The day Rescue Me was released, I had a terrible upper respiratory infection and stayed in bed most of the day coughing my head off. Even as sick as I was, I wouldn't change a thing about that day. It was so very fine. :)
Five years of being a published author has been a wonderful, mind-blowing journey. There have been joys, disappointments, regrets, and excitement beyond anything I'd ever imagined. Even though we've parted ways, I will always be grateful to my agent for taking on a newbie author who knew next to nothing about the business and my publisher for not only buying my first book, but subsequently publishing eight more in that series and two others of another series. Getting anywhere in this business is often a team effort and their support made all the difference.
