Recommend Monday!

Good Monday All!

Looks like the two days of winter we had is officially over. We're now in the 80's most days and have ventured near 90 a couple of times. I think it may be a long, hot summer. Which is actually great atmosphere for the first book in my new series since it takes place beneath the heat of the hot southern sun. Passion, steam, and murder. Oh my! I do believe I've just inspired myself to write today. (:

How was your weekend? Did you do anything fun or read anything wonderful? This is your place to share!

My weekend was incredibly busy but good. I wrote a lot, played a little and read some too. All in all, my favorite kind of weekend.

Thanks to everyone who came by to visit me at Romance University on Friday. Those who read my post now understand who really controls my stories! I'm hoping Agatha will be in a good mood this week.

Oh and I have a recommend! Wife By Wednesday by Catherine Bybee was a fun, quick read--just what I was looking for. I think it's .99 cents on Amazon Kindle right now!

This week, I'm concentrating on writing and also gathering some information to update my website. Things are getting a bit outdated.

That's it for me for this week. Looking forward to hearing about your recommends!

Have a great week everyone!

Hi Christy and Everyone!
Christy I am quite envious reading about the temperature in Birmingham. Here its still rather cold - although the sun is shining sometimes, there is still a really nasty wind from the sea and it doesn´t feel like spring jet. But I hope we will get there soon.

I have one redommendation this week: Lisa Kleypas´ "Rainshadow road" - I enjoyed it a lot and as it is a follow up book of "Christmas Eve in Friday Harbour" I did a reread and enjoyed it as well.

I hope Agatha will be in a good mood ( great post on RU, Christy) and you will have a productive week.

Happy reading, Everyone!

Hi,
I don't have any recommends. :(
The couple of books I read last week were just ok.

Finally got to experience a somewhat relaxing weekend. No getting up early to go to a dance competition and we enjoyed dinner Sat night with some friends we never get to see. I had to help my daughter with a project on Chief Powhatan on Sunday. I now know more than I ever wanted to about him. :-)

Happy Monday everyone. We were in San Francisco for a karate tournament. Jordan's first tournament as a black belt. He took 2 second place metals. Couldn't be happier. I am exhausted though, he plays I work, thus is life (well my life anyway lol).

I don't really have any recommends for last week. I didn't have good book mojo, this week is looking up. I am reading Hush by Cherry Adair and I really like it so far.

Have a great week everyone.

So I have a few recommends. Fools Rush in by Kristan Higgins. This was a new to me author, it was first person, normally I'm not a huge fan of first person, but I liked this book after I got used to the writing.
Run From Fear by Jamie Alden- so good I really love her books.
Christy- I have also read Wife by Wednesday- it was a really cute, fun read, and you can't beat .99 cents.
I'm in the middle of reading a few books, we'll see how hey turn out. I know I read more than these few but my brain isn't quite awake yet!

Happy Monday!!

Hi Ms.Reece,
I just finished the most amazing book called "Gabriel's Inferno" by Sylvian Reynard. It is an intense, emotional rollercoaster ride that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Its back to gorgeous weather after an extremely cold winter by Maltese standards. Was miserable :(.

Had a very lazy weekend and love it :). Lazed, read and watched my favourite team win their soccer match. Of course it ended with a four hour ironing marathon (had two weeks' worth of clothes to iron) but was still a very good one.

I am rereading Pamela Clare's Surrender for a FB discussion. I adore her historicals. Unbeatable IMO.

Just picked up Wife by Wednesday. Am now reading The Castaway Bride by Kandy Shepherd. This weekend I read a new to me series by Kathleen Brooks. Read the first two books and am completly hooked. First book is called Bluegrass State of Mind and other book is called Risky Shot. Great characters and great stories. The next book is out and a 4th book is getting ready to come out. New books coming out on tuesday like the new JR Ward and Vicki Dreiling's historical.

Hi Christy!

I'm still reading Kristen Ashley's Rock Chick series...I'm up to book 7 and really enjoying them.

I took a little side trip away from romance and read Lisa Gardner's The Neighbor...very good, kept me guessing until the very end.

