Recommend Monday!

Happy Monday All!

I'm getting ready for the Romantic Times convention in LA and still have oodles to do. So let's make this a short and SWEET post.

List your recommended reads from last week.
Tell us what you're reading now.
Tell us what books you plan to buy within the next month.

Oh, and one splendiferous thing! LAST CHANCE won the 2010 Romantic Times Reviewers Choice Award for Best Romantic Suspense! Yay for McKenna and Lucas!!! And on Thursday, I'll be at the ceremony to pick up the award. Not sure if I have to say anything, but if I do, please send good wishes for clear, concise words and no spinach teeth. (:

Hope everyone has a fabulous week. I'll check in with you all later this week and tell you how it's going.

Congratulations Christy! This is no suprise to me, all your books are wonderful!

I am reading book 2 of Deborah Cooke's Dragonfire series.

I have lots of books on my tbr for April. This year, it seems that everyone is putting out a lot more books within each month---I love that! LOL

I will be reading Christine Feehan Savage Nature, Sherrily Kenyon Born of Shadows, Shelly Laurenston Big Bad Beast, Kylie Brant Deadly Dreams, Maya Banks Sweet Possession, Lora Leigh Navarro's Promise...and more...

There are some writers whom I haven't read that I am being tempted by: Pamela Clare's I-Team series, Lori Foster's Men Who Walk The Edge Of Honor series, Lisa Marie Rice's Protectors Delta Force series, Nina Bruhns Men In Uniforms series...

Once again, congratulations Christy! Have a fantastic week!

Congrats on the RT award, Christy! LAST CHANCE certainly deserves the award. Eat CHOCOLATE in place of spinach - this will put a smile on your face and alleviate green teeth!!

Just finished Eloisa James's WHEN BEAUTY TAMED THE BEAST. Lots of great witty dialogue and some life lessons as well in this fun fairy-tale-esque historical.

A friend shared an older contemporary romance by Janice Lynn (a new-to-me author) entitled JANE MILLIONAIRE . . . a take on the reality show The Bachelor. An easy, fast and feel good fun-to-read romance.

I just closed the cover on Roxanne St. Claire's SHIVER OF FEAR which I thoroughly enjoyed. I really like those Guardian Angelinos and can't wait for #3 FACE OF DANGER with Vivi and Colton. Who can ignore a skateboarding female PI???

Just beginning Suzanne Brockmann's BREAKING THE RULES. Reviews all over the place on this one - I can't wait for satisfy my own curiosities.

As for must buys in April:

ONE WAS A SOLDIER by Julia Spencer-Fleming (it's been way too long since I visited Miller's Kill).

ANY MAN OF MINE by Rachel Gibson

MY ONE AND ONLY by Kristin Hannah (it's getting rave reviews)

COVER ME by Catherine Mann (I loved her military books and this is the first in her new parajumper series)

DEAD BY MORNING, Beverly Barton
DEADLY DREAMS, by Kylie Brant

Wishing everyone a great week with lots of sunshine and colorful spring flowers!!

Congratulations, Christy!!

I've had a couple of busy reading weeks. I read and am a bit in love with the Mackinzie's by Linda Howard. Thanks to all of you here who suggested I get this series!

No Place to Run by Maya Banks and starting the next in the series on my flight today.

A Lot Like Love by Julie James, loved it! And the Chicago references make me smile.

Finally, I read A Creed in Stone Creek by Linda Lael Miller and am looking forward to the next in the series also.

Have fun at RWA! I used to live in SoCal, so enjoy your time there!

I am off to catch my flight, or rather, sit in the airport while my plane is delayed due to weather.
Have a wonderful week everyone!

Totally loved The Chase by Erin McCarthy. I think it's my fave.
I was getting my hair done and scared the hairdresser by LOL like maniac during one scene. Considering it's the 4th one that's pretty good.

Now reading & loving Shiver of Fear by Roxanne St. Claire. Just started & I'm hooked.

OK, let's see if I follow all the directions as given:

3. In the next month, I hope to get my hands on the new books by Kristan Higgins, Jill Shalvis, Roxanne St. Claire, Lori Foster, and Pamela Clare, just to name a few.

Congratulations Christy on a well deserved award. I am sure the party will be grand and I hope you have a blast.

I don't have any recommends either. I reread Noah and Samara. And I also reread the first Guardian Angelo's book by Roxanne St. Claire getting ready for the new one. I am in a rut, hoping to get out of it soon. I am heading back to Virgin River.

Have a lovely trip and ladies, have a great week.

I don't have any recomends either. Now I am waiting on Rachel Gibsson's "Any Man Of Mine", Pamela Claire and most importantly " Sweet Revenge". :)

Congrats on the big Win Christy. Your speech will be great.

I have been in a strange reading mood. One time it is romantic suspense and then the next book is chick lit.

This week I read Midnight Caller by Leslie Tentler. It was ok. I know it is suppose to be part of a Trilogy but I am not sure if I am going to finish it. The book ended really badly in my opinion. But maybe that was because I was expecting more.

Last night I finished When We Were Friends by Elizabeth Arnold. The book was kinda slow but a good read.

Today I started Devious By Lisa Jackson so I am hoping that will be good.

Books I have on my must buy this month list are:
Eve by Iris Johansen
Dead by Morning by Barton

Happy reading all

Thank you all so much for the SWEET words of congrats! You're the best!

So I'm in LA and so far, I've learned that people here go to bed late and get up early. Traffic finally stopped around 3:00 AM but started back up around 5:00. But I got a great night's sleep and am raring to go. I kind of like having these extra two hours. Since I'm not a morning person, my normal wake-up time is early morning here. Hope that lasts all week!

So great to see so many good books being read and the list of upcoming books you're eager to buy. Love seeing that!

And for those in a reading slump, I tend to go back to my favorite reads to get me out of that slump.

I was so fortunate to receive an ARC of Pamela Clare's Breaking Point that's due to be released on May 3. Oh. My. Gosh! What a terrific read! I read it on the plane yesterday. You guys know I'm a slow reader so to read a book in one day is a a feat for me. I had no problems starting and finishing that book in one day. It grabs you instantly and does not let you go. As of now (will have to give this serious thought) Julian is still my number one I-Team series guy but Zach is definitely in the running. What a hero! And Natalie is awesome.

Linda, I strongly encourage you to start Pamela's I-Team series. You won't regret it.

Don't forget that we're discussing RETURN TO ME on April 26. And the next week, I have a special guest visiting. She's a new author and her debut book, Demon Hunting in Dixie comes out on Tuesday, April 26. So stay tuned to hear when Lexi George will be visiting and go check out her book. It looks like fabulous fun!

Okay, I'm headed out into the hotel to register. Hope everyone has a fantastic day. Will check in later to let you know how it's going!
