Good Monday All!
Hope you had a fabulous weekend! Our weather, especially on Saturday, was glorious. Sunny and 74 degrees. Spring is definitely on it's way to Alabama. Hope it's lovely where you are, too. Today will be stormy and wet, but that's okay. Gotta have the rain to make things grow and turn green.
CHANCES ARE is now at 211 pages and almost 63,000 words. Still have two scenes to add but I'm loving this longer version. Hope you will, too!
I have a question for you all. What do you think of serial romances? You know, where you get to read 2-3 chapters and then it ends in a cliffhanger. And then you get another installment, then another, etc. Do you like those? Have you purchased any? That seems to be a growing trend, so just wondered. Also, what about the 3 part trilogy--3 entire books but no HEA until the third book? I've seen a lot of those, too. Love them? Hate them? Never read one like that?
Once I'm finished with CHANCES ARE and send it off for copyediting (which I hope is very very soon) I want to start on something else. I'm torn between a brand new romantic suspense series I've been noodling or another LCR book. Want to weigh in on your preference? Maybe it'll point me in the right direction!
Tomorrow, I'm over at Kiss and Thrill, a romantic suspense blog where I was interviewed by the lovely author, Gwen Hernandez. Hope you'll come over and chat. Lots of fun questions were asked. And you can comment for a chance to win a signed LCR book of you choice. Here's the link: Kiss and Thrill
On the reading front, I just started reading Laura Griffin's Snapped and am really enjoying it. Starts off with a definite bang!
Okay, that's it for me. Must. Write. Till. The. End! :)
Happy Monday All! Can't wait to see what you're recommending today!

Happy Monday...or not.
I don't like serial romances, that doesn't work for me. I prefer a whole book, but I do enjoy story arcs that continue through multiple books in a series.
I vote for another LCR book!! :)
My only recommend for this week is Tactical Strike by Kaylea Cross. Her books are always yummy reads.
Happy Monday.....and I second Kris' not lol
I am NOT a fan of cliffhangers. I would like it all wrapped up in a nice little package by the end. I have read several, and they are just not for me.
I have a few recommends this week. I am on a Mary Burton kick. I have just recently found her, and I am in LOVE with her writing style. I read Senseless and Merciless and loved them, and have moved on to Dead Ringer.
I also read and loved Shannon Stacy's All He Ever Dreamed. Can't wait for more Kowalski's.
And finally, I finished RAID by Kristen Ashley. Love anything by her.
Have a wonderful week everyone.
Monday and Spring Break begins. Lots of activities and a short trip to our State Capitol, a trip to a soda pop maker of literally hundreds of flavors, and also to Eskimo Joe's in Stillwater on the campus of my beloved OSU Cowboys with the grandkids. Should be fun but I'll be exhausted when I return home.
Not much in favor of those new "serials" -- too little received for too much time expended. I love a three-part trilogy and I find myself involved in those frequently. If done really well, I enjoy a continuing cliffhanger. Shiloh Walker's "Ash Trilogy" was one of the best I've ever read with an ongoing cliffhanger.
I'm ALWAYS up for more LCR books!! Can never get enough of them. But, I must say, I'm very interested in this "noodling" project for a brand new RS series you've teased us with now.
One recommendation this week. JD Robb's latest -- "Calculated In Death" kept me entertained from beginning to ending. This series still has me hooked.
See ya at "Kiss and Thrill" tomorrow!
Weather here is beautiful…I should be outside in a park reading a book instead of sitting in my cubicle:(
I’m not a fan of serial romances; I’d rather buy a whole book at once. The cliffhangers kill me, but I’ve loved some of the 3 part trilogies that have been out…Shiloh Walker’s Ash Trilogy, and I’m waiting on the 3rd and final book of Sylvia Day’s Crossfire and Raine Miller’s Blackstone Affair series.
One rec this week…J. R. Ward’s Lover Avenged, I need a little nap, I was up too late finishing this last night.
A new LCR book sounds great, but like Anne I’m curious about this new series you’ve thinking about.
Have a good week everyone!
Happy Monday!!!!!
I love books that are part of a series but I not a fan of "cliffhangers". I do love your LCR series and wish for you to continue that :)
I just finished Shades of Gray by Maya Banks (a KGI Novel) and loved it :) I can't wait for Chances Are....
Have a great week!!!!
Happy Monday, All!
Weather in the San Francisco Bay area is nice today. Chicago, not so nice. So, maybe there is an upside to travel this week.
As for the serial romances, I have not read too many, but I really did enjoy Shiloh Walkers Ash Trilogy. You get an HEA each book, but you don't find out who did it until the end of the third, I enjoyed the wait, as long as I get my HEA per book.
Another LCR book would get my vote for sure. But, like Anne, I am curious as to what other RS series you are mentioning too. Guess I'll wait and see.
I am catching up on the Maya Banks KGI series and just finished Echos at Dawn. I was so excited to read Rio's story and this book and the series does not disappoint.
Well, back to work. Have a great week everyone!
Guess I am late! I agree no serial cliffhanger things for me. I get too frustrated!
You will love Laura Griffin's "Twisted."
I had a busy week. I finished "Gone Girl" by Gillian Flynn. Strongly recommend. Nancy Bush"s "Nowhere to Run is also great. Another good one is "Simon Says Die" by Lena Diaz.
I vote for another LCR too!

