Recommend Monday!

Good Monday All!

Hope you had a fabulous week and an even better weekend. And really really hope you've got some delicious recommended reads!

Wanted to say a special thank you to Crystal for posting a great blog last week. Loved seeing your auto-buy authors and sincerely appreciate you putting me on your list! Remember, if you'd like to guest blog, email me at christy@christyreece.com and let's chat!

The Reece household is in the midst of new puppyhood and my poor hubby is living the Marley and Me experience. Our new addition, Andy, is about 80 pounds of love, energy and playfulness. Sadly, our two girls, who weigh less than a fourth his weight, can intimidate him. Andy's about a year old and was abandoned and abused. It's going to take lots of loving tenderness and patience to make him feel like one of the family. He has a wonderfully gentle disposition and we're so happy to add him to our family of fur. When I get back from my trip, I'll take some photos and post them.

Writing went well last week and I'm happy to report that Zach and Savannah are fully cooperating. I'm falling deeper in love with these characters. Zach especially! Such a sigh worthy hero!

I finished up my Rita contest reading and since I'm headed to NYC, I'm looking forward to a great plane ride read. Any suggestions?

Okay, that's it for me. I'm headed back to the land of make believe and though there's a murderer afoot, Zach and Savannah are up to the task. Justice will prevail!

Can't wait to see what you're recommending today. Have a great week everyone!

Currently reading Unstoppable by Suzanne Brockmann......It is different and for some unknown reason I am struggling to get through it. But I am determined to finish it. I know that the story will come together in the end. I read the If you hear her, see her, know her trilogy last week. I love the fact that the story was so well interwoven between the 3 books one could never tell who the bad guy was. And believe me he was really bad!
I also read His Comfort and Joy and Beauty and the Black Sheep by Jessica Bird. There will be more in this series. It centers around a family and a struggling bed and breakfast. I believe the next book will be about the brother who is suffering from un-requited love.
Christy enjoy your trip.
Happy reading!

Over the weekend read both of Debra Webb's Faces of Evil books- Obsession and Impulse. Can definately recommend these. Also read Kat Martin's latest book Against The Night and started Jami Alden's Run From Fear. As always Kat's book was a good read and Alden's book is good but find a little slow to get into. As for the new pup being intimidated by the little dogs that is par for the course. Good luck with the new dog

I just finished reading Time Out by Jill Shalvis. Loved it as I do all her books but wished it were a little longer. Also read Forged in Fire which I really liked. Action-packed and couldn't put it down. The ending though was crazy--the story just ended with no resolution to anything! I definitely want to read the next book to find out what happens to all the characters, but I'm not liking the whole cliffhanger thing:(.

Hi Christy!

This past week I read the first three books in Elizabeth Hoyt's Maiden Lane series (Wicked Intentions, Notorious Pleasures, and Scandalous Desires), it started off a little slow for me, but it got better with each book.

Yesteday I read the last book in Shiloh Walker's Ash Trilogy...If You Know Her, what a great series. She kept me wondering about the villian until the end!

Right now I'm reading Sarah Maclean's A Rogue By Any Other Name and loving it :)

Have a good week everyone!

Happy Monday everyone! I don't have a lot of recommends this week, but I did read Gentle Warrior by Julie Garwood. It wasn't my favorite by Julie, but it was still worth my time reading.
Christy I feel your puppy pain. It is a good thing the little rascals are so darn cute. lol Our new addition should be able to come home with us next weekend. We are all trying our best to come up with a name for her. She is an Alaskan Malamute/Husky. We have this weird thing about naming our pets after TV characters. I am liking the name Piper (she is the actress from Coyote Ugly) It isn't set in stone yet so who knows what she will end up being called. :) Many flavorful names by the time she is no longer a puppy doing puppy things I'm sure.
Well I should get back to packing and cleaning. The story of my life. :) Have a great week everyone!

Hi Christy, hi Everyone,
Christy, congratulations to your newest family member - I am sure Andy will soon be getting used to your fur kids and no longer be intimidated by them.Looking forward to those photos.

I read the last book in Shiloh Walkers Ash trilogy last week and I really didn´t figure out who the villain was before it was reveiled. Maybe the Ash trilogy would be just right for a long plane ride Christy.

Currently I am reading "Against the night" by Kat Martin and have to rush it because Jami Aldens " Run from Fear" was delivered today and I am tempted to start it right away.

Have a great time in NYC Christy and happy reading Everyone!

So last week I read Whispers in the Dark by Linda Castillo, it;s a little older, but it was good. Against the Law by Kat Martin, I got started a little late on this series so I am curently reading Against the Storm. Also did a re-read of Prey by Linda Howard. I was looking for something a little diffrent so I read Pride Mates by Jennifer Ashley, it was good, I thing I will continue with this series.
I have been wanting to read Midnight Sins by Lora Leigh but have read some reviews that haven't been great. So I was wondering if any of you ladies have read it? And if so whats the verdict?
Have a wonderful Monday!

Hi Christy!
Hope you and the puppy are doing well. If you need anyone to come and stay with me for a short respite, I vote for Zach to come and hang out with me!!! haha

My recommends are Against the Night by Kat Martin and Run from Fear by Jami Alden. Both were really good. I didn't get to read anything else. I was in London last week and we had a dance competition all weekend long. I stayed home today as I'm coming down with a cold, but sadly, even reading is too much for me right now!! boo!

Hi Christy.....Currently i'm reading "I'm Watching You" by Karen Rose. Read the 3 previous novels and they have you guessing till the end.
With all the love your family has to offer Andy he'll feel like a Reece in no time. They sense early how much they're loved and appreciate it very much.

Better late than never! Hope everyone had a great Monday. I had a lovely day enjoying the sunny 76 degree weather in our town.

My favorite rec today is an older contemporary by Theresa Weir titled "Amazon Lily." It was a delightful read and I thoroughly enjoyed every page. Ash, the hero, has won a place on my all-time favorite heroes list. He's captivating and yummy! And the heroine isn't too shabby either - she's got lots of spunk! This book is d-lish and the romance unforgettable.

I'm also doing another buddy read on Goodreads. This time it's Diana Gabaldon's "Outlander." The hoopla over this book has always piqued my interest. Although I've tried several times before to read this book, I always put it aside and never made it. This time is not a fun or enjoyable read for me but I WILL FINISH!!

Have a good week - can't wait to see the pics of Andy!

Hey Everyone! Sorry I'm so late checking in. I finally made it to NYC but my Internet service is very spotty. Will try to get it fixed and come back for a longer visit.

There were so many great recommends from you guys this week. I hope they were as beneficial for you as they were for me.

I'm reading an awesome book that was recommended here several weeks ago. Can't wait to finish it and come back tell you how much I enjoyed it!
