Recommend Monday

Happy Monday All!

Sorry I'm late today. It's chilly outside and it took longer for me to start up this morning. Love snuggling with my fur-angels on cold mornings. And speaking of fur-angels, I'm so pleased to announce that Blossom is doing wonderfully well. She can see again! She's still in the recovery stage and her vision will slowly improve over the next six weeks. But just one week is a major improvement. And she's getting her spunk and sass back, which I have so missed. Thank you all for your prayers and good thoughts. They worked! And are much appreciated!

So are you in the path of the Franken-storm? If so, please be safe. Every time I turn on the news, it's like I'm watching a sci-fi movie. I know Sandy has already caused death and destruction along her path to the U.S. but I'm hoping and praying she'll peter out and not cause the havoc that's being predicted. If you're anywhere near where she will cause problems, my thoughts and prayers for you and yours!

Last week, in between tears and fears for my fur-angel, I spent much of my time finishing up copyedits for MIDNIGHT SECRETS. I also wrote on both MIDNIGHT LIES and a few pages of CHANCES ARE.

Have I mentioned the cover of CHANCES ARE to you? It's a completely different kind of cover than my first 9 LCR books. I hope to reveal it to you soon. I've shown it to a few people who describe it as beautiful and very very sexy. I hope it's not so out there that people will be discouraged from buying it. However, the cover is a scene straight out of the story and I will admit, when I saw it, I loved it. But there's this straight-laced side of me that fears I'll shock you. Anyway, I'll show it to you soon and let you tell me what you think.

Although I'm not going to be able to get CHANCES ARE out to you by the year's end, I do plan to have it for you early next year. However, I have to finish my contracted book first. MIDNIGHT LIES, the second book in my Ella Grace series, has surprised me with its many twists and turns. I can't wait for you to read it and I am so in love with the hero, Quinn Braddock, I can't see straight. (:

Once I'm finished with ML, I'll get back to Jake and Angela's story. I left them in a dangerous situation and I'm anxious to see if they survived!

Okay enough about me. Tell me about you. What are you reading, what are you recommending and what are you looking forward to buying on release day tomorrow? I've seen lots of posts on Facebook about tomorrow's releases. Looks like lots of awesome ones are coming out. What are you most looking forward to reading?

Just a reminder that I'm posting a Midnight Tale over on my Ella Grace site every Friday, so be sure to check them out when you can. You'll learn lots of tidbits about the town of Midnight and some of her most interesting characters. Also, be sure to sign up for my Ella Grace newsletter. The first day of each month, beginning November 1, I'll choose a subscriber at random to receive a $10 bookstore gift card.

Okay, that's it for me. I'm headed to Midnight where the holiday festivities are about to get explosive! Now tell us what we should be reading!

Hi Christy! Hi Everyone!

This past weekend we finally got to put our house back together after getting our wood floors refinished. They had to take out our stove to fix the floors, it will be so nice to get back to our normal routine and not have to eat out every meal.

I read some really good books last week...The Perfect Game by J. Sterling, Just Remember to Breath By Charles Sheehan-Miles and Fall From Grace by Christine Zolendz. Jackie recommended the last two and I liked them so much I think I'll read whatever Jackie tells me to from now on :) LOL!

Hope everyone stays safe from Frankenstorm!

I have a couple that I have just finished. I just finished Reflected In You by Sylvia Day. Great read, much better than the first. Can't wait for the 3rd book.
I also just finished an ARC of Twas' the Night After Christmas by Sabrina Jeffries. I also very much loved this one. Pierce is a great character from Hellions series. I liked his character and so glad she gave him his own book. I am no going to start reading Enforcer's Redemption by Carrie Ann Ryan. Even though I have not read it yet, I am recommending the previous books from this series. 1st book is Alpha's Mate, A Taste for a Mate, Trinity Bound, and A Night Away.
Those are mine. Next week will have some more.

So glad Blossom is doing better!

Alison, your floors look awesome. We desperately need to have our wood floors refinished too!

We're hunkered down for Frankenstorm. So far, so good, but the worst is supposed to be later today and through the night. Fortunately, school was cancelled and the fed govt is shut down too, so no work for me!

I read a couple books that I didn't like this week, so no recommends. I'm in the middle of a new author Jennifer Lowery and the book is called Hard Core. I'm about half way through and I'm really liking it.

Stay safe East Coasters!!

Hi Christy, praying for everyone affected by Sandy. I'm really looking forward to Scorched by Laura Griffin, out tomorrow, she's a terrific author. I recently read The You I Never Knew by Susan Wiggs, so good! Currently I'm into Crazy In Love by Lani Diane Rich, it has a sarcastic old lady ghost, perfect for this time of year!

