Good Monday Everyone!
Hope you had a fabulous week and weekend. Did you read anything fabulous? If so, here's your place to tell us about it.
Thanks to those who celebrated National Buy a Book Day with me. I didn't know it existed but now that I do, I'll be sure to celebrate every year. Supporting authors by having a special book buying day is a wonderful idea. I can't wait to read the one I purchased. And congrats to Steph99 for winning the contest. Steph99, please email me at christy@christyreece.com with your choice of two signed LCR books and your mailing address.
I'm still in the midst of MIDNIGHT SECRETS revisions. Hope to finish them up by mid week so I can get back to CHANCES ARE and MIDNIGHT LIES. I'm anxious to see what my characters have been up to.
My Ella Grace site is coming along and should be ready to launch any day now. Since I want to share an excerpt of MIDNIGHT SECRETS before that, I'm going to post it to my Ella Grace Facebook page. I have a question for you about excerpts. Do you prefer the beginning of the book, the first meeting of the hero and heroine or their first kiss?
Though I'm immersed in revisions, I do have a fabulous recommend. I read True Shot by Joyce Lamb last week and thoroughly enjoyed it. The hero was an unlikely one and I loved that about him. The heroine was strong but vulnerable too. The last fifty pages of the book were some of the most intense I've ever read. Took me hours to settle down after I read it!
Okay, that's it for me. I'm offline for the rest of the week to get MIDNIGHT SECRETS polished and shiny. Be sure to check on Friday for the excerpt at Ella Grace Facebook Page
I can't wait for you to meet Zach and Savannah. My editor said that Zach stole her heart. I hope he does that to yours too. (:
Have a great week all. Now tell us what we should be reading!

Hi Christy,
I can't believe I'm able to write this....the internet connection is so slow in Alaska everything keeps timing out. :(
I love Joyce Lamb's books...what an excellent recommendation!! I did a couple of re-read of Maya Banks KGI series. I had read the last ones out of order accidentally (*gasp*) and needed to figure out a couple of things that didn't make sense to me. I also read Julie Ann Walker's In Rides Trouble and Bella Andre's latest Sullivan book "Let Me Be the One". Absolutely adored both books!! Have a great week.
Hi everyone!
I didn't know there was a National Book buying day...that's everyday for me :)
I traveled to MO to visit family last week. I did manage to read some during the 12 hour drive there. I read and enjoyed Katie Porter's Double Down and Inside Bet. Some of the writing was a little odd for me, but overall I enjoyed the stories.
Happy reading everyone!
I'd like to recommend Beth Ciotta's Fool For Love. I'm reading it now and it is adorable. It is the beginning of her Cupcake Lovers series and you'll just love it!!
Now, with excerpts, I love whatever the author chooses to give us!!
Jill Shalvis' "The Sweetest Thing" and "Head Over Heels"
Can't wait for your next books to come out!
I have started 3 books this week, just haven't had time to finish any.
But I am almost done with Mystery Man by Kristen Ashley. Her writing style takes some getting used to but this is my 2nd book by KA and I will continue with her other books.
Have a great week everyone!
Hi Kris! Hope you made it back from Alaska. I know you travel a lot but how very cool you get to go to such beautiful locations. I'm in total travel envy!
Hi Alison, I didn't know about National Book Buying day either. I just happened to see it posted somewhere and checked it out. I don't think it's been around very long but wow, what a great thing to have for both authors and readers. I plan to celebrate every year now!
Hi Kelli Jo! Thanks for the recommend. Sounds like a fun series. I have a special fondness for cupcakes! And thanks for weighing in on excerpts. Hope you'll check out MIDNIGHT SECRETS excerpt on my Ella Grace Facebook page.
Hi Amy! Isn't Jill Shalvis amazing? If you're not a fan of hers on Facebook, you're missing out. She has such a great sense of humor and the absolute funniest posts.
Hi KC! Hope you got to finish one of your books. And I still intend to try a Kristen Ashley book. I know I'm missing out!
Thanks so much, you guys, for your recommends. I hope you'll come by today and tell us what you read last week. See you soon!
