Good Monday Everyone!
Hope you had a spectacular weekend. Our weather here in Alabama was/is glorious--mid seventies and blue skies. Flowering trees of various colors line roadways and highways like a colorful parade. How I love Spring! Of course the pollen is everywhere too but I try to ignore that. Wish my sinuses could ignore it. Time for the Claritin!
Hard to believe it's April 8. This year has flown by. I'm hoping with warmer weather, things will slow down a bit. Last week I put the final touches on CHANCES ARE. Now I need to finish up the dedication and acknowledgements. Once that's done--sometime this week--I'll send it for formatting. We're closer than ever and I can't wait to get Jake's and Angela's story into your hands!
And speaking of more LCR, I wanted to share the UK covers for NO CHANCE and SECOND CHANCE. I love these LCR guys with their T-shirts! And Gabe with a tattoo? Swoon... :)
I think the dark clouds behind Cole, with the sun peeking out is wonderful imagery for his story, don't you? Sometimes I still feel guilty for everything I put that poor guy through.
NO CHANCE is scheduled for release in the UK on May 9 and SECOND CHANCE will be released June 6.
Switching personalities and being Ella Grace for a moment, I was excited to learn that both MIDNIGHT SECRETS and MIDNIGHT LIES will be in audio! Can't wait to hear the stories read with a Southern accent.
Once CHANCES ARE and MIDNIGHT SECRETS have been released and I have a little breathing room, I'm considering doing something different with Recommend Monday. I love hearing your recommends but we've really slowed down the last year or so. I want Recommend Monday to be helpful to readers looking for their next great read. If you have any suggestions, feel free to comment here or send me an email at christy@christyreece.com. I'm open to suggestions.
Oh, I wanted to mention and apologize to those who might have tried to sign up for my Christy Reece or Ella Grace newsletter last week. There was a major glitch and anyone who tried to sign up got a message saying something like they couldn't be on the list and might be blacklisted. So sorry about that. No one has ever been blacklisted from getting my newsletters! That was a ridiculous message. Anyway, I've switched companies and everything should now be fine.
Since polishing CHANCES ARE has taken the majority of my time the last few weeks, I've not read anything. However, I'm now in the mood for something fabulous. So in addition to your recommends, please tell us the last book you simply could not put down. Any genre will do. I think the last book I read like that was JT Geissinger's Edge of Oblivion. Has anyone read it? It's paranormal, which isn't my usual read, but I was blown away not only by the storyline but also by the beauty of the writing. It's the first book in the series and one I would highly recommend. Even if you're not a paranormal reader, I think you would enjoy it.
Okay, that's it for me. Got some writing to do and then I think I'll take a walk and have a chat with some new, very intriguing characters.
Have a fabulous week everyone. Now, tell us what we should be reading!

Hi Christy, hi Everyone!
Christy I am quite envious reading about the weather in Alabama. We are still in "wintermode" here in Northern Germany - wearing coates and gloves, grrr. I can´t wait for spring.
I am thrilled Chances are is finished and the waiting almost over.
As we are currently remodeling our kitchen, there was´t much time for reading, but i did manage " Trill Ride" the forth book in July Ann Walkers Black Knights Inc. series and it was a good fast paced read.
As I love to stop by Rec. Monday regularly, I hope you will continue with it Christy.
Happy reading, Everyone!
One Day Closer to CHANCES ARE!! WAHOO!!
EXPOSED, the upcoming release from Laura Griffin....AMAZING! If you are an LCR fan..you will LOVE Laura's Tracers Series!
ANYTHING BUT SWEET by Candis Terry, coming out end of June, Reno her hero is quite the tough one to wrangle in, but Charli her heoine does it!! LOVED!
THE BEST MAN by Kristin Higgins, I JUST CAN'T SAY ENOUGH ABOUT HOW GREAT THIS BOOK WAS!!
WHEN SNOW FALLS by Brenda Novak... LOVE THE HERO, LOVE THE SERIES< LOVE THIS BOOK!!

Have a wonderful day all!!
Hey Elke! If I had the power, I would bottle up some sunshine and warm Spring air and send it your way! I would even leave out the pollen. :)
Thanks for the recommend. I've been meaning to read Julie Ann Walker's books.
And thanks for weighing in on Recommend Monday. So happy you enjoy coming here. I love hearing from you!
Hey Lisa (Tasty Book Tours)! Wow, some great recommends here. I'm writing them down immediately. Thanks so much.
And I can't wait for you to read and hopefully brag about CHANCES ARE either. :)
Happy Monday everyone. I just returned from the San Francisco area for a karate tournament. Had a great time but man, I am exhausted.

Infatuation - Nicole Edwards
Once Tempted - Laura Moore
Seducing Cinderella - Gina Maxwell
Whisper Falls - Toni Blake
Can't WAIT for the new LCR book, and of course, Midnight Alabama is high on my MUST READ list. Have a wonderful week everyone.
Hey everyone!
