SWEETest Day!

Happy SWEETest Day! (For some reason, I feel the need to add Y'all to that greeting)

What is SWEETest Day? Good question. I’ve never observed it before. Have you?

Here’s what I copied from Wikepedia:

Sweetest Day is an observance celebrated primarily in the Great Lakes region, and parts of the Northeast United States, on the third Saturday in October.[1] It is described by Retail Confectioners International as an "occasion which offers all of us an opportunity to remember husbands, boyfriends, the sick, aged and orphaned, but also friends, relatives and associates whose helpfulness and kindness we have enjoyed."[2] Sweetest Day has also been referred to as a "concocted promotion" created by the candy industry solely to increase sales of sweets.[3]

I kind of believe the second definition/explanation, but really like the first one. So either way, it’s SWEETest Day!

Today, I’m using it to celebrate the SWEET trilogy! And when I celebrate, I always want to give something away. So there’s the deal, for a chance to win a signed copy of both SWEET JUSTICE and SWEET REVENGE and a $10 Barnes and Noble gift card, name your favorite LCR heroine and why you love her.

I’ll collect comments all weekend and will announce the winner on Recommend Monday.

Have a great SWEETest day, everyone!

Well my favorite is easy for me - it's Honor, because unfortunately that's the only book I've read but I hope to remedy that soon, especially if I win. Though even if I don't I have plans to make my way through the whole series!

Happy Sweetest Day (which I have never heard of either).

M fave is Samara Lyons because I would love to do what she did when she was going after all those on-line predators. People who hide behind their computer screens to entice a child or even adults make me ill.

Sorry - I forgot to put why amongst my gushing - I liked Honor because she was strong no matter what, but yet she knew when to lean on Seth when she had too. She was the ultimate heroine to me.

Yeah Thank you so my for your sweet Give-Away! I just finished reading your series and can't wait for the next.

I couldn't settle one favorite LCR character I have to give 2. McKenna and Jaime.Talk about Awesome Sisters! I loved them to a T! I loved McKenna for her tough persona but yet soft edge she has for her Hero and only her Hero. Btw! Lucas was perfect for her in everyway. As for Jaime, I know she wasn't an LCR operator, but she could have been. She was a soft, lovable and such a vulnerable character, but yet in "Sweet Revenge" she didn't give up and hide under a rock. She defines the definition of a strong heroic character. I myself wouldn't be up and going as fast as she did. And!!! Outta all people to become her Hero, she snagged up Dylan. He was a tough cookie to crack, but he is and always be,one of my all time favorite Heroe in this series.

You did a amazing job by creating a world with such depth, every novel was intriguing, thrilling, and yet so very sweet. Great Job! I can not wait for the last installment to this series. Although I'm sad that it's all over, it's a series I will never forget.

It is hard to chose and I haven't read all the LCR books yet but I think of the ones I have read my favorite is Eden. She overcame so much but never waivered in what she really wanted...or should I say who she wanted :-)

Samara is my favorite...but I think you already knew that. ;-) Why? Because she's kick ass in a little package.

I love Honor for so many reasons, but at least partly because she never quite gave up on Seth. But all your heroines (and the heroes) are amazing in their own ways. :-)

Hi Christy! My favorite LCR is McKenna. I love her because after all she went through, she was able to get past it and open her heart to love. Taking down bad guys is a plus too ;)

I so needed something to SWEETen this day. This will work nicely.
Eden is the original LCR heroine, so I have to mention her. She will always be the first picture that pops into my mind when LCR is mentioned. However, I do have to give a shout out to my girl Jamie. A smart mouthed teacher? Yeah, I can relate to that!
Hope you have a SWEET day, Christy.

HAPPY SWEETEST DAY!

Although I think each and every one of the LCR heroines are SWEET♥s, I'll give Eden the bid because as the first, she truly was abused, beaten down to zero level and overcame it all with such a ferocious spirit! Her story of success still puts a big smile on my face! SWEET!!

Me Too. I live in thelake Ontario area & I haven't heard of this either. It's tough to pick because I love them all but McKenna stayed with me the longest so far but then again it's only been a month for Honor and I'm still reading Jamie.

Hey All! Just checking in to say thank you. I'm loving all these comments about LCR heroines. You know I love them all equally, but it's going to be fun to see who turns out to be the the favorite. I kind of feel bad for Mia since you guys haven't met her yet. I have a feeling she's going to be right up there with your favorites. She's so much fun!

Hope everyone is having a SWEET day! Chat with you all Monday!

Oh please don't make me pick just one! I love them all. If I must pick only one I'll say Jamie because of her determination. With or without being trained she was going to get the job done.

Eden, Shea & McKenna (couldn't narrow it down to just one). These ladies went thru hell and came back stronger for their ordeals, with a huge capacity for love!

Honor, because she has SPUNK! :)

I'm.currently re reading all your LCR books and just started Second Chance. I Think Eden has left the biggest impression on me so far. Between her mom and the horrific attack on her, she still managed to remain a good person with a good heart and she helped others. Her character was very human and I was glad she got her happy ending.

Hey Everyone! Hope you all had a great SWEETest day!

Thanks so much for naming your favorite LCR heroine. I loved reading who they were and the reason she was your favorite.

Looks like Eden St. Claire won the top spot but Honor was a close second, with Samara, McKenna and Jamie very close thirds.

I adore all of these heroines for the very same reasons you love them.

Congrats to Crystal Fulcher for winning the top prize. Crystal, please email me at christy@christyreece.com with your mailing address.

Thanks again all for making SWEETest day extra SWEET! Be sure to stop by Recommend Monday in a few minutes and tell us what great books you read over the weekend.

See you soon!
