Hope your weekend was fabulous!
I'm in the midst of Honor and Seth's story, SWEET JUSTICE. Loving this couple...their chemistry is amazing! With that said, deadline looms and I'm on the precipice. So please forgive the short post. I just have one question for you today.
What book do you want everyone to read?
Also, remember to come back on Friday to start our Fun, Frivolous and Freebie Friday!
Have a wonderful week and I'll see you back here on Friday!

Everyone MUST read Pamela Clare.
and that's all I have to say on that. ;-)
Right now I am reading Edge of Fear by Cherry Adair -- was a slow reading week for me.
Happy Fall ladies. I love this time of year. This past weekend was our local Harvest Fair. Out of all the fairs we go to every year (and we go to a lot since my husband is an FFA advisor and Ag teacher) Harvest Fair is my favorite. The smells, the music the food...
This week, I had pretty good luck with my book selections. I finished book 3 & 4 in the Troubleshooter series by Suzanne Brockmann - Over the Edge and Out of Control. I am LOVING this series, thanks Crystal. I can't wait to get my order from B&N for the 5th.
I also read the 5th book in the Bodyguard series by Cindy Gerard. I love this series too. I read them out of order starting with the BOI series, not knowing the bodyguard series sets up the BOI series, but they are both GREAT.
Finally, Corralled by Lorelei James. My first time with this author and the book wasn't what I thought it was going to be but it was SMOKING HOT.
I am moving on to Body Heat by Brenda Novak. I hope you all have a great week this week. Happy reading...
Ronlyn,
In my B&N order IS Pamela Clare. Thanks for the recommend.
Pam is great Hope. You'll enjoy her.
I second Ronlyn re Pamela Clare - she's great! And her books are always worth the wait!
Just like Christy's :). Good luck with SWEET JUSTICE Christy!
I have read a couple of good ones haven't read an excellent book in some time. I needed a change of style and i picked up Nora Roberts' Daring to Dream - haven't read a book of hers in ages. Hope this trilogy is good.
Good morning everyone! I'll third Ronlyn on Pamela Clare! If you've not read her books its a must!!!
Hope- this is my favorite time of year myself. I'm having a hard time finding any good harvest festivals out here. Back home there is a new one every weekend. I'm so happy your enjoying the troubleshooters series! I love the fact that there are so many books with the same people in them. I feel like I actually know them. lol By the way I did the same thing when I started reading the BOI series. I didn't realize that they linked. Enjoy your fall festivals I'm jealous! :)
I read Elizabeth Hoyts series The Legend of the Four Soldiers. Last week. To Taste Temptation, To Seduce a Sinner, To Beguile a Beast, and To Desire a Devil. I loved reading these stories!! I highly recommend them!
Have a good week everyone!!
I forgot to mention..
I have 6 Karin Slaughter books that I am going to give to the library, but if anyone on here would like them let me know I can send them to you.
Crystal, I'll take them. :-) We can do a book swap.
That sounds good Ronlyn. I'll send them to you.
psyched about honor and seth...can't wait!! you must read the new Maya Banks (The Darkest Hour). OMG...an emotional ride.
I'm working in London this week. it's freezing cold and raining (not that it really matters as I'm indoors all the time).
Hello everyone,
thanks for your warm welcome last week. There was not much time for reading, because I startet working again after our holidays, but I read Fade to black by Leslie Parrish (a new author for me) and loved it. Currently I am reading Waking the dead by Kylie Brant , also very good and after finishing this one I´m planning to read Twisted by Andrea Kane , which was recommen ded here last week.
By the way I too love the troubleshooters series and cant wait to read Izzys book .
Because it was so highly recommended here I ordered Maya Banks` The darkest hour from amazon - but I will have to wait more than four months for the delivery . I hate this but I hope it is ist worth the waiting.
Good luck with the writing, Christy. I just reread Rachel Gibson's "Sex, Lies and Online Dating," so I'll recommend any of her books.
Hey Elke-
I hate that you have to wait so long for your book, but it will definitely be worth your wait!! One of the best reads I've had lately!!
I'm currently reading Trust Me by Jayne Ann Krentz..it's older (1995) but so far it's ok. I also just started the Bullet Catcher series by Roxanne St. Clair which seems really exciting!
