Recommend Monday

Good Monday All!

How was your weekend? A good one? Did you get in some reading? If so, can't wait to hear about your favorites.

I spent last week in Dallas, Mexico, Virginia, and Paris. Needless to say it was a busy week. :)

This week I will be concentrating on my villains. It occurred to me that I don't know them as well as I should. And you know how I love a good villain.

Also, I'm gearing up for a week of giveaways counting down to the release of MIDNIGHT LIES. Instead of my usual release day party, I'm having a giveaway each day beginning Tuesday, September 17 until September 24. So be sure to check my Ella Grace website beginning next Tuesday. I'll have more information to share in next week's post.

Here's a bit of news. CHANCES ARE is about to get a gorgeous new cover! Though I still love the original one, I'm changing the look in preparation for future LCR books so there will be as much continuity as possible. I'll reveal it soon but if you love the current cover and don't have the book yet, be sure to grab it up soon before it's gone.

Okay that's it for me. I'm offline the rest of the week getting to know my bad guys. Can't wait to see what evil deeds they've been plotting.

Have a great week all! Now tell us what we should be reading!

You are a busy girl Christy!!

I hope your villians are nice to you. *snicker*

So, I forget who recommended it to me (I think either Anne or Jackie or maybe Shelly...I don't know!) but I finally read Tangled by Emma Chase. What a hoot!! Told from the guy's POV, it was full of LOL moments. Highly recommend.

Looking forward to Midnight Lies and the new Chances Are cover.

Not much new in my world, just sliding into the back-to-school and dance routine. I'm heading to Orlando for a conference on Sat and looking forward to some extra reading time.

Have a great week all!

I read A Thousand Lies by Sharon Sala. It was really good. It did make me cry. I have a long to be read list, just don't have the time to read too many right now. Glad I took the time to read this one. 2 weeks ago I read Justice for Sara by Erica Spindler and it was excellent.

Happy Monday Everyone!!

I have a couple of recommends this week as I missed last week. Coming out on Sept 16 is Kaylea Cross’s third book in the Bagram Special Ops series, Lethal Pursuit. I have read all of Kaylea’s books and I have to say that Lethal Pursuit is my all-time favorite. I received an early copy and just couldn’t put it down. It’s a true romantic suspense, heavy on the suspense. If you’ve read any of this series you know it focuses on military personal deployed to Afghanistan and their fight against Al Qaida. Lethal Pursuit is a gritty, realistic, emotional story. There are scenes that some may find very unpleasant, but they only add to the accuracy and relevance of the story. Lethal Pursuit is a must read!!!!!

Currently I’m reading Nina Bruhns’s Men in Uniform series. I’m about 2/3 of the way thru book 1, Red Heat, and I’m loving it. It’s a little different than most Military Romantic Suspense as the hero is a member of the Russian Navy and not any of the American forces. The next two book in the series are White Hot and Blue Forever and I’m really looking forward to reading those too. Bruhns’s has also written a Passion for Danger Trilogy that I really enjoyed (Shoot to Thrill, If Looks Could Chill and A Kiss to Kill).

Christy, I can’t wait until Midnight Lies comes out. I just know it’s going to be a great read!!!!

Have a great week!!!!

Last week I finished Robyn Carr's new book, The Hero. This was not a romantic suspense, but I still enjoyed it. Now, I am halfway through Elle Kennedy's Midnight Games. It is the 3rd in the series, and I have enjoyed all of them. They are my usual romantic suspense books.

I can't wait to travel the world with the new characters, Christy! Anxiously looking forward to all those new releases!!

I just finished the first two books, "Consequences" and "Truth" in Althea Romin's Consequences series. What a wild and crazy ride that certainly makes me question my choice in reading this set of books. But cray-cray as the books are, I'm addicted and now can't wait to get some closure in the final installment in "Convicted" on October 8th. Nothing boring about these books for sure.

After reading Caisey Quinn's "Girl With a Guitar" and "Girl on Tour", I couldn't wait for another book by this author. She took off on a completely different path in "Keep Me Still" and I loved it just as much. She's an author I'm keeping my eye on for future releases.

Finally fall is right around the corner and I'm so excited. It's my favorite time of year: football, crisp cool air and beautiful fall foliage, along with a trip to the pumpkin patch!!

Happy Reading everyone!

Hi Christy! Wow, that's some traveling for a week, can't wait to see what you have in store for us all!

And oh you do write some creepy villains, so I can only imagine how much creepier they will become as you get to know them better.

Sadly, no recommends for me this week, but we had a wonderful weekend with family, discovering more of our new city and a wonderful trip to the circus.

Thanks for the recommends all, have a great week!

Reading Jill Shalvis's "Lucky Harbor" series. Cried over a couple of stories. The last book that made my cry was your "Last Chance"'s McKenna!

Thank you all for the good wishes on working with my villains. And special note to Alima. Thanks for telling me that McKenna made you cry in LAST CHANCE. She made me cry, too. :)

Also, thanks for the great recommends. So many good books out there these days it's hard to decide what to read next. Be sure to come over to today's Recommend Monday. I have several announcements and a recommend, too.

See you there!