Christy- I really love Rec Mondays, even if i don't have a recommend i still read all the other posts, I have been introduced to so many new authors here. But whatever you decide I know it will be great!
Rain here today, then possible SNOW tonight, can you believe that its April.
Recommends for me:
Own the wind by Kristen Ashley- loved this book. I liked it so much I have been doing a re-read of KA's books. Can't wait for the next one.
The Wanderer by Robyn Carr- first in a new series.
Happy Reading!!
Hi Everyone!
Love the UK covers Christy! Can't wait to get my hands on Chances Are!
Like Hope and KC I loved Own the Wind by Kristen Ashley!
Happy Reading everyone!
Afternoon Christy,
Thank you for recommending Bookamillion.com I was able to preorder 2 Ella Grace books at very great prices and I'm now reading Sleep No More by Iris Johansen
Today is sunny and warm in Iowa after lots of rain last night. Loving that spring is here, rebirth for all
Hugs to all
I have read some good books lately; I don't generally read straight suspense, but did so for my book club:
Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn and Defending Jacob. Both are written in the first person, again something that I don't normally read. That is one of the great things about a book club.
I had never read anything by Nancy Bush but I loved Nowhere To Run and Nowhere to Hide.
Exposed is on my list, Rage by Bera Webb's Faces of Evil is being released at the end of the month. It is the fourth in the series with the same to main character, Jess and Dan with a past. There are going to be 12 so I am psyched.
I am so looking forward to tCahnces are! Your books as Ella Grace are in my TBR and intend to read them soon. I cannot wait to see your other side. Also, I cannot imagine not liking any thing you write so looking for to them!
I have thought about J.T. Ellison but I really don't like paranormal. Is it like Nora Robert's paranormal which is okay or is it really out there?
Thanks everyone for the suggestions!
Marijane
Nice covers
liked Vincent Brothers by Abbi Glines
Hey Hope! You are one jet-setting woman. Saw your post on Facebook about your son's awards. How exciting. Congrats!
Thanks for the awesome recommends. I'm eyeing a couple of them for my Kindle.
So happy you're looking forward to CHANCES ARE and MIDNIGHT SECRETS! Won't be long now for either of them. :)
Hi KC! Thanks so much for weighing in on Recommend Monday. I'm so happy you've found new authors to try by reading the recommends. That's so good to know!
Thanks for the recommend on Kristen Ashley. I definitely intend to read her!
Hey Alison!
Glad you liked the covers. Can't wait to see the books. I'll have some giveaways as soon as I get some copies.
Hey Kay! Yay on pre-ordering both MIDNIGHT SECRETS and MIDNIGHT LIES. And double yay on getting them at a discount!
Thanks so much for pre-ordering, Kay!
OMG I love the new covers!! Smokin hot!!
These past days have been cray-zee!! Thursday I was in Richmond with mini-me and she was doing her modeling shoot. Friday through just now we were in Raleigh NC for a dance competition. She did great and was recognized by the judge's with a special award titled "Diva Alert". I am in SOOOOO much trouble!!
Needless to say, I didn't get much reading in. I am almost done with Christy Ridgway's The Love Shack and I absolutely adore this series!! This one is very very good.
I don't have any ideas to help out with RM, but I do enjoy coming here every week!!!
Hi Marijane! Thanks so much for these great recommends. I have Gone Girl on my Kindle. Heard so many great things about this book.
And I'm so happy about Deb Webb's books. She is an incredible woman and a wonderful writer. So admire her!
I can't say if JT Geissinger's Edge of Oblivion is like Nora Robert's paranormal. I've only read NR's romance and romantic suspense. However, I'm not a paranormal reader but had no issues with the paranormal aspects of this book. I think the writing is so beautiful, it's almost poetic. You might download a sample of it and see what you think.
So happy you're looking forward to CHANCES ARE and MIDNIGHT SECRETS. Hope you love them both!
Hi BN100! Glad you like the covers. And thanks for the recommend. I've heard good things about Abbi Glines books.
Christy,
Anonymous is me. Sorry I did not add my full name.

Hi Kris! Glad you like the covers. So much fun to get these books out to new readers and have these cool new covers, too.
You amaze me with your energy with all the events your 'mini-me' gets involved in. Bet you two have such fun! LOL Diva Alert, huh? Too cute.
Thanks for the recommend on Christie Ridgway. I need to check out this series.
Hi all, late today! Christy, LOVE the covers! Love them!
I too am a fan of the recommend Monday, I might not always post, but I have found so many great reads from what others share too!
I am still in catch up mode so this week I can recommend Snapped by Laura Griffin, love the Tracers series. And Rush by Maya Banks.
Sunday was the first nice day here in sometime and we spend as much of it outside as possible!
Have a great week everyone and thanks for pointing out some new reads I'll have to add to my TBR pile!
Hey Christy!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the new covers!! They look awesome! I can't wait to hear about the new characters you are talking about!
