Recommend Monday!

Good Monday All!

Did you have a good weekend? Do anything fun? Read anything fabulous? Tell us about it!

My weekend was full and fun and included shopping, baking and a bit of reading. I'm in the middle of two books, which is unusual for me as I generally like to concentrate on one story at a time. However, I'm finding reading a somewhat dark book, Hide From Evil by Jami Alden and a lighter book, the second Virgin River, Shelter Mountain by Robyn Carr, is a good combination for me. When one gets too too intense, I go to the other and then go back again. Do you ever do this?

Can you believe we're 14 days away from the release of SWEET REWARD! I'm so excited for you guys to read this book. Mia and Jared were such fun characters to work with and I hope you love their story as much as I enjoyed writing it. Over the weekend, I received two rather lovely reviews. The first is from Fresh Fiction: http://freshfiction.com/review.php?id=31728 and the other is from Night Owls Review, who named SWEET REWARD a Top Pick: http://www.nightowlsuspense.com/nor/Reviews/Reese-reviews-Sweet-Reward-by-Christy-Reece.aspx

Hopefully these reviews will whet your appetite and make you even more excited to read SWEET REWARD. With the holiday rush and things getting crazy this time of year, don't forget to pre-order your copy so you can get it as soon as it's released! And if you don't like to order online, don't forget to ask your bookseller at your favorite bookstore to pre-order it for you.

My time this week will be filled with shopping, end of the year doctor appointments, a bit more reading and some writing. Hope everyone has a fabulous week. Can't wait to hear what you're recommending today!

"It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas everywhere you go . . ." I've been humming and singing along with holiday carols all weekend with some precious little elves. What fun!

I discovered a series from a new-to-me-author, Marsha Moyers, whose four-book series The Lucy Hatch Novels has stolen my heart. After checking them out from the library, I've decided I love them so much I want my own copies so I'm on the hunt at the local used bookstores and if not there, I'll order them from Amazon as a Christmas present to myself. Wonderfully touching series that was lots of fun to read with lots of amazing characters & words of wisdom lessons thrown in as a bonus. Must be read in order because each book builds on the story of love and heartache, splits and reunions, and a happily ever after that was near perfect in the little town of Mooney, Texas!

That's it from Santa's Workshop in wet and chilly T-Town, Oklahoma! Hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season!

Good Morning!  Hi Christy!
I'm working on getting into the holiday spirit.  I spent yesterday working on Christmas Cards, mixing up cookeis, and listening to Christmas music.  I'm almost there...I think once I get my tree up I will be ready to go!

Last week I read Wild Thing, by Robin Kaye its the start of a new series featuring the Kincaids which we met in Yours for the Taking.  I thought I thought it was a cute, fun read.

Now I'm reading Three Nights with a Scoundrel, by Tessa Dare and enjoying it so far.

Have a good week everyone!

Hey Christy and all my fellow Reece's peeps!
I am happy to say after a long dry spell I finally have some recommends for today. I've had several blah books and I find it irritating when I have several of those back to back. So I am happy to recommend
1. The Guardian by Margaret Mallory this was a recommend from Ronlyn and was a wonderful read!
2. Recklessly yours by Allison Chase. I am really enjoying this series. It is different and I like those.
3. Lastly.... I just liked this book. But.. I think if I hadn't been preoccupied with Taylor being sick (and all the other cluster stuff going on) while trying to read this book I would have probably like it a lot more than I give it credit for. The book is
Highlander's Sword by Amanda Forester.

Christy, Jared is pre-ordered and my NOOK is patiently waiting for his arrival. I haven't even started my shopping which is not unusual for me. The good thing I just buy for my kids so I don't have a whole extended family I have to buy for.
Hope everyone has a great week!!

Hi and Happy Monday,

Less than two weeks until Christmas! Can't believe it. I think everything is under control here in upstate New York. No snow and none predicted for at least 10 days. Yay for that.

