Just wanted to pop in and shout out a quick 'Hi!' I'm in the midst of copy edits for LAST CHANCE. They're due next week, so my focus will be on that for the next few days.
I hope you're all staying warm and reading some excellent books. I'll do my regular post on Monday so you can share your good reads and recommendations from this week's reading. Later on, probably Thursday or Friday, after copy edits are out the door and I'm breathing a bit easier, I'll come back and give you an update on some things. And maybe have a giveaway or two.
Have a fun-fabulous weekend! Stay warm, read well and be safe.

Hey Christy
Did you watch the Bama Crimson Tide football game last night?
I thought of you.
Hey Mary! Yes, I watched the game. So scary in parts. I so hate that McCoy was hurt. He seems like such a fine young man and so talented. I hope he's okay.
However, I am a Bama girl and am very happy for my team!
Thanks for thinking of me. (:
My son Jason asked me why I cared who won. I told that Christy, one of "my authors' is from Bama so it matters. He just shook his head at me LOL. It was so excitng but I always feel bad for the other team.
Those Southern boys are pretty hunky. I hope McCoy is okay. Don't know if it's good or bad he couldn't feel his arm.
Everyone needs a Snuggy at this point. It is soooo cold! Our classrooms are heated of course, but the hallways are not. I'm trying to hibernate in my room until 3:30. I left only for lunch, then ran home to a warm house!
Hope the editing goes well and you get a chance to read a book or two before Monday's chat. Have a great weekend.
Well, Ya just ruined my plans!! was going to pop into last post asn ask if it was Monday yet *sigh*
No Mayhem here!
Hey, Christy,
We are having a heat wave here in Ohio it's up to 31deg. They siad we would get around 6 in. total of snow between yesterday and today.. Well I got news for them WRONG!!!
And after the wind we have drifs everywhere!
well thats all for now! *waves* bye!
and i guess i can not type today. Sorry!
Mary, I'm the same way. I'm glad when my team is winning, I really want them to win, but I'm always thinking about the other team. Especially in college sports. We often forget that they're just young kids striving for a dream. LOL. I would have made a terrible coach!
Tell your son, Jason, that I really appreciate your support!
Stay warm, Kara! And don't run in a snuggie. They might trip you up. (Not that I would know anything about that, of course). (:
Oh wow, Ida, enjoy your heat wave. We're still at 19 degrees here. It's sunny but oh so very cold.
And watch out for those snow drifts. I've heard they're easy to get your car stuck in them. (Not that I would know anything about that either) (:
Gee, Christy, you don't run in Snuggies or drive your car into snow drifts? What do you Bama folks do for fun? Oh yeah, win national championships. :)
For the record (and I agree with you that it was a real shame Tx QB got hurt), my younger son said Bama would've won anyway.
I don't watch football, but I did watch the Cats give Louisville a good spanking in basketball. We got a good bit of snow. Roads are still covered. Got to redo my Dr's appt, didn't want to go anyway. He will have a fit when he finds out I fell out of my chair last week and now my foot is swelled.
Ouch, Robin, hope your foot is better soon!
I think other parts of Alabama got some snow, but we only received a few flurries and body numbing coldness. So ready for Spring!!!
Kara, We are going to have to show Christy how to have fun *wispers* well after the books are done!
Fun? What's that? *Snort*
Talking to you guys is fun to me
Have a great weekend.
Thanks, Jane. Have a good weekend too. And stay warm!
Hi Christy!
yes we are working on the staying warm. lol I live in Michigan so it's a contant thing. I wanted to tell you i received the copy of Rescue me from your contest a week or so ago. Thanks so much! I love that it's autographed and the book marked is great.
thanks again
Lisa
Yay, Lisa, thanks for letting me know you got the book! And I'm glad you like the bookmark.
For those of you still waiting for your prize, Robin, Terry, Terri and Sharon, it's coming! I ran out of envelopes and hubby has to go get me some more before I can do more mailings. They'll be sent next week!
Lisa, I can't imagine what Michigan must feel like right now. We almost moved to Kalamazoo several years ago and I'm convinced if we did, I wouldn't have survived a winter. Indiana winters almost got me and I'm sure Michigan's winters are even colder.
