on my Kindle. Teresa Reasor and her Navy SEAL book was fab; Morgan Kearn's FADE TO BLACK and IN IT TO WIN IT really surprised me at how much I enjoyed both (connected books), and A DOZEN DEADLY ROSES by Kathy Bennett was a very good romantic suspense, and Carol Ericson's SMOKESCREEN and THE BODY POLITIC rounded out some interesting new reads.
Looking forward to tomorrow's visit with Lucas and McKenna, two of my favorites from the LCR books!
Enjoy a SWEET week everybody!
Happy Monday all!
Just got back from open house day at school, and Wednesday is the first day. This mom is NOT ready, but my little is pretty excited.
Not too much reading last week. I read Trace of Fever by Lori Foster. Enjoying the entire series and can't wait to read the final book.
I also read Silver Girl by Elin Hilderbrand. It was a fictional book about a the wife of a Bernie Madoff type who seeks shelter with her childhood friend. I enjoyed the story and the characters. Not a great read, but good.
Christy, I got my copy of SWEET Justice in the mail and well you all know what I'll be reading this week. Thank you so much!
Have a great week everyone!
Christy,
We'll be heading to SanFran, one of my most favorite cities! I'm really excited to show my daughter around there, as it will be her first time. Even better is our friends, and my daughter's BFF, will be meeting us there!
Tara,
color me green with envy, but I'm also excited for you that you don't have to wait another 2 weeks for the book!!!!
Happy Monday Everyone!
Animal Magnetism is so good! I might need to pull it out for a re-read when the next book in the series comes out.
This weekend I read Kate Brady's Seridan series...One Scream Away and Last to Die, both were good reads. Lots of action and suspense...pretty light on romance but good anyway. I also really enjoyed Teresa Reasor's Breaking Free.
Kris you're taking vacation at the perfect time...so many good books coming out in the next couple weeks!
Talk to everyone tomorrow!
Hi everyone! Hope everyone is starting the week off great! My air conditioning unit broke last night so we didn't have any air but it wasn't so bad because it has cooled down considerably over the last few weeks. It's one of those window units so it's easy to replace, I think. I grew up in South Florida with central air so this is still all new to me. I'm assuming it's easy to fix. :)
Sadly, I don't have anything that I want to recommend today. I have read quite a few books since last week but none worth mentioning. I'm in a bit of a rut with my book reading. I did pick up a bunch of books recently that I keep hearing about, one was that Jill Shalvis book Animal Magnestism, maybe I'll try that next. I do have a lot of Roxanne St. Claire's books but just haven't gotten to them yet. Now that I know there is reunion love in her Edge Of Sight book, I may read that very soon. Rekindled love is my favorite! I have a hard time finding those stories too.
I hope these 14 days go by real fast!
Hey everyone! I am super excited to report my thoughts on Sweet Justice..... Oh My Gosh.... The LCR books are all among my favorite books out there. I never thought that Christy could write any better than she has in the past, but she has exceeded all prior expectations. Sweet Justice was a page turner from the very first page. The chemistry between Seth and Honor is off the charts. Seth is so swoon worthy and doesn't even know it. They are after a very nasty villain and the hero in Seth has a hard time letting the woman he loves be put in harms way. I never thought it possible to say I love any book more than some of the previous LCR books, but Sweet Justice is the best book yet!! Congrats Christy I know it is going to fly off the shelves!! I loved every thing about it starting with the cover!!
Now after my gushing on Seth my other reads for the week insist on being mentioned. I also read Julia London's The Book of Scandal this was my fist book by her and I really enjoyed it.
I read the first in the Hathaway series by Lisa Kleypas Mine till Midnight. I enjoyed it as well. It was nice reading Cam's story!
Then I read a couple rereads. Once and Always by Judith McNaught. This was one of the first historical books I read. I am so happy I went back for a reread.. I loved it even more the second time around. The same goes for Ransom by Julie Garwood. I reread it as well and it never fails to be even greater than the time before. That is it for me. Again Christy SJ was fabulous!!
Hope everyone has a great week! I'll be back tomorrow to talk all things Lucas and McKenna! :)
Hi everyone, just stopping by to say hello.
No recommends from me this week as I am saving all new books for our upcoming holidays.
I did some rereads - two books by Beverly Barton about the Dundee Agency and the Deadly series by Cynthia Eden.
Crystal and Tara I am really envious that you´have got Sweet Justice already- especially as I have to wait two more weeks to read it, because we are on holiday when it will be delivered. Really bad timing.
Have a great week everyone and see you tomorrow.
Yay Christy, will soon have your book in my hands!
We returned from a boistorous break with my family on Malta's sister island of Gozo. We were 26 in all - my parents, 6 siblings, husbands and wifes, and 13 grandchildren. Lots of noise everywhere and loads of fun. We don't go away often together as we all have very busy jobs but we all had a blast - kids included.
I am reading my first Michele Sinclair and am really enjoying it - its the first in her highlander series - The Highlander's Bride.
