Recommend Monday!

Hey Everyone!

So sorry to be late today. My Internet was down for several hours this morning but it finally got fixed and now I can't wait to hear your recommendations!

No recommends from me again this week. Revisions on SWEET REVENGE continue. Jamie and Dylan are coming along much better and I'm hoping to finish things up in the next week or so. Got to say that I'm really anxious to get back to SWEET JUSTICE and see what's going on with Honor and Seth. Last time I checked in on them, things were getting quite heated!

I do have news. My release dates for SWEET REVENGE and SWEET JUSTICE have been decided. My publisher is going with more time between releases, so no back to back releases this time, but I'm quite excited about how they'll be spread out. SWEET REVENGE will be a May 2011 release, SWEET JUSTICE will be released September 2011 and SWEET REWARD is scheduled for early 2012. So lots of SWEET stories to look forward to!

Once I've finished up with revisions, be on the lookout for some SWEET treats. It's been a while since I've had any contests and giveaways, so stay tuned!

Okay, that's it for me. I'm headed back to the land of Jamie and Dylan and a mean, evil, nasty villain.

Hope everyone has a wonderful week! Don't forget to tell us what we should be reading!

Hey all!
I read a couple of non-romance books this week, and was a bit disappointed in them. My younger son told me I should stick to 'Reece's Peeces' books because they make you happy.' LOL
I did finish Michelle Perry's Three Motives for Murder, which was fairly good. I just started Nora Roberts' new book The Search, and so far it is great. I'm also planning to continue my reread of the LCR books. I've just recently finished the first trilogy - again. So I'm off to read NO CHANCE.

YAY for Jamie and Dylan behaving! They certainly gave you a run for it, so it's about time they (uh, HE) shaped up. ;-)

I started the week by visiting with Eden and Jordan. Quite fun to run into them again. Then I read Marie Force's LINE OF SCRIMMAGE which was a fun read. I love football, so I went from there to SEP's Heaven TX. I am ready for some FOOTBALLLLLLL!!!
:-)

Glad your internet is back up and running Christy, I missed you this morning.

xoxo

KK! I'm LOL @ Aaron advising you to stick with your "Reece's Peeces' Books because they make you happy!" What a guy!

I thought of you Conrads when I was cooking the other day. I have another of Ronlyn's Recipe's for you.

Hello everyone,

Last week,I read Christine Feehan's Water Bound. I really enjoyed it. I like that she is doing a series based on the other six Prakenskii brothers; related to Ilya who married Joley.

I read Sharie Kohler's Marked by Moonlight--good read. It was my first time (a) reading her book and (b) actually reading the first book of a series! LOL ---(B) was a fluke and won't happen again!

I re-read, Last Chance, which made me want to re-read Second Chance and I had to pick No Chance back up! Then, I really needed to read Run To Me, Return To Me and Rescue Me....Then I checked to see if Christy had put an excerpt on her website of her next upcoming book...hint, hint..LOL

Tell Dylan and Jamie I said hi! Happy to see those release dates, but wish it was today instead!! :-)

Last week I read Death Echo by Elizabeth Lowell. It was just okay (and I usually love her books). I also read The Bodyguard (Temptation on Ice, Temptation in Shadows, and Hunting Temptation). I'm usually not a huge fan of paranormal or the short stories, but I read and enjoyed all three stories in this book!

Hello everyone - It wasn't a busy book week for me, I have been sick and seeing 2 of everything really isn't conducive to reading. But I did get through a couple.

I read Suzanne Brockmann's The Defiant Hero. I really like this series. I am so glad I found it. Now I just have to hunt down the rest of them. I really can't wait to see what happens to Sam & Alyssa.

I also read Jull Shalivs' Slow Heat. I am pretty sure this is a series book, and I don't think it was the first. I really hate that, to get a book and realize it is several down the line in a series - URGH. BUT, this was a really cool book, all about baseball.

To round out the week, I finished Erin McCarthy's racecar series Hot Finish. I really enjoyed this series. Her writing style reminds me of Rachel Gibson.

I am in the middle of Hell Yeah by Carolyn Brown. This is the second in the series, and I do love it. Some of the "country" speak is a little cheesy and coming from the south, I KNOW we don't talk like that on purpose, but it is a series I would recommend.

I hope everyone has a great week.

Hi.

I have done a lot of reading. I am to addicted to Big Brother right now. (Been staying up to watch after dark).

The book I have been reading now is Blown Away by Sharon Sala. I am almost done and it is a great book. I can't wait to get into the other two books of the series.

Happy writing Christy. I am kinda sad the next series is gonna be so far apart but it is better then a year between the books so I will just deal with it. lol.

