Recommend Monday!

Good Monday All!

Hope you had a good weekend. After almost two solid weeks of rain and clouds, our weather here has turned lovely--sunny and 60ish--which makes me ache for Springtime. However, I do hope we get a few more frigid days. Is there anything better than curling up with a good book in front of a roaring fire? LOL Okay, there are a few things that are better but that's right up there, don't you think?

Last week was a pivotal week for Jake and Angela. Hearts were broken, lives were in danger, villains ran rampant. This week I'm hoping for some healing for Jake and Angela and a major comeuppance for one very nasty villain.

As I mentioned on Facebook, CHANCES ARE is over 42,000 words and still going strong, which means it's going to be much longer that a typical novella. Hope that's okay with everyone! I have to write until the end and so far, I haven't seen it! (:

I have a recommendation! Last week I read a book that's been on my shelf forever by new to me author JT Ellison. 14, A Taylor Jackson novel. I enjoyed it and definitely want to read more. It's not the first book in the series but I don't think it inhibited the story at all. Not a lot of romance but still a wonderful hero and heroine to root for. And not too gritty for those who shy away from heavy suspense books. A good, solid read!

I was excited to see that Ella Grace's MIDNIGHT LIES is now up for pre-order. Only on Amazon so far and just the paperback. When the eBook and B&N's buttons go up, I'll post those links. Here's the Amazon link: MIDNIGHT LIES.

Do you have a favorite comfort food? If so, be sure to come by Ella's Midnight Tales blog on Friday where Faye of Faye's Diner will be sharing one of her favorite comfort food recipes. I have a couple of ARCs of MIDNIGHT SECRETS up for grabs.

Okay, that's it for me. I'm headed to London today where I'm going to do my best to fix things between Jake and Angela. Wish me luck!

Now, tell us what we should be reading!

Morning Christy, I can recommend Kathleen Brooks Bluegrass series, really good romantic supsense books. The newest was just released.

Greetings from snowy Germany

Hi Everyone!

I definitely won't complain about CHANCES ARE being longer than a typical novella :)

Last week I tried new to me author Joanna Wylde's Reaper's Property. I really enjoyed it, it wasn't as rough as Undeniable by Madeline Sheehan, but it was rougher than Kristen Ashley's Motocycle Man.

Last night I finally started my first Allison Brennan book, The Prey, only a few chapters in but liking it so far.

Have a good week everyone!

Hi all!

Missed the last couple of weeks, so Happy New Year, and belated congratulations to the winners of Christy's contest!

I'll admit I hit a reading slump over the holidays and took a break, but with the New Year and two weeks of travel, I am back in the reading game!

Last week I finished the second in the Shiloh Walker trilogy, If You Know Her. I love that this series keeps the villan a secret until the third book. I am reading the final book now and can't wait to see it all come together.

Well that's my recommend for the week.

Alison, I can't wait to check out Reapers Property, sounds like a great read. And I really like Alison Brennan, hope you do also.

Going to enjoy the rest of my day off. Have a great week everyone!

Just want to thank Dannyfiredragon for recommending Kathleen Brooks. I had not heard of her and just picked up the first in her series, A Bluegrass State of Mind free for the Kindle on Amazon. Thanks!

Well, I've just been flat out too busy and have not read much. I did start reading Aftershock by Jill Sorenson based on last week's recommend from Christy. I started it 3 days ago and I'm only about 20% in!! Very frustrating because I can usually finish a book in 2 days or less! I need some "me" time and I don't foresee it any time in the future!. :(

Hi Christy and Everyone!
Christy- as I am currently shoveling snow three times a day I am quite envious to hear about the weather in Alabama.

Last week I read Christy´s recommend "Aftershock" and it triggered a search for more books by Jill Sorenson. I started "Set the Dark on Fire" yesterday and so far its pretty good.

Hi Dannyfiredragon, its good to meet a fellow German here on Rec.Monday. I have to check out Kathleen Brooks.

Alison, if you like Allison Brennons "The Prey" you should also try "The Hunt" and "The Kill" - I read them some time ago but I remember I could not put them down and after reading those books Allison Brennon became an auto buy for me.

I am looking forward to tomorrows release of Cindy Gerards new book "Killing Time, the first in her new One eyed Jack series.

Happy reading Everyone!

Hi All,

Read Shades of Gray by Maya Banks. I liked it but it was a bit rough. Usually like the whole KGI group. Looking forward to Forged in Steele in June.

Reading Someone To Watch Over Me by Judith McNaught. Really like it so far.

Have a good week everyone and happy reading!

Christy- Can't wait for Chances Are.
I wish it was in the 60's here, heck i would take the 40's. We haven't been over the 20 degree mark in weeks.
So I missed last week, my internet was out.
So I have two weeks worth of recommends:
Big Sky River by Linda Leal Miller, Back to You by Robin Kaye, Perfect Fit by Carly Phillips, Can't help falling in love by Bella Andre, From this Moment on by Bella Andre and Running Wild by Linda Howard and Linda W. Jones. All were good books.

Christy- I got my Kindle last week and it has been so much fun, thanks!

Happy Reading!!!

You won't find me complaining if Chances Are" is on oversized novella!! I just can't wait to get Angela and Jake's story in my hands!!!!

I just finished "Collide" by a new-to-me author, Gail McHugh. It is definitely one of the best contemporary romances I've read in a long time. Of course, I was left with a cliffhanger and will have to wait several months for the next installment. However, I think the best is yet to come in this one.

Back to the television and more of the celebration in Washington, D.C. I've watched all day long!

Hope everyone has a good week of fabulous reading experiences.