@Elke - The Darkest Hour is DEFINITELY worth the wait!
@Barb - stick with the Bullet Catchers, some are a little slow, but most are really great!!
Hi All!
I've been checking out your Monday recommendations for a while now, but this is my first posting :)
Thank you for all the EXCELLENT recommendations!
This week I've been reading the Louisa Edwards books...I'm on the last one now and so far they are great!
I also read the latest in Sabrina Jeffries The Hellions of Halstead Hall series…A Hellion in Her Bed. I really enjoyed it…the series follows the family of Lord Stoneville introduced in her School for Heiresses series.
I also agree that any book by Rachel Gibson or Pamela Clare is a MUST read!
Have a great week!
Welcome Barb and Alison P ;o)
Elke that is horrible you have to wait so long for the book. I bought it too on recommendation from the Reeces Peeces. I will let you know when I get to it, but honestly none of these ladies have ever steered me wrong.
Of course! (on reading PC)
I had Louisa Edwards', Jordan Dane's, and Susan Andersen's books all waiting for me at the library Saturday. Unfortunately, I haven't gotten to start any of them yet.
@ Christy - Can we PLEASE find another way to describe Seth and Honor's 'vibe' with each other? Every time you say 'chemistry' I simply cringe. My teenager has honors chemistry this semester and... see? I cringed just typing it. ;)
One book? Right!
Read:
Louisa Edwards trilogy
The Darkest Hour - Maya Banks
True Vision - Joyce Lamb
Reading Right Here, Right Now by HelenKay Dimon. Love her stuff.
Hey Everyone! Just checking in to say thanks for the great recommends. Sorry I was unclear yesterday. This was just a regular recommend Monday of what you read last week. However, with that said, I totally agree that Pamela Clare is a must read!
Welcome Barb and AllisonP to the blog. Ladies, thanks so much for posting! Hope to see you back every week and anytime you just want to say hi.
Seth and Honor took a break yesterday while the villain and I had it out. I do not believe I have ever created a more loathsome villain than this one. Want a description? Ewwww with a side order of ick and a dollop of yuck. But Seth and Honor are on the hunt and SWEET JUSTICE will come. (:
Have a good rest of the week everyone. See you back here Friday for our new contest!
Happy reading!
sorry if I added to the confusion Christy. I understood that this was the regularly scheduled Rec. Monday. But, I didn't have anything specific that I'd read to recommend, so I figured I'd rec PC. ;-)
And is it wrong that I can't wait to read about your most loathsome villian ever??
You didn't, Ronlyn, it was me. And recommending the awesome Pamela Clare is always appropriate. (:
Glad you're looking forward to meeting my villain. If he ups his ick factor any more, I may have to do even more damage to him than I'd planned!
tar and feather?
honey and red ants?
Heavy Metal torture like they do at Gitmo?
;-)
You could always condemn him to clean my house for a week. Now THAT would be torture. ;)
Hope you're enjoying your villain. I've heard from another fabulous author that the villains are the most fun to write. :)
Always happy to agree on the necessity of reading Pamela Clare's contemps and historicals! Can never ever recommend a book to someone without mentioning that author who is so near and dear to our hearts - CHRISTY!!!
Welcome to all the new bloggers!! It's so good to see new names pop up and get new recommendations from them.
Can't wait for that first SWEET book! Dylan and Jamie captured my attention early on. NOW I'm enthralled with knowing anything and everything about Seth and Honor. I think I'm going to really like their characters.
Wishing everyone a fantastic week!
Ronlyn, the ants and honey sounds pretty doggone painful. The fire ants here in Bama are horrendous. The story doesn't take place here, but maybe I can figure out a way to export them. (:
LOL Kara, I don't think you want this villain close to your house, even to clean it.
Yes, the villains are a lot of fun, this one more so than usual.
Aw, thanks, Anne. You are too SWEET!
So glad you're looking forward to the SWEET books. I can't wait for you to meet these characters either!
Enjoy your week. Hope to see you here on Friday!
I just have to update and say that I abandoned Trust me (something I almost never do) because the Bullet Catchers were calling me!!!
