SWEET Giveaway Day Fifteen

Hey Everyone!

What a great list of pies you gave yesterday! For those who might want to give recipes, feel free. I know we have several great cooks who follow this blog and they would probably appreciate the new ideas. Wish I was one of those great cooks--hubby wishes that, too! (: However, with the holidays coming up, I might just try out a couple of recipes.

Congrats to J. Barrett for winning A Secret Affair by Mary Balogh and Rana for winning Ravishing in Red by Madeline Hunter! J. and Rana, email your mailing address to christy@christyreece.com and I'll get your book out to you next week.

Today's SWEET prize is a signed copy of Angel's Rest by Emily March!

And continuing our SWEET theme, what is your favorite dessert to take to a family or friend gathering? I usually take a strawberry cake from a great place here in Birmingham called Edgar's Bakery. If I'm doing the cooking though, I either go for brownies or fudge. Love that chocolate!

I'll collect SWEET answers all day and announce the winner tomorrow.

Have a great Wednesday!

Yum! I missed the pie discussion yesterday and now I'm hungry!

I love Georgetown Cupcakes and will try to bring them to any special events. They are ALWAYS a crowd pleaser.

No need to enter me!

Okay, beware I'm already getting hungry and may just start asking for recipes.

Crystal, would love to know more about that twinkie cake.

Cheryl, would love to hear more about the triple chocolate pound cake!

And Kris, perhaps we could arrange a trade? Jim and Nick's cheese biscuits for a Georgetown cupcake. (:

It's most often a German Chocolate Cake - recipe was my mother's and everyone loved it! Mine never seems to turn out as scrumptious as I remember hers being.

OMG....I want this book.....I have been looking at it for a while. Ok, down to business....

I USUALLY take a Banana Pudding, if it is a family thing or something that is more casual but if it is something other than that, I make a strawberry almond shortcake.

Crystal.....Ummmm, Twinkie cake?

I usually take pecan pies, banana pudding or strawberry prezzel desert to special family things. I always get picked for the deserts. Baby sister's birthday is coming up and she wants the Strawberry prezzel desert. It has a prezzel crust has cream cheeze, frozen strawberries, strawberry jello, sugar, and cool whip.

I like to bring homebaked carrot muffins. They are healthy and so delicious when hot! Sometimes I will put cream on top.
