Recommend Monday!

Good Monday All!

Hope you had a productive week, a fun-filled weekend, and you're ready to recommend some great reads and/or movies.

No recommends for me this week. I did read a couple of books but can't say either of them made me glad I read them. Hate it when that happens. I did purchase Jill Shalvis' Forever and a Day and Pamela Clare's Defiant, so I definitely have some good reads to look forward to, when I have the time.

Last week, in CHANCES ARE, Jake and Angela led me on a wild goose chase. We went from Paris, to London to Tennessee. LOL They can't decide where this story should take place. We finally ruled out London since the Olympics would impede the case they're working. I think we're back in Paris today and will hopefully stay there.

In between trips to Paris and London, I've been working on MIDNIGHT LIES. The second book in the Ella Grace series. I cried twice while writing the outline so beware of some strong emotions in those books. (:

I'm still having Internet problems, so probably won't be online much this week. I'm hoping to get it fixed soon. Fingers crossed!

So what about you? What have you read that you loved? Did you see any fabulous movies you want to recommend? I admit, I really want to see Magic Mike. Did anyone see it yet? If so, is it a good story too or just full of beautiful men?

That's it for me. I'm headed to Paris for a while and then need to return to Midnight, Alabama where the only thing cooling down there is the weather.

Have a fabulous week everyone!

Hi Christy!
Yay for Angela and Jake, totally can't wait to see where they end up (maybe Nebraska??? LOL)

I've been on a roll with the movies, first because of the extended power outtage and going to the movies was the only way to get some relief and now just because. The girls and I saw Magic Mike, holey moley can Channing Tatum dance! And he has quite the lovely rear end!! The eye candy was great! I also took my daughter to see the Katy Perry movie...it was a cute movie. yesterday, the hubs and I saw Ted. Very crass and crude, but really really funny.

I've been reading the Dee J Adams racing books and they're good. I'm almost done with the second one and the third comes out soon.

Have a great week!

Morning all! Wow Christy - wish I could join the whirlwind travels with Jake and Angela. And a trip to Midnight would be a real treat as well! I would love to have their AAdvantage Miles!

I'm still nursing the spider bites which have pretty much kept me under the weather the last 10 days. Finally three doctor visits later and 10 days of grueling antibiotics, they are starting to heal up and I'm getting back some energy. I just hate that lethargic feeling you get on an antibiotic. Now if I can just put the spider nightmares to rest, I'll be fine.

Read PC's "Defiant" and was not disappointed. She packs a powerful punch in it. Went on to read Jill Shalvis's "At Last" and am looking forward to Doc Josh and Grace's story next.

Looking forward to future news on the upcoming books! Hope everyone has a great week filled with some great reads!

Hi Christy, hi Everyone!
I just heard in the news about the heat wave in the US.
I sincerely hope you all are not melting away and all ACs are working.

Christy, I hope your internet problems will be fixed soon. I hate it when I can´t go online`. Good luck with Angela and Jake in Paris.

I have two recmmends this week.
"At last" by Jill Shalvis ( sooo good) and "Echoes at Dawn" by Maya Banks. It was a good read but I would have liked to see more of the Kelly brothers . I hope Donovan will get his story soon.

Currently I am reading Joe Robertsons "The Avenger" and I am not sure if I really like the idea of a Hero with drug enhanced abilities, but the story itself is good.

Have a great week Everyone!

I have read to really good books this week. The first one is called "Beautiful Disaster" by Laura Spinella-this one was a real page turner I could not put down-read it in one day!!.The second book was called "Hush" by Micalea Smeltzer-very light on the sex scenes but the romance and the angst and the "sexual pull" for the characters to be together made up for it.

Morning all!
I'm rehabbing my knee (still) this week, so I've taken the week off from work and hope to be productive. So far so good.
I'm trying to think of what I've read. I've been caught up in Sylvia Day's Renegade Angels series. I'm really enjoying it, but it's def a series. Each book on it's own leaves me a little dissatisfied because it's not all tied up in a pretty bow by the end. But, I am enjoying the plot, so I'll keep reading them.
I feel like there was something else I read too, but if it's not coming to mind it must not be a good rec. :-P
I hope you stay cool Christy and your internet issues work themselves out.

So only two rec's for me: Playing for keeps and Perfection by R.L. Mathewson, these are a series: Neighbors from Hell. Really funny books, A few places I was laughing out loud. I don't usually do that when I read. So if you need a pick-me-up kind of book, I recommend these two.

Now if I could just figure out how to stay cool, with our near 100 degree weather. :)

Hi All!

Wow, Angela and Jake travel like I do, but I bet they have get to have a ton more fun!

It finally cooled off this weekend and we could actually stand to be outside for more than 3 minutes at a time.

A few recommends from me, piled up since the last time I posted.

I am two books into the Laura Moore Rosewood Trilogy. The first two books were great reads, Remember Me and Believe in Me. Can't wait to read about the third sister in the last book.

I also read and enjoyed Sage Creek by Jill Gregory and am on the hunt for Larkspur Road the second in the series.

And I loved Kristen Ashley's, The Gamble, the first in her Colorado Mountain Man series. Starting the second one in that series soon.

Hope everyone has a good week!

Maya Banks latest in the KGI series was my lone read this week. And it was good. This is a wonderful series. I hesitate to read new releases of my favorite authors, as I save them like I would a very special treat. I have Pamela Clare and Lorelei James latest just begging to be read.

This week I will be reading Jill Shalvis, a new to me author. I will also check out KC's rec, as I'm always looking for new reads.

I love Recommend Monday! Thanks Christy! (Waiting, not patiently, for your new books!)

Stay cool everyone. We're one day closer to Fall.

Hi Christy
This years conference as come and gone. We had 102 ladies show up and hopefully they went way feeling better about themselves and life.
I did get some reading done (great stress reliever).
I read Echoes At Dawn by Maya Banks part of her KGI series. It was really good, worth the wait. Then I read Too Close for Comfort by Eve Gaddy. I am wondering if this is a series or not. It was a really good romantic mystery without getting really dark and overly serious. That is all I had time for. Going to read a more this week and decompress.
Have a great week writing Christy and I hope the internet connection problem gets solve. Tell next monday have agreat week everyone!

Hey Everyone! Yay, my Internet is finally fixed! What a week this has been. One of my fur-kids, my little Blossom, has been very sick. Most of my time has been spent trying to get her to eat and making sure it didn't reappear in another form. ): But I'm pleased to announce she's much better and back to her bossy little self. Such a relief!

Thanks so much for the fabulous recommendations you guys gave. Looks like there's lots to choose from. Sadly, I need to wait on reading until I can get Jake and Angela out of the mess they put themselves in (Yes, I'm blaming them) and someone has committed a murder in Midnight, so I need to clean up that mess too. Sigh, these characters...What would they do without me. (:

Ronlyn, hope your knee is much better. Jeannie, congrats on your successful conference! Anne, hope those spider bites clear up completely for you. That sounds so very painful.

Hope everyone is having a great week. We're only a day and a half from the weekend. Yay!

Oh, and how could I forget this? MIDNIGHT SECRETS is up for pre-order on Amazon. Just the paperback so far, but eBook pre-order should be coming soon. Not showing up on B&N yet, but should soon. Will post those links when I get them.

Here's the link to pre-order the paperback on Amazon. And if you're so inclined, would love likes and tags, too. Thank you!