Last week I read Thrill Ride by Julie Ann Walker. She can bug me with some of her word choices, but obviously not enough to keep me from reading them. She has great story lines.
Hope everyone has a great week. :)
i can't tell you how many times i've typed up a recommend post on my dad gum iPhone or iPad-really nice post-and some how i lose them before they're posted. irritates the crap outta me. but it's not for lack of trying! i usually slide in really late too. :)
i've read kristen ashley, game of hearts and golden trail. great reads. i continued with lori foster, trace of fever and now i'm reading savor the danger. (hope may have recommended these. i know she recommend dee davis a tac series, which are fabulous reads too.) i've been introduced to SO many good authors from rm. i believed i learned about kristen ashley here too. which brings me to the book i just couldn't put down...it's an entire series actually. the rock chick series by ka. made me laugh, a lot, kept my attention, pretty much rocked in every way. i can't wait for the final book in the series. i will definitely read all of them again.
i learned of pamela clare here. LOVE her. and jaci burton's motorcycle series, so good. and her play by play series. jill shalvis cracks me up often when i'm reading her books. i know there are more authors and i've made several of them rich, my nook can prove it. and then there's you christy. you go girl. i've turned several of my friends and family on to you and will continue to do so.
i'm divorcing after 29 years of marriage. my life is insane right now. i find peace in books. escapism. i need someone to write MY life story. it's crazy as hell and stranger than any fiction. to top it off, i'm uneducated, 53 and have been a stay at home mom for the majority of the 29 years. you know what happens to a woman when she leaves a marriage after that length of time, with no education? she goes from a six figure salary to poverty over night. i could write a book on that alone. yes, there is HIS retirement. and my state is a community property state. but between now and 59.5 i need to seriously figure out what to do... but alas, i'm back in school, trying every day to be strong and carry on.
so, you guys do more good than you will ever know with your post and recommends.
everyone have a wonderful week!
I have never posted here before, but I read this blog every week. I can't even remember how many books and authors I have found as a result of reading the entries on Recommend Monday. I always share the recommends with a friend of mine at work, who has also read all of you books. A few of the great authors I have learned about here are Marie Force, Dee Davis, Kylie Brant, Joyce Lamb, Julie Ann Walker, Maya Banks (KGI Series), Cynthia Eden, Shiloh Walker, etc. I love Recommend Monday, and I hope it continues.
I think I tried to post a couple of times before and lost my entry before I posted it. Monday is always a busy day for me at work, so I usually don't get here until later in the week. I will try to contribute in the future.
I really like the UK covers. Love the t-shirts!!! I am not a fan of waxed, shiny naked chests on book covers. I mean really, how many alpha type guys are waxed and oiled? I also love the covers like the ones on Julie Garwood's recent books - Sweet Talk and Hotshot - shirts and holsters. Very sexy!
This past week, I too read The Best Man by Kristan Higgins and loved it. I also read Love Irresistibly by Julie James. I love the hero Cade Morgan in that book, but then I always enjoy Julie's books. I am currently reading Die for Me by Cynthia Eden and Cherry Adair's Relentless.
Books I couldn't put down: Sweet Justice by CR, The Bride by Julie Garwood, Killing Time by Cindy Gerard, Don't Say a Word by Beverly Barton, Scorched by Laura Griffin, Beg for Mercy by Jami Alden, When You Dare by Lori Foster, Dream Man by Linda Howard. The list goes on.
I am so ready for Chances Are and the Ella Grace books. They are at the top of my Cannot Wait to Read list.
It seems we went from Winter straight to Summer this week in Cary, NC. It was 91 here today.
Well, it seems once I get started posting, there is no stopping me. :)
Hi Tara! Thanks for weighing in on Recommend Monday. I'm so glad you've gotten good recommendations here. That's our goal! :)
Hi Crystal! Thanks. So glad you love the covers. I have to admit, I'm really enjoying seeing what my publisher comes up with for each book. And I can't wait for you to meet this new character I met. I've been sighing a lot when I think about him. :)
Hi Sam! I'm so happy that you've found many great authors to read here. That's so good to know!
And major hugs on your life changing event. Writing about your experience might actually be helpful. I know when I have 'major issues' I write them out and it helps. Congratulations on going back to school. You sound like a strong, well grounded person.
How wonderful that you can read to escape. Books are such a gift, aren't they.
And thank you so much for recommending me to your friends. So very much appreciated!
Hi Grammiel! Thank you so much for posting. So happy to have you here and I do hope you'll post again. Don't worry about coming in later in the week. You know our motto--It's never too late to recommend a good book. :)
I'm thrilled that you've found so many authors and good reads on Recommend Monday.
Glad you like the UK covers. I actually prefer a shirted/T-shirted man on the cover, too. Very sexy!
Thank you for including SWEET JUSTICE in 'can't put down' books! You made my day! And I'm so happy you're looking forward to CHANCES ARE and MIDNIGHT SECRETS. Not long for either of them now. Yay!