Happy Halloween to All!

Christy - so glad Blossom is recovering so well! Second, don't stress over the cover for "Last Chance" -- it's just perfect and everyone is going to LOVE it!

Last week's recs for me are Robyn Carr's 20th addition to her Virgin River Series. "My Kind of Christmas" was a super uplift for me and perfect for getting into the holiday mood.

I also read "One Night With A Hero" by Laura Kaye. Sexy and very well done. Also "Take This Regret" by A.L. Jackson was a very good and touching story.

Finally, I've heard that Brenda Novak's new "When Snow Falls", the first book in her new Whiskey Creek series, is well-worth the read so it's up next for me.

To everyone on the East Coast facing the wrath of Sandy, STAY SAFE!

(Darned no-edit feature. Sorry.) I just finished Suzanne Enoch's regencies, "A Beginner's Guide to Rakes," and "Rules to Catch a Devilish Duke." I had such a good time with them that I've ordered the book that fits between the two. I also finished an award-winning paranormal that shall remain nameless (unless you read my blog). Meh.

Yay!!! For Blossom!

You hear that Christy? Alison says "I think I'll read whatever Jackie tells me to from now on"!!!!

The Perfect Game by J. Sterling (Alison recommended this to me)

Just Remember to Breath by Charles Sheehan-Miles, All I can say is the man did a perfect job. It was a beatiful AWESOME romance.
Fall From Grace and Saved By Grace by Christine Zolendz. There is paranormal but it blends so well and the story is so intense. You will be bawling and then get to SLOWLY FREAK OUT. Two part story.

13 rachey christy .. m kinda new to e blogger ! :P have my own blog but i hardly write these days !!!
anyway this week i have been reading the last book of the TVD:the hunters:destiny rising!
well there was a time when lj smith used to be my favourite author and i was curious so i moved ahead and red the last book .. by the ghostwriter ... for a standalone book the writer did a good job in patching everything up but the tvd series is just lost to me so is the characters ... too many glitches and it seems more like the tv series than the real books

i am preparing to read "can love happen twice" by ravinder singh . he is an indian author and his first book was a tear jerk er for me that was "i too had a love story" so this weekend m gonna go back to some old books and refresh my memories .. also looking forward to read becca fitzpatricks hush hush series "finale" !!!

Hi Christy, I just finished a very intense series by CJ Roberts, Captive in the Dark and Seduced in the Dark. Wow! Very, very good, but super intense.

Take care!

Hi Christy, I'm a huge fan of yours. I have read all your LCR books and couldn't get enough!! You have a wonderful gift for story telling. I'm honored that you share your gift with us.
Yesterday I thought I'd check to see if you were on facebook, sure enough you were. That was where I found out you also write as Ella Grace. YIPPEE, twice the wonderful books!! I immediately got on Amazon to see what was available and was very sad to see MIDNIGHT SECRETS is not available for pre-order for the Kindle. :-(
Since May of 2004 I have had 12 back operations, now I have a Spinal Cord Stimilator AND a Morphine pain pump implants. All of that has made me disabled and unable to work. Before having back surgery I was a career woman in management as well as having a family. Between my career and my family I had next to no time for reading. Since then I have become an avid reader. Two years ago my husband bought me a Kindle and I love it!! Now I purchase only ebooks. I was disappointed that MIDNIGHT SECRETS is not available for the Kindle. Do you know if it will be? I hope so. Thank you again for sharing your gift and stories with us your fans.

Wow, wow, wow! What great recommends you all gave last week. I hope everyone picked up a couple, a few, or lots of good book suggestions. I know I did!

Thank you all again for the warm words and wishes for Blossom. She is doing amazingly well and has her sass back. And she's back to ruling the household. (:

So excited to see several new commenters to the blog. I hope you guys will come back each week and share your great reads with us. And a very special thank you to our regular commenters. You guys are the ones that made Recommend Monday so successful. We have 20 times more views than we do commenters, so be assured that your recommends are being read.

Special note to:

Sue, thank you so much your kind words. I'm thrilled you're reading and enjoying the Last Chance Rescue series!

Kathy, wow, I can't imagine 12 back operations. I hope reading takes you away from your pain.

Thank you for reading my entire LCR series. I'm thrilled you've enjoyed them. And I sincerely appreciate you wanting to pre-order MIDNIGHT SECRETS. Pre-ordering is so very important to authors. MIDNIGHT SECRETS will most definitely be on eBook. The buy button just hasn't been added to the online sites yet. Be sure to keep an eye on this blog because when it goes up, I'll announce it here.

Okay, I'm headed over to post a new blog. Come on over and share your great reads from last week!
