Good Monday All!
Hope you had a fun weekend, enhanced with some really great reads.
If you didn't get the chance yet, be sure to read my post before this one to see what's going on in my writing life. I also addressed several questions I've received about the future of LCR. If it doesn't answer all your questions, you know you can always ask.
I haven't mentioned this here yet, but I am going to be at the RWA conference in Atlanta, which begins two weeks from Wednesday. (Anyone else surprised that it's already July?!) I'll be at the literacy signing on Wednesday night, so if you're there, I hope you'll come by and say hey. Would love to meet you. I'll have chocolate! Oh, and books too. :)
Since I've got myself scheduled so tightly with three different series, I'm not going to be online very much the next few months. However Recommend Monday is a must, so you'll always hear from me then. Also, stayed tuned for a 4th of July announcement and a special giveaway you won't want to miss!
Tomorrow I have a special guest visiting on the blog. Naima Simone is one of my Southern Magic chaptermates and is one of the loveliest and most vibrant people I know. She has a new romantic suspense series with Entangled Publishing and the first book, Secrets and Sins: Gabriel came out last week. I was fortunate enough to read an advanced copy of the book and loved it! I hope you'll make a point of coming by tomorrow and learning more about Naima and her wonderful books.
Since I've been concentrating on writing, I've not had a lot of time to read lately. However, I have been listening to Ella Grace's MIDNIGHT SECRETS on audio and am surprised by how much I am enjoying it considering I know everything that's going to happen. Other than one particular voice, the narrator is doing a great job. I especially love the way she reads Aunt Gibby. If you have the book on Kindle, you can purchase the audio for $3.99, which is what I did. Works great on my phone!
Okay, that's it for me. I hope you'll come back tomorrow and chat with Naima. And don't forget to come by on July 4 for a fun giveaway.
Have a great Monday all. Now, tell us what we should be reading!

I just finished Maya Banks Forged in Steele. It was wonderful. I only like her KGI series because they are Romantic Suspense.
Hi Everyone!
This year is flying by! I got a lot of reading done this weekend. I read both Maya Banks Forged in Steele and Monica McCarty's The Hunter from her Highland Guard series. I really enjoyed them both!
Hope everyone has a great 4th of July!
Exposed by Laura Griffin and Beautiful Stranger by Christina Lauren.
Happy Reading!!
Hi, Christy!
This weekend I finished Heart of Obsidian by Nalini Singh, the latest--and the best!--in her Psy/Changeling series. Awesome book and sad to see it end!
Like KC I recommend Exposed by Laura Griffin. I also rcommend Deadly Recall by Donnell Ann Bell. Both of them were excellent!
HI all! Crazy busy weekend here, but did manage to read Barefoot in the Sand by Roxanne St. Clair. Super cute read, perfect for summer!
Have a wonderful 4th of July Celebration and a great week everyone!
HAPPY CANADA DAY!!!!
Christy, you are so generous to attend all those events so your fans can meet you! I love living in Nova Scotia and being a Cape Breton Girl but, one of the downfalls (besides all the frickin’ RAIN!!!) is that no-one ever make it up our way for signings and such…we are just too far out of the way. That’s why I’m so glad I can connect online with authors like you! Keep on keeping on, Christy ‘cause you are so wonderful to your fans!!!
Now on to recommends….I’ve read so many people talking about Kristen Ashley online that I decided to give her a hook this week. I’ve read her Dream Man Series – Mystery Man, Wild Man, Law Man and Motorcycle Man – I couldn’t put them down. It’s a darn good thing that I a) am not working right now and b) have no kids to worry about ‘cause I was up until about 3AM every night this week reading. I’ve now started her Chaos Series and am in the middle of book 1, Own the Wind. I kinda wish I had started with the Rock Chick Series so I could read all of her books in order. I love books that connect and Kristen Ashley’s writings read like a never-ending saga……I love it!!!
I hope everyone has a great week and you all enjoy July 4th. Don’t forget to wish your Canadian friends a Happy Canada Day!!!
Nicole
Hi Christy and Everyone!
Like many others I read Maya Banks Forged in Steele ( was a bit dissappointed about it, because it sometimes was a bit too sappy, but the action was terrific as always and I am very much looking forward to Donovans story).
Laura Griffins Exposed was a really good read, although my personal fav of the Tracers series is "Snapped".
Christy - I hope you take some time off during the long weekend, it seems like you will be very busy the rest of the year.
Happy reading, Everyone!
Great Recommends Everyone. Love seeing some of my favorite authors recommended here. And a belated Happy Canada Day to you, Nicole! Hope you had a great one.
Don't forget to come by today's recommend. I have a recommend, too! :)