Didn't read much in Gozo - just Pamela Clare's short story Heaven Can't Wait. It was good but I always prefer full novels to short stories.
Love Marie Force's Fatal series! Am looking forward to her next one.
OMG Taryn
Start with the prequel to Edge Of Sight, free on Roxanne's web-site. You will be hooked & wonder why you waited. They're fab.
Haven't had much time -still enjoying two from last week. Silly me though, I still love coming here for a shopping list LOL.
Excited about the Sweet Series & counting down.
First...I can't wait for a Sweet book release!!! We had a good week racing, 2 horses won and the other 2 got checks!! Woot Woot!! we can eat this week lol.
So let's see I read Revelations by laurel Dewey which is the 3rd book in her Jane Perry series. Great characters. then I read Sarah's Key. I had that book for about a year, bought it on someone's recommendation but it's not the type of book I usually read but let me tell you once I picked it up I did not want to put it down It was terrific. And now i am reading On the Run by Sue Fineman.
On a last note I have been reading on my kindle or nook since Christmas and Sarah's key was a for real book and boy I'll tell you it was wonderful reading real pages and turning them and feeling the weight of the book and smelling the pages. Ereaders are great but there is nothing like a real book. IMO
Hey all, sorry I'm checking back in so late. Mr. Reece took me out for an unexpected Five Guys burger. Very good! But now I'm sleepy. (:
Anne, I hope your rain storm lasted for hours, drenched all the dry stuff and turns everything green! And hope it cools the temp down, too! Lots of wonderful recommends, too!
I've downloaded Teresa Reasor's book but haven't read it yet. I does look great. See you back here tomorrow for a chat with Lucas and McKenna!
Hey Tara! I can't imagine how difficult it is to see your little one grown up enough to start school. I'd probably boohoo for days. But how wonderful that the little one is excited. That's got to make it much easier on you. Even though it's been eons ago, I remember crying because I didn't want to go to school. Never gave it any thought that my mom would be emotional about it too. (:
I have Lori Foster new series but haven't started it yet. That will probably be next after my Roxanne St. Claire binge. (:
Glad you got your copy of SWEET JUSTICE. Hope you enjoy!
Oh wow, Kris, have a fabulous time in San Francisco!
Hey Alison! I'm definitely moving Animal Magnetism up on my list. This book has been recommended so many times--gotta be a great one.
See you here tomorrow for the LAST CHANCE chat!
Hi Taryn! Oh wow, no air conditioning! It was 100 here today and if ours went out, I do believe we'd be melted into a big glob right now. I'm glad it's not as hot up where you are.
I think you'll enjoy Edge of Sight. And I agree with Mary G. Be sure to read the prequel on Rocki's website before reading the book. It just made the story all the more emotional to me.
Glad you like rekindled love stories--and that you're looking forward to SWEET JUSTICE. A definite rekindled love with Seth and Honor. (:
Hope you'll stop by tomorrow for our LAST CHANCE discussion!
Hey Crystal! Yay! I'm so happy you enjoyed SWEET JUSTICE! Seth and Honor are two of my very favorite characters. Thank you so much for your SWEET words!
Oh, you know I adore Judith McNaught. Once and Always is one of my favorites of hers. Her writing is so romantic and I love her characters. LOL Now, I'm thinking I need a reread soon too!
See you back here tomorrow for the LAST CHANCE discussion!
Hi Elke! Saving reads till vacation is a great idea. Just makes the anticipation all the SWEETer! And hopefully when you get back, SWEET JUSTICE will be waiting on you. (:
See you tomorrow for the LAST CHANCE discussion.
Hey Luci! Your vacation sounds like such fun! I adore family get togethers like that.
Will check out Michelle Sinclair's books. Love a good Highlander story.
So glad you're looking forward to SWEET JUSTICE. Not long now!
Hope you'll stop by tomorrow and chat with us!
Hey Mary G. You come here and shop any time you like. (:
Hope you'll stop by tomorrow and chat about Lucas and McKenna. I think I already know your favorite line. (:
LOL Christy.
I can't believe you remembered that. You are amazing.
Hi Maria! Congrats on the wins! How very exciting!
Thanks for the recommends! And I totally agree. Though I love the convenience of an e-reader, there's nothing like the feel and smell of a real book. Absolutely love it!
So glad you're looking forward the the SWEET books. Hope you'll come back tomorrow for a LAST CHANCE discussion.
Had a great relaxing weekend without anything going on. Love those weekends. Been on a historical kick with Jennifer Ashley and a romantic suspence with Kaylea Cross (a HOTTTT Luke)and then an awesome friend that I went on vacation with (she is a bookaholic too)got all absorbed in this Syfy alien book. Well I just had to get a peek so when she finally let me hold her e-reader well before I knew it I was buying the series by Evageline Anderson. All in all a great weekend and weeks.
Thanks for telling me about the prequel to Edge of Sight! I will look for it now.
