Recommend Monday!

Good Monday Everyone!

Hope you had a good weekend and you're rested up for a fabulous week. Can't wait to hear about the great books you're recommending.

Last week was one of those weeks that I was thrilled to have over--a comedy of errors that someday (maybe in a few years) I'll look back on and laugh. Here are just a few of the things that occurred: fur angel #4 mistook hubby's cellphone for a chew-toy, a stomach flu had me praying for death and praying I wouldn't die in the same breath, fur angel #1 not getting outside in time and leaving a large round puddle on the rug, our phone went out, a visitor we most definitely did not expect, fur angel #3 and #4 got loose from their leashes and disappeared, scaring us to death. And of course, all the while, hubby and I were trying to do our taxes. Needless to say, I had no fear of Friday the 13th because it had already happened. This week has got to be better!

If you haven't already, be sure to check out my post over at Free Book Friday. Feel free to comment or ask questions. Also, be sure to enter on the left side of the page for a chance to win a signed copy of SWEET REWARD.

I'm in the middle of reading a book by an author I've never read before: Girl in the Mirror by Mary Alice Monroe. Anyone read it? The story is a little dated, but I'm thoroughly enjoying it. It's an ugly duckling into beautiful swan story, which I love. Lots of twists and turns and one very sexy hero!

This week is crunch time for Zach, Savannah and me. I've got major pages to write and they've got enormous secrets to reveal. Seems like every day one of them is telling me something I never suspected. These characters are certainly keeping me on my toes!

Hope everyone has a fabulous week. Now tell us what books we should be reading!

I read Darkness Seduced (Order of the Blade: Primal Heat Trilogy #2) by Stephanie Rowe. This is a great new paranormal series. I also read all three Katie Lane's Deep in the Heart of the Texas series - very funny series.

WOW, you got all the kinks out last week, you should have smooth sailing the rest of the month. Can't wait to read about all the secrets that are being revealed too :)

Last week was a good book week for me. I got lots of reading done and they were all books I can recommend.

Dee Davis' Deadly Dance, I really loved Hannah and Harrison's story.

The Perfect Play by Jaci Burton, REALLY spicy. This is one I hadn't read the book blurb and didn't really know much about it. So I didn't know that it bordered on erotica, but I did love the story.

Jill Gregory's Sage Creek - this was a new to me author and I really loved this book. Was kind of Robyn Carr-ish, I have already preordered the next in the series. I really liked it.

Sugar Creek by Toni Blake - the 2nd in the Destiny Ohio Series, cute fun read.

Champagne & Chaps by Cheyenne McCray - one of her Cowboy's. I was a little worried about this one because it is about a breast cancer survivor, and being a survivor myself I was afraid of how she would capture it all in a book, but it was beautifully written.

Thats it for me, happy Monday everyone.

Hi Christy, hi Everyone!
Wow Christy I am sure you are glad that week was finally over. I hope you are feeling better now and your fur kids will behave.

Hi Hope, I am in time this week (lol) - thanks for asking about me last week. I was sidetracked because Easter Monday is a holiday here and as I was busy preparing dinner and spending time with my family, there was no time for blogging.

NO revcommends from me this week. I started a book which was higliy recommended - but for unknown reasons it didn´t work for me, so I put it aside and maybe try it again later.

Next on my reading list is Laura Griffins new book in her tracer series ,which will be released tomorrow. I am really looking forward to it.

Thats all from me, have a fabulous week everyone and good luck with Zach and Savannah, Christy.

Hi Christy! Hi Everyone!

Last week I read Victoria Dahl's Donovan Brother's series and really liked it.

Yesterday I started my first book by Jill Sorenson The Edge of Night and I am really enjoying it...I was up until after midnight reading!

Have a good week everyone!

Wow Christy your week sounded like mine.. the only good thing about being on call is if I see emergencies it makes my paycheck bigger.. so 14 emergencies seen over the 8 days... wooo hoooo I can buy new tires or more books :)
I did manage to read one new book last week, Roxanne St. Claire's book Barefoot in the Sand- it is her newest contemporary romance and if you read it I think you will enjoy it. Then yesterday I needed a light read so picked up the first Bobby Faye book by Toni McGee Causey. Had not read her books until I read Guns and Roses, the anthology, a while back.
Hope your week is a good one!

Greetings!
After spending all last week in Texas and a super busy weekend, I'm back at work, trying to get all caught up! Huge dance competition coming up this weekend followed by a trip to New Orleans (one of my very least favorite cities...I know, I know, everyone LOVES this city!)

I started two books last week that I was unable to get through. It was very sad for me, as it rarely happens and twice is unprecedented! I am currently on the first Shannon Stacey Kowalski brothers book and I'm enjoying it so far!

I read the last book in the I-Team series, by Pamela Clare, Breaking Point. This is an outstanding series that I highly recommend for romantic suspense lovers.

I had a pretty busy week, last week so I didn't get that much reading done. But here are a few recommends: Caught in the Act by Jill Sorenson, Just Breath by Susan Wiggs- this one was a little different for me but i still liked it. And then a few Nook freebies.
Have a wonderful week everyone!!

Glad to see Monday arrive after the stormy and frightening weekend we had. Luckily we missed the bullet but others weren't so lucky.

Christy, your week sounded wild! Hopefully, whatever was in the Birmingham air last week is gone. May the sun shine on you, the hubby, and the fur babies this week, along with Zach and Savannah (who I hope will treat you kind and be cooperative)!

Last week's reads for me included "Knight" by Kristen Ashley. I also read a really touching and enthralling Kindle freebie "Callum & Harper." I loved it! Also finished up "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" -- a VERY long book but interesting!

Looking forward to Laura Griffin's TWISTED releasing tomorrow!

Wishing everyone a good week and some fabulous reading discoveries!

Happy Monday everyone!
Christy last week sounded absolutely terrible!! Hope this week more then makes up for last.
I don't have any recommends. I thought I was going to have one, but at the last minute the book took a severe nose dive and couldn't recover. I'm still aggravated too. I stayed up until 3:00 am reading it and right toward the end the bottom dropped out. Hopefully I'll have better luck this week.

Hi Christy
You've had a busy week! I was at RT in Chicago. It was fabulous but busy. Ironically no time to read while surrounded by books.

Hey All! What great recommends! I've already added 2 more books to my ever growing list.

Hope everyone is having a great week so far. If you come across more great books, feel free to come back and add them.

Zach and Savannah were very cooperative yesterday. Fingers crossed that continues. Have a wonderful day!

Christy, hope your all better and the kids are behaving.

No recommends. For the past two weeks. First the kids were on break and we got started landscaping our yard and it has carried over week after week. My sweet hubby is so talented. I can come up with ideas(after I change my mind about fifty times) and he just poof makes it happen. :)