Happy reading all.

I read Cara Elliot's "To Surrender to a Rogue" and Linda Conrad's "Covert Agent's Virgin Affair." I can't wait to read Dylan and Jamie's story.

Hey, Kara! You know I think your sons are brilliant and once again, it's proven. Definitely stick to 'Reece's Peece's' books to make you happy. (:

Thanks for rereading the first trilogy and NO CHANCE! Hope you enjoy your visit with the LCR gang again. Also, hope you find some great recommends here to get you back to the 'happy' books!

Have a great week!

Hey Ronlyn, you are so right. Jamie and Dylan have definitely given me a run for it. Seems like when one finally starts acting right, the other one misbehaves. And then there's that dastardly villain! But I think we're all on the same page now!

Thanks for rereading RESCUE ME. Hope you enjoyed your visit with Eden and Jordan! And sounds like you are definitely ready for some football. Maybe next week, we should do a theme recommendation so we can get everyone ready for their favorite sport or theme of choice.

I'm happy my Internet is behaving too. It's one of those things you don't realize how much you depend on until it doesn't work. Such a relief to have it up and running again.

Have a great week!

Hey Linda! Thanks for the great recommends. I've read most of Christine Feehan's Dark series, but sounds like this is another series of hers I need to check out. And I've not heard of Sharie Kohler. Will definitely look her up too!

So you started a reread of the LCR books starting with LAST CHANCE? Too funny! Thank you for rereading them. I hope you enjoy them again!

No excerpt ready for SWEET REVENGE yet. Hopefully in the next month or so though. Stay tuned! Thanks so much for wanting to read more!

Have a great week!

Hey Kris! Will give Jamie and Dylan your regards. They have become quite the pair and I do love them both (when I'm not wanting to scream at them, that is).

The Bodyguard. Was that an anthology by several authors? I have a tendency to not want short stories either, (love a longer read) but with my reading time severely limited, maybe I need to rethink short stories. Also, I have a short LCR story I'm working on for next year. Would be a good idea to read more short stories for research. (: I do love my job!

Have a great week!

Hey Hope! Thanks so much for the recommended reads. I adored The Defiant Hero! And you'll love Sam and Allysa's book. I was fortunate to be working for Borders when their book was about to be released and I got an advanced reading copy of it. LOL I almost cried, I was so happy. The next year, at the RWA conference, I had her sign it for me. It's a treasured possession for sure!

Have a great week and feel better!

Hey Sarah! Oh, I love Sharon Sala's books. She definitely puts the reader through the emotional wringer!

I'm hoping that with the extra time between books, I'll be able to have time to do add a few more things to my website, such as deleted scenes (have several I'm dying to share with you all, when I get some time). Also, I'd love to do more character interviews and if possible, have a few more guest authors come by and visit. We'll see!

However, I am so glad you're anxious to read them! I love that!

Have a great week!

Hey Jane! Thanks for the recommended reads!

I'm so glad you're looking forward to Jamie and Dylan's story. Hope to share more about them soon to get you even more excited to read their book. (:

Have a great week!

I'm late! It was a crazy day yesterday!!
I didn't have much luck at all last week. I started 4 books, but ended up putting them down because they didn't grab me fast enough...BUT no worries I got to reread a couple LCR books so I got my fix. :)
Have a great week everyone!

Hi Christy!

Well would have loved back-to-backs bit then would have had a longer wait for the next books, right?

Just returned from 12 days in france and we had a great time.

Managed to squeeze in some reading. Finished Julia quinn's To Catch and Heiress and enjoyed it. Read Elizabeth Hoyt's Wicked Intentions and loved it too.

Now I am reading my first Leslie Parrish - Fade to Black - and i am hooked!

Christy Reece said...

Hey Crystal! Hope your reading goes better for you this week but thanks for doing some LCR rereads. You know that news always makes me smile.

Have a wonderful day!

Christy Reece said...

Hey Luci! Oh, 12 days in France sounds so wonderful! And actually sounds like a great romance title too. (:

Thanks for pointing out one of the good things of not having back to back releases. Having three released, boom, boom, boom, can be fun, but then, there's a whole year or more of waiting for another book. I think this way will work quite nicely.

The recommends sound great. I've read Quinn's To Catch a Heiress and adored it! Will add Hoyt's book to my list. I have Parrish's Fade to Black and need to get to it. Have heard so many fabulous things about this trilogy.

Have a great day, Luci!

I have been reading a seris by Michael Phillips called Carolina Cousins. I read the 1st seris, Shenadoah Sisters and it was really great. I'm on the 2nd book of the new seris and it's just as good. I highly recommend.