I have been catching up on my reading. Loved Heart of a Killer by Jami Alden. Also, Saints Gate by Carla Neggers was excellent. First in a series of these two detectives.

Read the series by Sharon Sala, Blood Stains, Blood Ties and Blood Trails. Didn't know what to expect but I loved the books.

Currently reading Kiss Me Crazy by Ednah Walters. Its ok but I liked the first two in the Fitzgerald Series - Slow Burn and Mine Until Dawn.

Off to address Christmas cards. Have a great week everyone.

Pre-order done weeks ago!!! Desperately counting the days! I had some really good reads and then I completely stalled with a book I just couldn't get through. Having troubles getting jump-started again! I do have one book to recommend, Hot Zone by Catherine Mann. It's the second in the series about pararescue men and, although I thought the first one was "eh", I absolutely loved Hot Zone! Lots of action, romance, damaged hero, etc. It was a really good read!!

Good morning all,
I read a few books this week, but the two I must recommend are: Seduction of a Highland Lass and Never love a Highlander, both by Maya Banks. They were great I highly recommend them. Thats all for me. Happy Monday!!

Happy Monday peeps....Christy, I loved both of those books, but I am not a 2 book-at-a-time reader, I would get confused. I like to be totally ensconced in what ever I am reading.

I read a few ok books last week, but one I really liked. I finally read Jessica Scott's Because of You. I really liked it. I agree with some the readers, that there isn't to much action, it is more about the people than the action, but I didn't find that took away from the book. I really enjoyed it. I can't wait till book 2, next year.

This past weekend my husband had is annual dinner and auction, so that really kept me busy last week. They raised just over $18,000 for their FFA program, we were thrilled, and exhausted.

Have a great week everyone.

Hi Christy , hi Everyone,
I am a day late because my son came home from the UK for Christmas holidays and so I was busy cooking his favourite meal and spending the evening with him chatting. Its good to hav e him home for the holidays.

I am not ready for Christmas jet because there is some more shopping to do- as every year I am late with that.

I have only one recommend this week and that is Jill Shalvis` Head over Heels . I enjoyed all the Lucky Harbour books but Chloes book I liked best and I highly recommend it.

Christy I also preordered Sweet Reward and am really glad that the waiting is almost over.

Have a great week everyone!

Sorry I'm late!! I missed Rec Monday...again. :( My new job is getting in the way of my reading time and my life! I do not like it one bit. LOL Just kidding...kind of...

Christy, I read two books at the same time a lot. Sometimes I like a real dark erotic book, but it's too much for me to read in one sitting so I'll read a light fun contemporary one too. Doing it like that seems to balance my reading out for me. There were times where I've read four at a time...never again! Right now I'm reading Thoughtless by S.C. Stephens and Hidden Summit by Robyn Carr.

Last week I read Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire and Flat-Out Love by Jessica Park....and I think that's it. They are completely different and I liked them both very much.

I still haven't started shopping, but I will this weekend, hopefully.

Hope everyone has a great week and maybe I will make it on time for next week. :)

Hey All! Sorry I'm late. Life once again intervened and put me way behind. Thanks so much for all the great recommends. There's a strong chance that Santa will bring me a few bookstore gift cards and based upon these recommendations, they will be put to good use very quickly!

Thank you to all those who have pre-ordered SWEET REWARD! Since this is the last book in the series, I really would love to give the LCR gang a great farewell send-off with good first week sales for SWEET REWARD! Wouldn't it make a great Christmas present for Noah and the gang? (:

I recently did an interview with author Angi Morgan and today, I'm over at her blog Get Lost in a Story chatting and answering questions. If you get a chance, come over and tell me which LCR operative you'd most like to have dinner with. I'm also giving away 3 LCR books, winners' choice! http://getlostinastory.blogspot.com/

Hope everyone is having a fabulous week. And though I've been promising you for months, things are almost finalized and I hope to have good news to share with you soon. Stay tuned!

If you're out and about shopping or traveling, have fun and stay safe!