Hey all my reader friends... I've been MIA for a long time. :( I have been dealing with more sickness this school year than ever before. I swear my kids have been sicker the last 6 months than they have been their entire lives combined!! I'm hoping with spring break next week the germs will DIE a painful death in school.
Unfortunately I haven't been able to do much reading. And sadly I can't even remember the last book I recommended here. Very sad I know!! So I am going to guess..The absolute BEST book I've read lately is a book by this author lady ELLA GRACE..(not sure if any of you know her lol..) but she has this book getting ready to release next month called MIDNIGHT SECRETS. It is FABULOUS!! I highly recommend this book and I'm looking forward to reading the next two in the series. I'm so happy I won the copy from Goodreads! The other two books I've read that I know are RM worthy are Shiloh Walkers Fragile and Broken. I really enjoyed Luke and Quinn both.
Christy to answer your questions...
1. Not a fan of the idea of serial romances. I want to be able to sit down and read my book from front to back without waiting. I'm not a fan of the cliffhanger idea. I feel it takes away from the story.
2. Now the three part trilogy... I hate to say this, but I HATE them. If I know this is how the story goes I won't read them. Now.... if you were to write something like this I would read it, but I would want to wait and read all three at once. When I start a story I want the HAE by the time I close the book. Now these are obviously just my thoughts so if you decide to do either one I'll support it 100%. :)I understand it's not all about me. LOL I am thrilled to hear that Chances Are has 211 pages!! I can't wait to get my hands on this story!! If I were to vote for what you should do next it would be...anything! lol I love the idea of another LCR book, but I'd love to know what other type of story is rolling around in that head of yours.
Hope everyone is having a great Monday. It's cold and wintery here in Ohio. Enjoy your spring like weather enough for me please Christy!!
Christy-
To answer your questions:
I don't like serial romances either. Just not my thing. I like cliffhangers, I agree with the others that the Ash trilogy is a great example. I also am curios about this new project.
Recommends:
All he ever desired by Shannon Stacey, Bungalow Nights by Christie Ridgway.
Thats it for me.
Happy Reading!!
Hi Christy, hi Everyone!
I am a day late again - but with my hubby home due to knee surgery there wasn´t time for blogging.
Christy ,intersting questions. I normally don´t like cliffhangers but I didn´t mind it with Elaine Levines "The edge of courage" because I knew the hero of the next book in her Red Team series "Shattered Valour" is Ty Bladen- so he must have survived the rattle snake pit.
And a real great serial romance is Sams and Alyssa´s story in Suz Brockmans Troubleshooter series.
( the short stuff you probably meant I don´t read at all.)
As for what you should write next - I am with Crystal there - both would be great.
No recommends from me this week.
Happy reading, Everyone!

Ups it posted twice- no idea whatI did wrong.
Hey All! Great recommends this week. Hope you found some good ones too. And thanks for the input on serials, cliffhangers and what I should concentrate on next. Be sure to come over to Recommend Monday and see what I decided. Plus have some great news for you, too!
Special note to Crystal. Thank you so much for your kind words on MIDNIGHT SECRETS. They were wonderful to read and definitely made me smile.
See everyone over on Recommend Monday!
