Good Monday All!
Hope you had a fabulous weekend filled with rest and reading. Looking forward to hearing about the wonderful books you loved.
So, tell me, what you did you think of the CHANCES ARE cover. (If you missed it, it's in the post below this one) It's quite different from the others and I figure some of you are shocked. A couple of people have messaged me, fearing that I'm taking the LCR stories in a different direction. Nothing could be further from the truth. CHANCES ARE is definitely in line with all other LCR stories. What I loved about this cover was not only that it's beautiful and features a woman who looks just the way I picture Angela, but it actually has something to do with the storyline. This is a scene directly from the book. (Hint: Angela goes undercover as an exotic dancer)The story is tender, emotional, thrilling and full of surprises. LOL Sounds like I'm writing my own review!
Did you happen to notice I said book and not novella? Yep, this massive story has reached the point where it can no longer be called a novella. Also, the first draft is done! Yayayayayayay! However, there are still two or threes scenes I want to add which means it's going to be close to 70,000 words. Though that means a little longer on getting the story out to you, I think if I released it now you'd feel short changed. I do not want that. Take heart though, it will be done and in your hands in the not too distant future. I hope to share the back cover blurb with you this week so you can get a sense of these two wonderful characters and the adventure they're about to embark upon to arrive at their HEA.
Switching over to my Ella Grace persona for a moment, I received the back cover blurb for MIDNIGHT LIES, which you can read here: MIDNIGHT LIES And I got a glimpse of the cover the other day. Wowza! It's beautiful and hot! Can't wait to share it with you when it's finished.
I've already received some lovely early reviews of MIDNIGHT SECRETS and I'm thrilled that readers are enjoying the story of Savannah and Zach. Will be so happy when April 30 arrives so we can all talk about it together!
Sorry, no recommends from me today--still reading through Rita entries. Also, this week, I'm returning to Midnight for revisions to Quinn and Samantha's story. Can't wait to revisit these wonderfully complicated characters!
Looking forward to hearing about your great reads from last week.
Stay warm everyone and have a most excellent day!

Hey Christy!
I have the day off from school, and although I'm having to clean the house, it still feels like a day off. There's no one here to question my need to read a chapter, or ten, between chores. :-)
I finished Christie Ridgway's Beach house #9 this weekend. What a great book! I've never read her, but I really enjoyed this. I'd also definitely recommend Marie Force's newly released Waiting for Love, the latest in her Gansett Island series.
SO excited about CHANCES ARE and the MIDNIGHT series!
Hi Christy!
Love the cover...Angela is smokin' hot!
No new recs this week...I re-read the rest of Kristen Ashley's Rock Chick series and did a re-read of Karen Rose's You Belong to Me. All just as good the 2nd time around. I plan to start Karen's No One Left to Tell tonight.
Have a good week everyone!
Hola!
I'm super excited about the length of Chances Are...I'd rather wait a bit longer and have more to read!! Plus the cover was smokin hot. Yes, different, but very cool. And of course, patiently waiting for Ella's book(s) to hit the shelves, too!!
No recommends from me this week. I read one book and two novellas and none were fabulous enough to mention.
I also LOVE the cover!! I cant believe people actually emailed you about it!! Makes me laugh! I think I am more excited now to read it!!
As for reading...I wish...Baby Sofia has started teething..I know...and Tasty Book Tours is slammed with Tours, so I haven't read too much, but did manage to finish the ARC of Revenge of the Girl with the Great Personality by Elizabeth Eulberg, if you like YA, you will LOVE her books!
As for me, after I finish a book for Review, I am going to read Midnight Secrets...Even if Sofia has to listen to every word!! hee hee, I know she will LOVE it!!
I just finished Lilliana Hart's Shadows and Silk and it was wonderful!! Book 2, Secrets and Satin, is my next read and I can't wait to start. Have to have something great to keep me occupied until Chances Are is released, right?
Hi Christy,
I may have sounded silly to some but I am glad that the cover is about the story line.
I finished "Sleepwalker" by Wendi Corsi Staub. Today, I hope to read "Shadowkiller."
The books are great but I do miss the romance of the books that I usually read when I suspense.
Anonymous about Wendy Corsi Staub the same one writing this one.
Marijane Diodati
Wow! This day has gotten away from me fast.
LOVE LOVE LOVE the CHANCES ARE cover! It's a beaut and Angela is pictured just as I've imagined her. And I couldn't be more pleased with the change from novella to full-blown book!!
My recommendation this week comes from Cynthia Eden and her lates Romantic Suspense entitled "Die For Me." Whew -- it's a psychological thriller well-worth checking out. And the romance ain't too bad either!
I'll second Kara's recommendation on Marie Force's latest in the McCarthys of Gansett Island series. "Waiting for Love" is a fun-to-read romance!
That's it from windy Oklahoma where the sun shines brightly but the clouds are building in the west.
Happy Reading!
Hi all, late today, but had to travel for work on my day off, yuck!
That said, I am LOVING the rock Chick series by Kristen Ashley. I was laughing out loud on the plane today, whe reading Hank Nightengale, yet another of my romance boyfriends book.
Anne, I can't wait to read the Cynthia Eden!
Christy, I Love the cover !
Have a great week all!
Hi Christy and all. I've loved all of your covers. I'm glad it's more than a novella. No problem there. Miss hanging around here. Good to see some familiar names.
Really late, but wanted to say 'hey'.
No really awesome books for me this week. A few so-so.
Happy Reading!!
Hi All! Thanks for the recommends. I hope you added several to your TBR list. I certainly did and am planning to read one this week. Will report back next week if it's as good as it sounds.
I'm so happy everyone is loving the cover of CHANCES ARE. I've been a bit timid on showing it to you because it is so different and somewhat flamboyant. However, I'm thrilled at the response. And hopefully the back cover blurb gives the front cover more context. Can't wait until it's out there for you to read.
I'm headed out of town for a few days. I'm in the midst of revisions for ML and then will get back to work on CA. Need time away from the Internet to concentrate fully. :)
Be sure to come by tomorrow and post your recommends. Whether I'm here or not, we're all looking for great reads!
