Tuesday's Question

Good Tuesday Everyone!

Hope you're staying warm wherever you are. It was 14 this morning when I woke. I am now ready to apologize to the sultry summer of last year that I obviously offended. I'm inviting it back anytime it wants to return.

I'm still in the midst of my cold/flu/pneumonia/consumption/... LOL, yes, I know I'm being a bit melodramatic but yikes, I hate being sick! Poor hubby is tiptoeing around the house since I'm not the most, shall we say, agreeable sick person.

When I'm sick, I have several movies that are like a hot cup of tea for me. I turn them on and fall asleep while watching and love being able to wake up in the middle of the movie and know exactly what's happened or is about to happen. There's comfort in that for me. Some of my favorites are Sleepless in Seattle, You've Got Mail and The Princess Bride.

So, here's today's question. Do you have a favorite movie(s) you like to watch when you're not feeling well? If so, what are they?

Okay, I'm headed back to bed where in my dreams palm trees are swaying under a brilliant blue sky and the sun is warm and wonderful.

Hope everyone has a fabulous Tuesday!

I can't think of a movie that I watch when I'm not feeling well. Even when I'm not feeling well the kiddos think Mickey Mouse our The Magic School Bus is a must. I could turn something on in another room, but they seem to think mom has to be around constantly. :)
But my feel good movies would be The Notebook or Sweet Home Alabama something light and fun. Granted The Notebook isn't very light or fun in the overall scheme of things, but it still makes me feel good.
Get better Christy!!

This sort of dates me, but I love watching Grease when I am not feeling well. And the other's are all Reese Witherspoon. I love Sweet Home Alabama and Legally Blonde and Legally Blood 2. And Christy, I like you have watched them so many times that if I doze off, I can pick up right where it is. And this time of year a cup of hot cocoa is also good to have while watching them. Hope you get better soon, and I do remember you are a little prickly when you get sick.

I really like the old black & white movies -- any of the old romantic comedy's will do. I love Cary Grant. One of my fave's of his is "Mr Blandings Builds His Dream House". Another old comedy that was just recently released on DVD is "No Time For Sergeants" with Andy Griffith is a hoot.

My husband and I frequently use quotes from our favorite movies as jokes for things going on around us. There are a couple of movies we can almost quote verbatim. I'm sure people think we are very strange! haha

Christy -- be sure to drink plenty of liquids to wash those nasty germs away!! Hope you feel better!!

One of my all time favorite movies is "pride and prejudice" in both versions ( Kyra Knightleys and Jennifer Ehles), "The lake house" ( that would be my"make me feel better when Im ill" movie -I have watched it countless times and will do it again). When I am in the mood for more action "die hard" with Bruce Willis is my first choice.

Christy we have a saying here: A cold will take seven days with the help of a doctor and a week without. Hope the seven days are over soon and you get better.

Can't really say a movie because when I am sick I tune in to A&E with anything that has Bill Curtis. For some reason his voice just makes me relax and and go to sleep!

I might not be sick, but my kiddo has the chicken pox! Its not fun at all, but at least we are getting it out of the way now.

When im sick I love watching action/suspense movies. Anything that gets me caught up in it enough that I forget im sick.

My list: Fly Boys / National Treasure / Oceans 11,12, and 13 / Charlies Angels. And the list goes on and on.

The sick kid wants any and all the Strawberry Shortcake she can get.

Hope you all have a wonderful Tuesday!!!

This time of year when I'm sick it's The Hallmark channel, or ABCFamily both are playing Christmas movies. Other times it would be "Gone with the Wind", "Overboard", or what ever is on the Disney Channel. I set the timer on my TV and when I wake up it's off so Mom won't yell at me....LOL
Hugs Christy, Hope you feel better soon

I'm not a big movie watcher, probably because I never seem to have two hours in a row to sit and watch one...and our tv is forever on football. I did rent The Princess Bride after we talked about it the other day. Am hoping to entice the family into watching it instead of, well, football.
I do have favorite Criminal Minds episodes I have recorded that I've returned to a time or two. Does that count?

Am sending positive vibes your way. I predict you'll feel better tomorrow. :-)

I like to watch Forest Gump; Tom Hanks is awesome. I love In The Line of Fire with Clint Eastwood, Rene Russo and John Malkovich. The the Fugitive with Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones, Absolute Power starring Gene Hackman and Clint Eastwood.

But, my all time favorites: Zorro with Antonio Banderas,The Rock with Ed Harris, Nicolas Cage and Sean Connery and The Count of Monte Cristo with James Caviezel.

I have watched them all until I know all the actors lines...I love when Rene Russo says 'Take the subject out!' :)

I hope you get better soon!!!

I don't watch much TV at all, so I'm not very likely to turn it on, but if I did, I would have to say there are many movies from the 80's and early 90's that I would watch over and over again.

I love SWEET HOME ALABAMA -- I'm a Reese Witherspoon fan! I can't wait for her next one with Paul Rudd. Hope to see it over the holidays. Another movie I love to watch is THE WAY WE WERE with Barbra Streisand and Robert Redford. It never gets too old for me! And I like the PRINCESS BRIDE, too!!!

Sorry to hear you are feeling under the weather Christy! I've been battling the sore throat, cough and stuffy nose this week. Holed up with pjs, hot tea and chicken noodle soup. Finally stepped outside the door today for the grandkid's Christmas program.

Hope you're feeling better soon!
