Recommend Monday (very early) (:

Hi Everyone-

I'm posting way early, as you can see. I have some family issues to handle and will be offline all of next week. However, I wanted you to be able to post your recommendations just like always. So, if you want to post now, you can, or if you like, you can wait until Monday officially arrives and post then. Feel free to chat among yourselves and have a good time without me. I'll check back in with you as soon as I'm able.

Hope you'll forgive this short, SWEET post. If all goes well, we'll return to the regularly scheduled Recommend Monday on April 25.

And heck, if you like, feel free to post a recommend every day!

Until then, stay safe and hope you find many wonderful reads to share with us!

Thank you, Kris. My mom had knee surgery last week and I'm taking a few days off to take care of her. She's doing great!

Hope you have a wonderful week!

Hi all, Happy Monday!

Christy, I hope your mom is on the road to recovery.

This last week I read Skipping a Beat by Sarah Pekkanen. Not in the romance genre, but a love story nontheless. Wow! I loved it! It's a book that make you stop and think, well at least it did for me. Two of my teamates read it also and finished it over the weekend and seemed to enjoy it as much as I did. Let me know what you think if you give it a read.

This week I picked up Into the Night by Janelle Denison.

Have a great week everyone!

Hi Christy! I hope your Mom recovers quickly!

I had a Linda Howardathon this weekend...Open Season, To Die For and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Her writing cracks me up!

I hope everyone has a good week and a good Easter!!

Hugs to your mom Christy, hope you enjoy your time with her!!

I traveled back to Virgin River last week. I finished Moonlight Road, Promise Canyon and Wild Man Creek.

I also got caught up on the Troubleshooters, finishing Hot Pursuit, moving on to Izzy (someday but not right now).

I plan to finish Virgin River today or tomorrow, then move on to some Romantic Suspense. I have the next Guardian Angelo by Roxanne St. Claire and the new series by Shannon K Butcher all downloaded and ready.

Have a great week everyone!!!

Thank you all for the good wishes. Mom's doing amazingly well. She's always been my inspiration and this is no different. She is one tough cookie! (:

Looks like some great books were devoured last week. Thanks so much for the recommendations!

Tara, Skipping a Beat sounds really interesting. Will have to check that out.

Alison, can't think of a better way to spend a weekend than a LindaHoward-athon. So many fabulous books by this author!

Hope, looks like you're set for some fabulous romantic suspense. Enjoy!

Jackie, you're going to LOVE Breaking Point! Zach is such a drool-worthy, sigh-worthy hero. Enjoy!

Hi all...I posting late because my computer was being evil all day and Tim (my own personal hero) had to fix it when he got home from work. I guess what it did it happens to a lot of people who are running Windows 7...At least my books are all safe.

I read Devious last week by Lisa Jackson. I was pretty good. I was shocked by who the killer in the book was so that was nice. She also set it up for at least two more books that I could envision with the loose ends that were left.

Now I am debating on if I want to get Eve by Iris Johanesn when is comes out in the AM or just wait a bit. I did preorder Beverly Barton's new on though.

Hope your mom gets better fast Christy.

Happy reading all!

I finished (but didn't want to)Face Of Danger by Roxanne St. Claire.

"It rose up from her memory in the lost cadence of her mother's voice and guided her along."

Big huge sigh. It was awesome. Loved kickass smart mouth Vivi. Perfect foil for by-the-book FBI guy Colton.

Also loved:
Sweet Possession - Maya Banks
Hotter Than Wildfire by Lisa Marie Rice
I first typed Hooter instead of Hotter LOL.

Hi Sarah, how wonderful that you have your own personal hero to fix your computer. I would love one of those. My hubby and I just kind of look at each other and scratch our heads when we have computer problems. (:

Devious sounds like a great read. I love when I'm surprised by the killer. I find myself going back and checking to see where I should have known who it was. Fun!

Thanks for your good wishes on my mom. She's doing great, if we only can get her to sleep through the night!

Have a great week!

Hey Mary! Thanks for the good wishes on my mom. And thanks for the recommendations! Looks like you had some great reads last week. And LOL on Hooter instead of Hotter. I love funny typos!

Have a wonderful week!

Hi Everyone,
I am a day late because of some renovations in our house (new energy saving windows in kitchen, bathroom and master bedroom).I am still busy cleaning all the mess, which is not my favourite kind of work, so there was not much time for reading.
But I started Julie James " the sexiest man alive" and so far I like it. Over the easter weekend I plan to read Shill Shalvis` trilogy about the Wilder Brothers and I am looking forward to " Face of Danger" , which hopefully will be delivered soon.

Christy, I wish your Mom a speedy recovery and " a happy and blessy Easter to you all!"

Well, of course I'm late...again. A child that can't decide if he is going to be sick or not, weather that fluxuates between gorgeous and tornadic, and a classroom full of kids who think mid-April may has well be June! However, I have done some fun reading. A new to me author, Kaylea Cross, has a RS series. I read the first one, Out of Her League. Very good! I also read the Kat Martin book, Against the Fire, LuAnn McLane's Playing for Keeps, and another new to me author, KM Daughters' Against Doctor's Orders. Right now I'm reading PC's Breaking Point and the new JR Ward book.
Christy, I'm keeping you and your mom in my thoughts, and hope she has a quick recovery.

Hi Elke! Rennovations are wonderful when they're finished, aren't they?

I need to get The Sexiest Man Alive. (The book...not the actual man)(: I've heard it's great. Might have to download that one on my Kindle.

Thanks for your good wishes for my mom. She's doing great.

Happy Easter to you too!

Hey Kara! Hope your week becomes less chaotic as it continues. And hope your son decides he's not sick. Also, here's hoping the weather settles down!

Thanks for the new recommends. Will definitely check them out!