Thanks to Jackie, I tried my first Sally MacKenzie book The Naked King...it was quick and enjoyable.

Have a good week everyone!

After a week away it is good to be home. On the sad side I attended the funeral of a cousin, he was taken from us way to soon. On the up side I spent the week end with 5 grandgirls from age 7-13. Not to leave them out there were 3 grandsons ages 4-18. A good time by all. I also had lots of down time waiting on different events to take place. So I was able to read! I have read all of the books out by Pamela Clair's I-Team series. Great reading. I do believe I will re-read LCR series. It will be like visiting old friends!
There is an inspirational book I read sometime ago that left an impression on me it is by Karen Kingsbury the title
Even Now / Ever After. It has been a little over a year since I have read it but the story has really stayed with me. It is about faith, forgivness, choices.....Parts will make you cry so grab your tissues if you decide to read.

Whew! I finally made it -- hi everyone.

Last week was spring break and it rained, hailed and stormed every single day except Friday afternoon. Bust for any outside activities with kids. Hurray for the aquarium, library, movies and play dates with friends at Bounce U.

I read a wonderful book last week that surprised me because I was really reluctant to try it. "On the Island" by Tracey Garvis-Graves is a beautifully written story of survival, trust, and love. This book caught me by the heartstrings and I could not quit reading until I finished the last word. A bonus in the unforgettable epilogue that brought it full circle. I love those little extras.

Christy - I certainly hope you and the "amusing" Miss Agatha had a positive meeting of the minds today. The RU blog was delightful and good news, too (in more ways than one!).

Wishing everyone good reads this week!

Hey All! Awesome recommends this week. I'm going to check out several of them. You guys are the best at finding the most fabulous reads!

Elke, I wish I could send you some of our warm sunshine. I have a feeling by mid June, we're going to be wishing for the weather you have right now.

Kris, so glad to hear about your relaxing weekend. You so deserve some. And nice to know if I need to get information about Chief Powhatan, I know where to go!

Hope, huge congrats to Jordan! Oh, I loved Cherry Adair's Hush. In fact, I believe it's a finalist in the Rita contest!

KC, I discovered Kristan Higgins a couple of years ago and fell in love with her writing. I don't read a lot of contemporary romance or first person but she got me a lot closer to being a fan of both. She's simply amazing!

Gail, wow, that sounds exactly the kind of read I would love. Thanks for the recommend!

Luci, a four hour ironing marathon! Oh my. It pains me to spend five minutes ironing something. I admire your fortitude!

Chris, those sound like great books. Will definitely check them out. And thanks for reminding us about the new releases today. Lots of good stuff coming our way!

Alison, I so need to get a Kristen Ashley book and soon! And Lisa Gardner's book always give me the chills. Have you read The Perfect Husband? It's one of my favorite of hers--romantic suspense, too!

Jeannie, my condolences on the loss of your cousin. How wonderful you were able to spend some quality time with your grandchildren. And oh yes, Pamela Clare's I-Team series is so very awesome!

A reread of the LCR series sounds like fun! With the creation of my LCR page on Facebook, I'm going to be posting thoughts and notes about each book, starting with RESCUE ME. I'll let everyone know when that happens. Hope you'll come by and chat with me.

The Karen Kingsbury book sounds great. One of my all time favorite books is Francine Rivers' Redeeming Love. Had several sob fest while reading that book! (:

Anne, you're such a sweet grandmother! The other day, my mom and I were talking about bored kids and spring break. We both agreed that my grandmother (we lived with her for several years when I was a kid) would have handed us a dust cloth, a mop or a toilet brush and dared us to say we were bored. LOL Life has definitely gotten more interesting and entertaining!

I've been seeing great reviews for The Island. I've held off because of the age difference romance but sounds like I need to get over that and read this book.

Yesterday was such a busy day and Agatha took the day off. However, she has assured me she will show up today and work overtime. We'll see! (:

Crystal, hope you get some quality reading time soon! Sounds like your set with some good books!

Christi, I've seen this book in several places and people are saying great things about it. Will definitely be checking it out. Thanks for the recommend!

I'm headed into my writing cave, hoping Agatha is in there waiting for me. Have a great Tuesday everyone!
